44 year old male with similar age wife and three boys ages 10 to 15. Living in Fernley Nv, near Reno. I have a background in grocery/can inspection/warehousing. Ex-Navy, Eagle Scout, have experience with comp roofing, framing, some cold electrical installation, and some other light construction work. I'm a writer, though not well known, and a thinker. I can use most firearms and bows, and am good at helping others design their pantries. I can cook and clean, though like so many others, it's not my ideal desire. I don't fall asleep during watch-best at early night-and know my limitations. My wife brings less to the table, but she is okay at cooking, and is pretting good with organizing things. Trying to get her comfortable with firearms lately. My boys- I'm not sure about my oldest, maybe a laborer, my middle child is very passionate about digging, he thinks he will find treasures and says he wants to be an archeoligist. My youngest is wanting to grow a large garden, he has asburgers. Supplies? I can feed my family for a year or two, but have a water issue. We have to have electricity to pump it from the well in our preasent location, and though we are increasing our stock, which is only at two to three months, this is a worry for me. We have enough defensive ability to account for ourselves, but are looking to pick up a few more for wholeness. Looking for others in our area that can band together, either in our defensable position, or in another that is less visible and has extra room. Would be willing to relocate in time of crisis, with warning, but have semi-trailer and no truck to tow it to location. Contributing? I am preasently writing a survival info book and hope it will give people at least a few new ideas for the future. I have some tools for the work I've done, and I'm trying to increase them as I can. I have about 150 pounds of nails in three sizes (50 pounds each) and am working on other hardware for building. I have the beginings of a library, and have been picking up reference books in the past months. I'm a stategy gamer. I have nearly every Axis & Allies game ever released, and WWII micro-armor rules. I have some 1/285th gaming pieces for the mentioned rules, and continue to fill in gaps as I can. I have enough hygene supplies to last my family a good 6-9 months, and increase this monthly as well. We are not wealthy, and can only prep a bit each month, wife out of work and I have a limited income. Don't expect anyone to pay our way, just looking for combined effort with protection by numbers. I can design underground escapes, but don't have the equipment to make them. If anyone has the equipment, but needs someone to help with design, or what materials to use, I'm capable to lend that hand. I hope I have sufficiently covered all of our important info for those out there that may be interested. I have tried to be honest, without getting into detailed listings in some areas, that will come with trust, to those who really need to know that info.
