James Wesley Rawles (born 1960) is a non-fiction author, survivalist-fiction author, and blogger [http://www.survivalblog.com]. Rawles was born in Livermore, California. He was a United States Army Military Intelligence officer, serving for six years before resigning his commission. He later worked as an Associate Editor with Defense Electronics magazine, and as a technical writer. He is now a freelance writer, blogger and is the editor of SurvivalBlog. He is married and has three children.
An excellent read!
As an avid reader, who has all of JWR’s books I can attest to the fact that even though it is fiction, it is a real life list of what you must have to be comfortable in a WROL situation, being at the top is, the faith in God because if you have the faith and not the preps, you will still enter the kingdom of Heaven. I have read many of books on this subject and they have all been very informative, but this series has been the most helpful by far. The only exclusion was in the book “ashfall” where they talked of farming Kale due to the nature of it being a low light cold weather grower having more vitamin-c than citrus fruit preventing scurvey. As far as a “fictional” book goes, when you read these JWR books, have a notepad and a pen by your side because these are a true wealth of information. Understand that he has been around the block and is not just writing to make money but also so that intuative people have no excuses to not be prepaired during crunch time. It’s time for the have-nots to wake up and realize that the backs that carry them are only so strong but our fight is detrimental to our existance and we will not perservere in our fight to provide a prosperous life for our children. YOU HAVE NOTS CAN BE HAVERS ALSO, ALL YOU NEED IS TO BUCK THE MONKEY ON YOUR BACK, FOR WE ARE AMERICANS……..WE CAN DO ANYTHING!!!!
