We are a family in FL. My husband works as an XRay and CT tech at our local hospital and I have homeschooled our children the last 9 yrs. We are in our 30's, have 6 kids total, 5 still live at home ages 17,6,4,and infant twins. Our 18 yo daughter moved out and has different pursuits currently. We have been interested in preparedness since 2008 and left FL to live in-community, learn skills, and better disciple our children in truth and self-sufficient living out west 2009-2011. We continue those efforts though we had to leave behind a great deal of our investments and had to nearly restart from scratch after integrity issues and our children's long-term well being became serious concerns. We became followers of Christ in 1998 and are very passionate for honoring God with our lives and discipling our children to know and choose His narrow path though we are all a work in progress, hopefully remaining teachable. J is very intelligent, a dedicated and hard working man who loves to read and enjoy his family yet also loves using his skills in carpentry, is a handy man of sorts, willing to do most anything, has an easy-going demeanor, kinda chill and never very pushy; prefers to serve "behind the scenes" (not needing recognition) but is a good team-leader if needed to be. We both enjoy being productive and love learning. His interests and abilities are very broad. We grow a garden together as a family, take camping trips on occasion, hunt and fish with our kids, and invest much time with friends and others who need transparent, God-honoring friendship and helps of all sorts. Investing in Spiritual growth both at home and in our local community is high priority. I have strong interest in community-living, helping ppl in need (be it praying for others needs, mentoring a teen or cleaning a single mama's home so she can take her kids to the park for quality time, most any service to just bless another) I know and use my giftings and really enjoy exhorting anyone who may need a boost of hope or help. Preparedness for the coming disastrous ordeals is important and taken seriously yet eternal perspective is far greater of concern.I spent several years off and on as a counselor and parenting- mentor/volunteer at our local pro-life ministry and served in different women and children's ministries in various churches and denominations the last 18 yrs. Both J and I highly regard teamwork, Godly character, and loving others well. We have a strong and very blessed marriage of 17 yrs. and hope to make wise decisions regarding how we can help the next generation. We aim to be good stewards of our resources, time, and health. We are interested in seeing options for potential retreat community with other sincere Believers and are considering relocation bc we know few ppl in FL making much progress with preparations. Feel free to contact us :)
