You stand and land where you can. We landed outside of Safford, AZ because its what we could afford without going so deep into debt we would lose it. As an older experienced prepper couple, starting all over again is a push but you do what must be done.
Our land has a well and though the water sucks, we will be witching it to dig another well with better water (by hand). We have room mates to offset needs as we work back up to our previous prep status years ago before I broke my neck in a roll over. Yes I am fully functioning albeit a tad slower.
FriendHusband and I have realistic expectations of people joining us here; realizing that most folks either lack a work ethic, many don’t see the need, some folks are too radical and volatile, and others seem to think they should be able to live here at no cost. Then there is the trust issues. Ugh! We humans make things so darn complicated!
Yes we want to survive but also LIVE with some quality of life that garners close and loving, protective, honorable friendships too. Finding folks of like mind is obviously not that easy but we aren’t giving up. We will need each other and very soon. We only have an acre but its defensable and we can grow food and raise animals although not in the traditional manner.
Be well everyone
