Arkansas prepper Arkansas, Prepper Add comments Jan 252015 Looking for Christian preppers in NWA. Certainly need to survive but also prep to help. 7 Responses to “Arkansas prepper” JuniPearl says: March 15, 2015 at 5:31 pm Hello =) I’m a beginner, but I’m bound and determined to kick it into gear this year and prep, prep, prep! I’m in the NWA area and I am also looking for like-minded Christians to prep with. I’m still kind of hesitant to open up, just bc I’m very quiet about prepping. My family doesn’t quite see things the same way I do, but my husband and I are very aware of what’s going on in this world and are trying to prepare us and our kids for what lies ahead in the very near future. Having others in our corner will definitely help the process and will keep us motivated to pressing forward despite those who think we’re crazy! Hope to hear from you soon! At some point we must arrange for a meeting . We are in need of those skilled in many areas. We have property and many assets . What are your specialties and basic plans? There are 4 houses on this property, all family members, but I’m the only prepper. We’re all pitching in this year and doing a garden. However, they don’t know my true intentions with the produce I’m growing =) My family members are God fearing Christians and know our world is in chaos. However, they just aren’t preppers and have a different mindset (maybe denial??). My husband is a police officer and a black belt. He is an excellent hunter with a gun and a bow. He loves to fish and has a small john boat. He bought a survival handbook a few years ago and has learned how to make and set traps for small game and fish. My brother is also a police officer (he lives on this farm). Every house here on the farm has plenty of guns =) My dad is a handy man and can do ANYTHING (he also lives on this farm). He worked for the EMS many years ago but knows the basics in first aid. We have almost 100 head of cattle, some chickens, my brother is getting bees this week, we have 3 large barns, 3 ponds stocked with fish, lots tractors and vehicles, 3 four wheelers, woods, trails, streams, water well and will soon have a large garden. And that’s without mentioning all the other supplies like tools and other building supplies. Whew, LOTS of tools and gadgets. One barn has nothing BUT tools and supplies!!! I’m my papa’s obsession!!!! Let’s just say, when things go south, our farm is a good location with plenty of resources and people who can manage the farm and take care of our needs. Even though my family aren’t preppers, they will DEFINITELY be useful when things go south. My brother said he would start stocking up when he sees the end drawing near. But I’m not waiting that long. I don’t want my household to worry about food when the time comes. To be honest (one of the main reasons), I know the lives they all live and all 3 other households don’t have 2 minutes to spare for prepping. They all lead VERY VERY busy lives. I do not have a bug out plan. I don’t want to bug out unless we HAVE TO! We do not fear man. We want to stay and reach out to our community. Most preppers have a mindset of leaving and running. But we are the type that puts the salvation of others before our own needs. We want to win souls to Christ in those times and we can’t do that if we’re on the run and in hiding. We are not instructed to hide. “They that know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” Log in to Reply ArkPrep says: March 16, 2015 at 1:42 pm Sounds like you are in a pretty good situation. We too are blessed to live in our bug out home. If you are in the Madison Co. area we could be neighbors. If so there are many others like us. Could use some self defense trainers. I haven’t looked anywhere else yet. I sure do hope there are more out there. Everyone is very hush hush about this topic. My hubby is good at self defense and could probably teach some a few tips and tricks when it comes to weapons and hand to hand combat. It is hard to trust people these days and even Christians sometimes are not what they portray. I do not know how big groups in other places weed out the talkers from the doers. NWA is a good place to ride out the storm but there are so many variables depending upon the extent of the chaos. From Christian radio to secular sources, all seem to think that something big is close to happening. The Lord is in charge and we certainly feel His presence. Obviously you are listening to that inner voice so just keep on keeping on . Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
