Hi there,

 

Looking to network, partner, prep, socialize with other preppers in the Greater Chicagoland area (up to five hour drive from Chicago Loop). Have some land and currently in the planning and designing stage of a large 130′x 30-50′ organic garden in the west suburbs. Have access to highest level of combat, anti-personnel, survival, defense, offense tactical training available through contacts in MARSOC. Just received my FIOD and will start training soon.

 

About Me:
Originally from Wheaton, currently living on Chicago’s NW side near Diversey exit. Christian, straight, married 36 y.o. male with 1.5 y.o. daughter. Just getting started with this whole concept and starting from scratch.

 

Why I Am Prepping:
This country is getting more and more screwed up. FDA approved poisoning of food by Monsanto, Obama grabbing guns and instituting Islam into our country and removing Christianity from schools and society, FEMA and DHS stealing our liberties one by one – this is all nuts. I’m a normal guy and don’t think the world will end at midnight but I do believe that there are “too many something’s wrong” going on not to at least make some sensible preparations just incase SHTF and the world becomes FUBAR overnight or over time. I am NOT anti-government. I am looking to meet balanced, practical people who are serious about making a long term commitment to this. Racist, radical, lazy, anti-religious, all talk individuals are not welcome to contact me. Old or young educated or not, rich or poor, black or white, I don’t care. Must be of high moral character and have no criminal background. Don’t have to be perfect but people of questionable integrity will not be welcome.

My name is Josh and I am new to the whole prepping scene. I have been doing my research and slowly building up a SHTF or BOB. I am looking for a group of preppers in the Peoria/Bloomington Area that are looking to set up a BOL or already have one. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! I have a lot of basic skill sets due to scouting and how active I still am in it. I just recently moved back to Union, ill after being all over. I have been prepped to be more mobile than most others since I would have to travel long distances to be with fam. Now that I am back, I am thinking of transitioning to be in a group state-of-mind. I was in the Army & am a mechanic. I do not like to discuss too much info over the net. I am a leader in a large group in Illinois called the IL Sons of Liberty. We are a Constitutional miliita group with hundreds of members and are very much preppers. Not sure what a Constitutional militia is? The IL Constitution, Article XII, Section 1 says, “The State militia consists of all able-bodied persons residing in the State except those exempted by law.” That’s you. I’m near Central Illinois, and I’m looking to join a group for a major SHTF situation. I would love to leave this horrible state, but unfortunately I am stuck in the area indefinitely for at least the next 5 years. In short, I’m not so sure our delicate society has that much time left, but I pray I am wrong.   I believe we are on the brink of a major financial collapse, and I want to have a group of people I can count on for when it happens to maintain a self-sustaining BOL where we can produce everything we need to survive. In the event of a major disaster, I would have to bug-out with my wife. She is also in her 20s. We are Christians, and serious about our faiths.

What can I offer? I’m a medical (M.D.) student, and that background will be very helpful to a small group or self-sustaining rural community in a post-SHTF world where there are no physicians available. I’m also extremely hard-working, and working hard now to develop as many other skills as I can to be useful, however, I imagine at this point and for the immediate future, my most valuable asset will be my medical background. I also have a firearm, and know how to use it for basic self-defense purposes.

I’m a total newbie when it comes to prepping. I’m trying to consume as much information and knowledge as I can, but I would like to start networking now with a group of serious people in my area, or even as far away as central/western Indiana. First with correspondence via e-mail, then after we get a little more comfortable, perhaps a meet-up. Due to my busy schedule, I do not want to waste my time with people who are not very serious about preparing.

I am not an anarchist or anti-government, and I will not do anything illegal nor be involved with people who do. I am talking very specifically about preparing for a society with no functional government, not battling the government itself.

I’m also looking to join a group, preferably not start one. The best situation would be a group with a BOL or with the resources to get one and start to build it up, which I would be willing to help with. I may be inexperienced, but I’m also a very private person, so I don’t discuss preps with others. Again, I’m only looking for serious people. Im interested and available to meet with like minded individuals. In college for environmental science, working full time, and an ex soldier with a diverse background. My knowledge of weapons/defense and the environmental knowledge I’m currently learning can be essential. I’m single without kids but I would need to be able to bring  my sister along in the event of a disaster. Hi there. My wife and I are looking for a good bug out location. The sooner the better. We have been prepping in a small town but know that the time is now to make a move. I am a Military Vietnam Veteran and am in excellent shape as a result of good physical occupations in my life. We have weapons and food storage. I was raised on a dairy farm and have farming experience as well as tactical military experience. I do over-all maintenance as well as carpentry. Other valuable experience to offer as well. We are conservative and vote but also mind our own business. We are located in Illinois and are open to the options of where we may bug out. We prefer somewhere with a good water source and a decent growing season. My wife and I are in total agreement that we need to not go it alone but be part of a trustworthy group of people with like minds. We have a 30 foot RV that we can stay in and would be willing to be a part of a working community. If you have an interest in us please contact us through this forum.
