Hello,

My wife and I are the parents of a 2 yr old boy.  After he was born we started talking about the world we brought him into.  Shortly after that we started prepping.

We live just south of Grand Rapids and would like to meet people with whom we could bounce ideas and thoughts off of.    I find that I lay awake most nights thinking about all I have yet to do…..It’s a mountain of tasks and I’m afraid we started to late.

There are a number of things that I want to do, that I don’t know how to do, which makes matters worse.  We hit a bump in the road when the township told me it was illegal to put a hand pump on my well.  I was ready to spend the money and then was told that I would be fined heavily if I did it.  One more night of lost sleep!

We would love to talk about anything from cooking meals to medical stuff to security to alternative power and heat , etc, etc…..

At this moment, with the things that we have done, we feel that we could live quite well for 4 months.  We have the food (good variety of food), fuel, water,  etc, for that length of time.   Now we are working on getting set up for 12 months plus.

Again, just sharing a cup of coffee and ideas, or exchanging emails would be very beneficial for me and my family.

There will be a meet & Greet at the Birch Run Expo Center gun and knife show in the eating area this Saturday 8-6-11 @ 10 AM. It’s right off I-75 north of Frankenmuth. All are welcome. Come and meet some of the people face to face that you otherwise only know by email and maybe some new people you didn’t even know about. Since none of us have ever seen each other yet, here’s my description; W/M, 5-10, 200 lbs, salt & pepper hair, wearing jean shorts and a black T-shirt.
