Hi I’m looking to network with like minded people in my area. I’m trying to find out if there are other people prepping in my area, maybe even help each other out. I have welding/fabricating/mechanic/construction skills but lack many others. I would rather share info, trade, barter, buy from or just plain help out people that have a similar mindset. Thanks rockopop28 [at] yahoo [dot] com

Looking for Idaho, Colorado or Montana Land
UT 84603 - Aug 26, 2010
We too are looking for an affordable piece of land preferably in Idaho, Colorado, or Montana. We would like to find 5 – 20 acres for $20,000 or under if possible. We are trying very hard to prepare for what we know is coming, and we would like to find others who want to work with us, or, who are looking for others to work with them–like minded people who are well on their way to being prepared. We are a professional couple and have equipment and other skills to work with. If anyone knows of any land, or if you know of others in the areas of Idaho, Colorado, or Montana of like-mind, please, please, email us at preparenow4tomorrow [at] gmail [dot] com.
I,m tired of feeling alone as I am doing this. I have two forums I run for prepping… this one, most of the members are American. In order to see this full forum you have to register.
http://www.preparingforthefuture.org/index.php
and I started a Canadian Prepping form for Canadians. This forum is slowly gathering members, but there are not many places for Canadian preppers to meet and talk about what will happen to us if SHTF

Hello, my name is Steve. My wife and I are fairly new to the Survival Blog and preparing for “whatever is coming”. We live in south-east Georgia near the city of Savannah. We are the parents of 4 kids, 3 of them are still at home and one is away at college. We are in our 40′s, self-employed and conservative. Although we are new to the survival mentality we do have a long history of being hard-working and self-reliant.
We are conservative by nature and do not consider ourselves to be “political radicals” (although we are very concerned about where our country is heading).
We are not racists, we are not militia-types, and consider ourselves to be “mainstream” hard-working middle-class folks. Due to everything that has happened to our country over the last two years our eyes have been opened up to the very bleak future that might lie ahead of us.
Now having said all of that, we are looking for like-minded people with a variety of skills to consider forming a “survival” group to exchange ideas, and perhaps form a strong allegiance to help each other out in the event of a crisis or a major disaster that takes us off the grid.
We don’t have all of the answers but are trying to learn as quickly as possible to prepare for the future.
We are looking for the following qualities in our group members:
1. Ability to work closely with others
2. Multiple skills (carpentry, mechanics, welding, electrical, nursing, medical training, military, communications systems, self-defense training, food storage skills, security, teaching, etc, etc…)
3. A willingness to learn new skills or perhaps teach your skill to others
4. People who can handle stressful conditions and pressure. We are not interested in babysitting grown adults, we need level-headed people who can think under pressure.
5. Folks who want to associate with good people and make a contribution to group survival and not play the “lone wolf” role. We are looking for folks who can get along.
So, if there is anyone out there in our area who would like to get in touch with us please send an email to Steve at :

I’m looking to communicate with like minded preparers/survivalists in the LA area. We face a unique problem based on our geographic location when TSHTF. Lets circle wagons, share ideas and start training each other for the inevitable. Maybe over time we can develop a group that will depend on one another with our lives. Never know. Not religiously affiliated but open to all who are affiliated in any way.
WSM WISHES TO FORM/JOIN A PREP SUPPORT GROUP IN THE ALBANY OREGON AREA. PREFERABLY CHRISTAIN BASED.
MY BACKGROUND IS MILITARY/SECURITY. I HAVE OVER 18 YEARS OF ARMY/AIRFORCE SECURITY EXPERIENCE WHICH INCLUED 3 CONSECUTIVE OIF TOURS OF DUTY. I WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND MONTHLY MEETINGS THAT INCLUDE POOLING OUR KNOWLEDGE, RESOURCES AND TRAINING.

House next door to mine on 5 acres for rent $800 a month. Newly remodeled 2 bedroom with well and septic surrounded by 200 acres and mostly vacant overnight rental cabins. Very quiet with hardly any traffic. I am hoping for like minded Christian Prepper neighbors.
There are three of us who have been prepping for ten years now . We are very prepared . The problem is numbers . WE have just three . There is a lot of work to still be done and time is running out . We don’t want to join a discussion group either . We are survivalists and we see all to clearly what is going on . We are looking for other Americans who are survivalists and believe in God and His Son . Please , no time wasters because we don’t have the time to waste . Penna, N J,Del,Mar welcome . We are located in Philadelphia . God Bless . . .
Just a thought here. In a SHTF situation, is it really a good idea to have a lot of people hunkered down in their own retreats waiting to come under siege by the golden horde? From a certain point of view it would be. On the other hand, self imposed isolation kind of makes it hard for you to get either reinforced or resupplied with goods or services. Wouldn’t it be better to have a flexible association of likeminded, well prepared people? Think about how successful the Underground Railroad was. They were able to affect a rescue of hundreds of slaves. What about the small groups of resisters to Hitler that was able to smuggle Jews out of occupied areas?
Think about this. Your family is for one reason or another forced to bug out too late. Instead of trying to hike for days on end over hundreds of miles you are able to move from friendly to friendly until you reach your stocked retreat. These people would have better local Intel than you would. They would know travel conditions, possible places where hostiles would be encountered, or other safe zones.
I loved JWR book. I just think he had too much of a go it alone mentality. The main issue would be making sure too many people aren’t counting on the good nature of person A and leave them unable to support themselves.
Just something to think about.
Peru
I’m looking for groups or individual preppers that are living in Peru or are interested in starting a survival group here in Peru. I am a US citizen residing full time in Peru. First contact will be only correspondence until it is established that goals motives and beliefs are compatible. Then if we have something to equally offer each other then meeting and plan could proceed. Those wishing to contact me can do so at wycfitz1 [at] gmail [dot] com
Interested in finding others in NH & Maine.
I just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone had information or was interested in a long-term bugout location lease. I am not interested in selling my land, but a long term lease might be an option that is affordable for some. I would just like some feedback at this point, the pros and cons of this strategy. This economy might turn around and some might not want ownership. I am in the mountains of east Tennessee. You can contact me at farmer [dot] john36 [at] yahoo [dot] com . Thanks for any input.
greetings all.
i was scanning info on the net and was thrilled to come upon this site. i have no land or other major resources, but have been ‘prepping’ for the past few years by acquiring basic equipment, information, and experience. it would be wonderful to simply engage in dialogue on the topic and get a feel for local sentiment…i returned from a 3 year stay in denver colorado a year ago, and am weighing (heavily) my desire to return to the city and the GREAT community there with the evermore pressing reality of current trends. either way, i think what ultimately will see us all through to the other side of this historic moment is human relationships and community, so it would be great to get in touch.
i shall pursue the emails visible in this forum.
cheers all!

I am looking for a group for me and my family. I would love for a group to be available for me and my family, only in a case of absolutely having to leave where I am at. Mostly, as a baby prepper, I would love to be able to communicate for information.
I am in the process now of trying to find a small piece of property for us. (Relocation would not be a problem, so if you know of any good (yet low-cost) places let me know!) I have about a 3 month supply of food for us, still growing everyday. I have a wide range of interests which works out well in this situation. I am not an expert, but enjoy, sewing, gardening, crotching, reading, camping, canning, etc… I read lots of things and have always enjoyed “how to” books.
I do have a plan A, and B, just would like a plan C. Would like to talk to anyone with advice.
