I’m 53, fit and single. I don’t mean to toot my own horn but I can work most 20 year olds into the ground. I’m honest, hard working and I’m not looking for a free ride. Most of what I bring to the table is my work ethic and moral standards.

My education and current career is in electronics but I also have experience in building including electrical, basic carpentry and even some plumbing. I’m ex-military with many years of experience in security both armed and unarmed. I also have a good knowledge of alternative and renewable power sources. My past certifications have included EMT-A, Lifeguard and Personal Trainer.

I was formally with a group in Michigan that turned overly militaristic. It’s critical to be prepared to defend yourself in fact I recommend being “loaded for bear” but all things need to be kept in perspective and in balance. You can understand why I might be a little cautious about joining the next group.

I’m currently looking for a group of like minded folks with high moral standards not necessarily of any particular religion but good people with good old school values.

Thank you,
Gregg

Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this. I am a DWM professional 52, currently living in Florida. I believe that there will be events within the next 1-7 years that will drastically change life as we know it, and I am looking for like minded individuals and/or families to share a vision of self sufficiency, safety, and the ability to sustain community. I have come to the realization that “ going it alone “ is not conducive to long-term survival. I also believe that Florida will likely be underwater, or at the very least not suitable for sustaining community within this time period ( polar shift, EMP, financial meltdown, etc. ) and I am looking at making the leap to a geographically sustainable area, likely either N. Ga, Tn., N.C. or possibly the Ozarks / N. Arkansas in order to begin this journey. I lost my job, my home, and my girlfriend earlier this year and it has been an awakening. But I still feel privileged to be an American Citizen who has the right and ability to seek a change for the better. I have decided that now is the time to work at finding the right community for the future.

What I am looking for: I am looking for either a location / existing community / individuals of like mind that seek 100% off the grid living. I am not a minimalist by any means, therefore existing or future plans for power generation ( preferably hydro, but also solar and wind )  is mandatory, as well as a clean water source, wood ( structures, fuel ), and the ability to harvest.

Although the possibility exists to start from scratch, I would it is preferable to find an existing structure / location / community that is relatively inexpensive. This would be ideal.

About me: Honest, dependable, EZ to get along with, law abiding, level headed. Not religious, but believe in the principals of the 10 commandments. Believe in the Constitution, Liberty, the Bill of Rights, and Freedom. I have disdain for the Gov’t, which has always been the center of our problems, rather than the center for solutions. I am neither a left-wing hippy nor a right wing militant- somewhere in between. I am looking for people with community skills sets, survival, carpentry, medical, etc. Honestly, since I basically grew up more or less a white collar individual, therefore my real life experience relevant to off grid skills is limited. However, I can provide:

  • At least one vehicle
  • Can share costs for building community / improvements
  • Firearms, Ammo, Survival Gear, Rations
  • The ability to learn, to help, and to grow with others

I have been prepping for around 6 months down here, and everyday learn more, although I don’t think you can ever learn it all, lol. Originally I was going to buy a lot at auction and a small RV and try to go it alone to go OTG. But this is not in my best long term interest, not to mention that it is a massive amount of work and expense for one individual. So looking for those like minded that either have a community plan in the works, have a community opening, or are individuals that are serious about getting one put together- I would like to hear from you. I plan on making this change within the next six months. Thanks again, I look forward to hearing from you-mrkinztampa [at] gmail [dot] com
