To All Preppers in the Hickory, Newton, Conover area:

I’m taking the initiative to start a group in this area.  I realize that there are many like-minded people and groups in the area and we will be yet another group.  The goal is not to compete, but rather to help those who are looking for a group and haven’t been able to find one.  Sometimes we can be hard to locate…  :-)

Looking for other nearby preppers to exchange info./discuss prepper related events & threats locally/national, etc. Not trying to meet up and do military drills regularly or anything, just would like to connect with other low key preppers who take it seriously and plan for the worst, but live life . Maybe build a resource group to exchange news/info. when something comes up in our area that’s relevant. Also interested in other local preppers’ thoughts on threats to our area, preparedness, and aftermath scenarios..

About me..I’m into homesteading and have been an avid gardener since childhood (Big Bear) and am now kicking it up a few notches as I feel the times they are a changin’..and not for the best. I have adjusted to desert gardening, still learning for sure, and I also have always kept chickens, horses, etc. I trade with neighbors, family, but would like to start maybe a barter group? I plan on adding more small livestock soon…I’m trying to expand my firearm/self defense skills. Anyway, I plan on staying here until my oldest kid graduates High School in about 6 yrs. then I’m and outta California and off to Oregon :)
