Wife and I have lived in Alaska since 1982 and lived in our current home on lower Hillside for 20 years. We have been “Prepping” for about 6 years but had no idea that’s what it was called or that others did it until we saw the TV show “Doomsday Preppers”. We are Christians, home schooled our son, who has gone on to graduate from Law School in May of 2012. We keep about a 2 year supply of food and are prepared for most disasters and protecting our home. Looking to meet like minded couples in the Anchorage area to share ideas.
Hi Everyone,
I am a lifelong Alaskan currently living in Anchorage. I am a married mother of one and have a full-time job. In my spare time I enjoy anything and everything to do with being self-reliant and making sure my family is prepared in case of an emergency. I am fairly new to prepping and would like to find other like-minded women, mothers in particular, to share and prep with. I work in medicine and have a family of preppers so I have lots of tools and knowledge at my disposal. I am interested in canning, hunting, fishing, processing game, weapons, cooking, baking, buying in bulk, food storage, crafting, knitting, crochet, sewing, composting, medical knowledge, alternative medicine, gardening, seeding, saving money and in particular doing everything I can to live self-reliantly.
I look forward to meeting other mothers who share my interests to be able to learn from and grow with!
i am looking for preppers in the ketchikan\ p.o.w area for ideas and possibly bulk buying
I would like to buy into a group to live in alaska…off the land. I have many technical skills, common sense, little money.
I am attempting to unite preppers in Southeast Alaska. If any are interested in networking respond and lets connect.
Those that want to get together and buy land, please contact me. I have lived here before and have a lot of skills….just short of money. My income is social insecurity.
I have experiences to include, gunsmithing, knife making, construction, basic survival skills, bow and arrow making, hypnotherapist, welder, machinist, and much more.
Hello everyone, my name is Kevin. I am new to the site and am here in hopes of expanding the size of my group. Right now, it pretty much just consists of one or two other people. I am trying to find people that are serious and committed to the prepper lifestyle. I would like to recruit people who have necessary skills such as, electrician, engineer, hunter, gardener, machinist, etc. If you are interested and believe you can be a productive member of the group, get back to me and I will tell you everything you want to know about myself and the plans I have so far. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

From the Minnesota (metro area).
Personal Philosophy (to make sure we are like-minded): I do not believe a world ending event is what we are preparing for. In my opinion, a world ending event is exactly that. One would need to be more lucky than prepared to only survive a short amount of time any how. In other words, I’d rather run to the comet and see one last hoorah. With that said, I think there is world-changing events every single day. Just not usually in your back yard. Much of Africa has been in an apocalyptic state for–well forever. If I were in Greece right now, I would be looking to not be in Greece right now. Power grids can fail and no one in America is prepared but a few. This should be one concern of ours. It would not be the end of the world but riots happen for lesser events. People get crazy for lesser things than not having food immediately available to them. But people also come together in times of great need always giving us hope in humanity. We should all want to help by being one of those leaders that is prepared so we can help those who were not. If you agree we would be on the same page. (Again, I am not motivated by surviving extinction level events or looking to start a militia here.) Our common goal will be to create a network of individuals that don’t need to be persuaded that it is possible America might not have the rich comforts we are all so accustom to. Self sufficiency is a key goal. We should be convinced that many people are starting to recognize that the need for self sufficiency is important and that our future as a country lies in our ability to be self-sufficient individuals, communities, states, and country. If you would like to open discussion via email please email me at aacres00 [at] hotmail [dot] com. Main areas of interest include: Northern and Central Wisconsin, Minnesota, Montana, Alaska, and South Carolina. These are places with potential refuge thus far.

Is there anyone in the Talkeetna area?
I was born and have lived in Alaska my whole life. Our family of three, has 75 acres w/house/garage/generator that I have for sale and I’m looking at buying another piece of property. If my place sells I want to start over ASAP. Not completely set on Talkeetna, but I’ve lived in the Mat-Su area for years. Also have lived in Fbx and worked all over the state. I’m hoping to find a place with good soils, and neighbors, clean air and water, great fat-tire biking, and lots of stars. So that does narrow it down some.
I have worked in every aspect of construction all over Alaska. I am into organic gardening with heirloom and certified organic seeds only, no GMO’s here. I plan on a large garden, greenhouse and hoophouses to extend the growing season. Useful everywhere in Alaska. Want to learn beekeeping and try to winter them over too. I would like to be close to other like-minded people to glean knowledge and share ideas as well as bartering/trading goods and services. (I’m not a big hunter so I’ll trade ya!) Since Alaska really doesn’t have an eco-village, yet. I do believe there are still active Granges in Alaska though.?.
Meeting People! Networking
I totaly agree with meeting people close to you, see what there doing and what not. But everyone believes what they want to believe. But people need to meet on this site from all over. Comment on peoples posts talk to each other. Because in this day and age with all the travel we do for fun and work, we never know where we will be when anything happens. So knowing more people like us only helps all of us in the long run. Thats my thoughts!!
I’m new to prepping and understand the importance of being prepared before disaster strikes, I am interested in getting to know other preppers. So if your interested in putting together a group or already have a group put together and are looking for others to join up I am interested. I am x military I was in the army, and I served as an Infantryman and have been deployed to Iraq, I bring a certain skill set to the table,I have been out of the Army for almost a year now, and I am interested in learning more about survival techniques and other skill set’s. So if you’re interested in what I have to say let me know, you can E-mail me at dennis [dot] warrenlee [at] yahoo [dot] com.
Hello everyone I’m looking for like minded people in Alaska. I have 40 acres in Anchor Point. I have unlimited water not part of a lake or stream. The property sits in an area that is totally safe from tsunamis. I also plan to harvest methane from the muskeg. This property has all the bases covered. I can sell 20 acres for $55K. This has one small cabin and another one that has the logs of the outside walls stacked. If you can’t afford to buy this property for yourself, maybe we can work something out. Lets talk. If you live in the area of Anchor Point and have your own property, lets talk. I know I can’t survive the up coming problems without a network. vernrobbins[@]gci [dot] net
Ranch in South Eastern Montana (high desert) is looking for a live-in Ranch Foreman. Your job is to watch over the place and tend to the livestock when I am gone. You will be on your own several months each year. The chores here will only take an hour or so each day that I am absent. You will need to count the cows ( one day a week every week ) and every day that I am gone it will range from a few to over 100. You will also need to deal with trespassers. The other days that I am here you don’t need to do anything. This is a trade or barter arrangement. You get a 10 acre lot to use for your own desires and for RV parking.
The property is off-grid there is no power.
There is no sewer or water hookups.
You need to have your own RV.
You need to be able to fend for yourself. There is no pay, so you will need to have your own form of income.
You do NOT need ranch experience.
This could be a very long term situation for the right person.
You will need to be a person of good morals. (I will check your background).
I am new to this site and just saying hello to all my fellow preparers. My wife and I live in Wasilla and we grew up in Soldotna; we have three wonderful children ages 20, 16, and 13. Girl, boy, boy. This is the first sight I found with any number of Alaskans on it, awesome. A little about me, I am 40 and an electrician, I have been happily married for almost twenty years now. We are Christians and hope to meet like minded Christians who don’t feel weird when we start to talk about surviving. I know everything happens for a reason but I also feel led to press on and not give up. I work up north on a two and two and have for sixteen years. We have family in Soldotna, Anchorage, Wasilla, and Fairbanks.
I have a 40 acre place in Anchor Point Alaska. We have one 16×20 cabin up insulating it today…yuck! A log cabin sided pole barn. Putting in poles for electric fenced fields next year, etc.
We have four heifers, nine hogs including one ready to drop and one with a litter and one due in January. One boar is going to the food bank Wednesday.
I have the opportunity to get a nice 12×20 cabin delivered to the property. I have an area cleared and the outhouse hole dug. You would have a view of Mt Illiamma. I am offering no charge to stay in cabin and a $300 a month food allowance to a single person or possibly a couple in order to help grow this place. I have the equipment I need to bring supplies in and neighbors with equipment to do earth work etc. I need someone with farming and/or construction experience who has cold weather experience.
The cabin is uninsulated but I will buy the insul you install. I have a brandnew wood stove. $700 one at Lowes with glass front. We are off the grid but I have an extra generator you could use.
Caveat is I need someone soon. Before the snow flies in a few weeks. You must be able bodied. Sorry but I can’t afford to hire someone to do the job I am trading this for you to do.
Be able to use a chainsaw, work hard, and be free of drugs and alchohol. No felonies. This is a long term position. We are building a retreat/homestead. It was bare land last year and by next year I want alot more done. If you share the dream but can’t afford to do it on your own here is your chance. There is a farmers market opening in town so if you are good at market gardening you should be able to make money next summer. I am open to all legal ways of making this place pay for itself.
Write to AnchorPointRetreat [at] Yahoo [dot] com
Tell us about yourself. You must be able to pass a police check and sign a contract stating the scope of what we each expect.
We are finally getting off the ground. Two couples 40′s and 50′s. We have 40 acres near Homer Alaska. We have one cabin built with one couple living there fulltime and one cabin and barn in the works now.
We are looking to add one special member. We can supply the materials for a 12×16 cabin shell. The trail and area is cleared and the hole to the outhouse dug. I am willing to buy groceries for the winter for the right person. Note: that does not mean pay your credit card bills. It will be next to impossible to find work except sporadically in this area in winter. I am willing to keep you fed while you get settled on the property and provide the material for a small cabin. You must build that cabin. We can help with the parts that take more than one person but we expect the same on help with our cabin building as well.
In exchange we need someone who is willing to help us build a working farm/retreat and is ready to go very soon. Someone has to always be on the property for security. We have materials and livestock that look tempting to others. It will only get worse.
You must be able to pass a background check. Not credit. We don’t want any criminals.
Must be legally able to possess firearms. Have your own, we do not provide them.
Ex-military preferred but not essential. If you were in the military must have honorable discharge. This can be a great place for a combat vet looking for quiet. Three of us are vets, one with considerable Ranger/SF experience.
Must have can-do work ethic. No “I deserve it attitudes need apply”. If a 50 year old can out work you this is not for you.
No drugs. That means pot, mushrooms, meth, etc. No exceptions. None, Nada.
Experience with cold weather. If you have never lived in a place where the average winter temperature is 28 degrees and can go to minus 20 this experiment is not the time to try.
We are off the grid. You can buy a generator or solar panel but woodstoves are the rule for heat and cooking unless you want to buy propane.
Have a skill we need. Construction, farming, small engine repair, security, etc.
If you are serious about prepping we are serious about you. Send a basic resume’ of what you have to offer us and if you have built anything before send some pics.
We can meet you in Indianapolis or NY in a few weeks if you are already not in Alaska but you must be able to be up here and ready to go by Sept 20th at the latest. At that you will only have about two weeks to get your cabin up.
We expect to be cutting firewood and digging fence posts, building as much as we can before the ground freezes. After the ground freezes we expect to be still cutting firewood, making supply runs to Anchorage, building sheds and animal housing as weather allows.
We are not any particular religion but believe in Judeo-Christian rules. They seem to work. We are not into overthrowing the government. We will not tolerate anything illegal that will jepordize what we are building.
Please read this closely. If you are still interested email us at:

Any one out there ? Palmer/Wasilla Alaska prepper, looking for fellow preppers, Currently good food supply, huge home in great
location for hunting fishing. Those of like minds that see that the fan is spinning, post comment. I am interested in thriving
not just surviving. Intersted in seeking individuals, families, to procure a plan. Race color and sex not important. What is
important is honesty and ability to put in days work. Love to hear your thoughts.
Hello everyone, I currently reside in central Georgia and I am seeking a group to team up with perhaps going off the grid. Been preparing for two years now and have been focusing on being able to have enough “gear/supplies/skills” to transition into a new way of life when the one we understand now is gone.
I have a belief in God and a strong conviction that what is coming will be at His will as we have been warned. I’m open to relocating to a new area/state given the correct circumstances.
I have a variety of skills from hunting, trapping and fishing to mechanical, electrical and construction including welding and fabricating. I am male 53 years of age, (no family or pets) in excellent health with no tobacco or drug use and I am CCW legal.
If you wish to explore options drop me a line here and we will see where it goes. I have put a lot of time and effort into my preparations and I am in this in a very serious way, if you are not please don’t waste my time or yours. Your security/privacy will be respected please do the same for me. Thank you.
Hello all, I’ve posted before but re-posting to become a little more detailed as to what i’m seeking. My name is John i’m 47, my wife is 40 and we have (1) son 7 and (1) newborn female. We currently reside in Wasilla, AK and should the right people approach us we remain open in relocating. We currently have 6 months of food and water and will have over a years worth per person before the end of the year, should time permit. At present time we are a (1) income family, i’m a stay at home father. Finances are not an issue as my wife of the medical profession and is certified Nation-wide. She also has past skills in the veterinary field. She’s also a nurturing huge hearted individual that easily connects/communicates and works extremely well with others. I have skills in the construction trade, tractor-trailer operator, inpatient alchohol/drug dependency councilor associate, hunting, fishing, archerer, canning, dehydrating, learning tracking/trapping, concealed carry permit, crop/garden skills, all aspects of primitive living conditions. We have no criminal histories, no family set backs, optimistic, open-minded, intent on surviving, honest, loyal, devout, sincere, dedicated, hard working. We don’t smoke/drink/use drugs. We are NOT religious and have found that it is hard to work with those that are, but willing and interested in those of all faiths that have the ability to refrain from domination, control and injury to self and others. We are a native family, our roots are in the southern lower 48. We choose to practise our traditions by listening to our hearts/ intuition, as this has always worked and keeps us out of trouble to move forward. We are seeking like-minded individualls. We are seeking those that can carry themselves well under stress and work well with others. We seek those that have been listening to their hearts and those that have been prepping in advance. We have no qualms with a retreat that is structered and already in daily practise, in fact this is and might be our best option as we are ready. We wish to survive, build a good future for our children and hope to hear from you!!!! Thanks for taking the time out to read this.
Hello all, It’s comforting to see that so many have chosen too listen and take head too the call !!! My family (4) and i have been preparing for some time now for the very worst, but continually remain optimistic. We are in great hopes to begin building bonds of trust with any or all those wishing for the same. We would like to make the necessary preparations with an established retreat but as with any fortress, once discovered peril soon follows, so we wish to communicate with those that have the understanding that to place property and material over life is unjustified and unacceptable. We full heartedly believe that there is the possibility that we might have to live in a primitive age as our Ancestors once did, so we are also preparing for that as well. After all, one cannot truly say that they are preparing for the worst if they are truly NOT preparing for the worst !!! We believe that everyone has a talent, a gift, a job and a purpose. No individual is greater than, or lesser than their fellow human being as we are all learning that which is unknown !!!! We must learn to trust each other, if devistation made it’s way here today, who then could you trust ??? We fully understand that time is short so we shall continue too gather, listen and strive towards the goal the very best we can, should time permit…… We all understand how hard it is when meeting and trusting new folk, so we’ll take it slow and easy ok..
In hopes for a great response, your ally and brother-Will to live………
I wish to communicate with other prepper friends in the P.N.W., especially from the reservations, spanish, asians, other ethnic groups, blacks, whites, Mormons, religious groups, Canadian preppers, etc…
Concerning comm between our area groups if/when disaster may strike, that’s all. ao.nwwa at hushmail dot com
My main interest presently is spanish Yakima and on the WA. Reservations right now, but am also interested in whomever calls themselves a prepper and wants to communicate with others for news in the scenarios to come…
Race don’t matter, but personal agendas might. Give it a try…just friendly chat! Please do not communicate with me in this forum, at least on this topic.
Just a bunch of us from different families, groups & tribes,
Semper Paratus, Whitehorse
