Only been active Prepping for a while. Working on skills and knowledge. Would LOVE to have some like minded folks to talk to. This area is a death trap when TSHTF. All advice is welcomed. Question amassing too many supplies here. Skills make more sense at this point, at least in my mind. Then a bug out location, preferably before hand LOL. Working on gardening, food preservation, herbal medicine, 1st aide etc. Look forward to hearing from someone soon.

I am a member of Honey Badger Survivalist Unit, based in the central Louisiana area. We focus on survival training, first aid, CPR, weapon training, self defense, and prepping with an emphasis on practical application. Our group is a family unit, with men, women, and children all taking part. Some of our activities include bug outs, hiking, camping, and education classes. Currently we have about a dozen members, and would love to meet other like-minded people. If you are interested or wish to learn more about us, send me an email. Thanks!

We have what we refer to as a 24 hour to 48 hour stop off. We have a location in northeast florida were we will form up with one another. It is a well hidden location and off the beaten path. After we meet up there and redistribute supplies and other thing,s we will take more hidden paths and country roads to northern Alabama. There we will form up with more preppers. We will remain there until we have to bug out again if needed. However, I don’t believe that will an issue. We are all well trained and I believe we have thought out everything, from night watch to dig in locations to fortify ourselves. We have all been prepping before it became the “in” thing. For me, for example, my father would drop us off in a closed base on the weekends or more to survive on what we had in our pockets and on our backs. We don’t let many people know the extent of our preparations until we know they are reliable and trustworthy, just because we do train our children. Not just for when the shtf, but also for real life issues like kidnapping and ect. We are more like a close knit family, rather then a bunch of people stuck together like you see on doomsday preppers. We are not saving for any particular event, but more for any that comes our way. We help in knowledge. Every one has to carry there own weight, our reloaders reload, our medics heal, carpenters build, and school teachers teach. We all have very valuable skills, and like most people, some have to double up as others as most of us have a vast array of skills to bring forth so we can survive. We have thirty people in Florida, and close to triple that in Alabama. Our Alabama location is on top of three mountains that hold live stock, homes, a huge lake that is river fed. So even if someone dams the river, we will have enough water from the lake and springs to survive till the dam is taken care of. The three mountains surround a valley, so the children and the elders will be very well protected. We also have all walks of life. This must be expected, as we all pull our own share. We range from old to young, different back grounds and race, to different sexual preferences and religions. I myself don’t care the color of the skin or if they’re gay or straight or if they’re religious or not, as long as when the time comes, they will defend and push, and not retreat and stall. ( Yes, I know retreat to fight another day or fight from another direction).

We would like to know more about you, your views and ideals, ideas you may have for preparing, what you are looking for in a group, your preparations, your experience and training (if applicable), any special skills you may have that you believe would be an asset, etc. Please contact at Looking4kitten (at) ymail (dot) com

Hello fellow brothers, sister, countrymen and patriots!

A few months ago I posted a post regarding a meet and greet, where we could all get together, have a chance to get to know each other, meet new people, and network. I was surprised by the response. I propose another meeting.

Personally, I love hiking and camping. At camp grounds, the national parks, and hiking and camping areas, you meet all kinds of good people earth bound folks and veterans.  You’ll be surprised as to how many “like minded folks” as we call ourselves haha that you’ll come across at hiking parks and campgrounds. So anyway there’s a national park that falls in the center of Louisiana. Kisatchie National Park north of Alexandria, Louisiana. It’s a beautiful park, good trails for Louisiana anyway, and there’s a good size creek at the camp location.

I thought a camping trip would be a good idea, because we could have a coffee or lunch at some restaurant somewhere or we could just get straight to business. I think its safe to say the people on this site are good people, christian morales and values, and just want whats best for their families. And a camping trip would be good for the kids too. It wouldn’t hurt to get the kids out of the house and away from the xbox for once and finally out to nature. Sooo not if, but when, there really is a REAL bug out situation, it wouldn’t be so foreign to your family.

When-Me personally, I’m not free until the weekend of February 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. I’m in the navy reserve and have field exercises going on, so ill be busy the next few weeks. And I figured a whole month should be enough time for people to gather their things together and put together your bugout bags and gear and what not.

What-At this weekend camping trip/mock bugout exercise, we could finally meet one another, share ideas, teach each other new things, have trainings and lectures (I’m sure there’s plenty of well skilled well-trained military folks on here), yada, yada, yada… We all know the importance of prepping and everyone on here is trying to a network of some kind. Some people are beginners and have no clue what their doing. Some people just need to fine tune their gear. We’r all on hear for various reasons. So let’s do this people! Lets make it happen!

Where-The location and campground is at Kisatchie Bayou. Ok so take interstate highway 49, then head west on 119 (take a left if you’re heading north, right if you’re heading south), once on 119 follow the highway your going to pass a large field follow the road for about 2 or 3 miles, then you turn right on long leaf vista road/par road 830. Follow the road for a few miles and your going to see signs on the right side saying kisatchie bayou camp grounds. Take a left and stay on the dirt road the entire way ( the road goes on for about a mile or so). Go on google maps for more information.

If ya guys have any questions please feel free to shoot me any email at coreythedude1986 [at] gmail [dot] com . A few of ya guys emailed me in the past and I didn’t respond and for that I apologize. What can I say we get busy in our lives. Look forward to hearing from ya.

Thanks for listening and KEEP ON PREPPIN!;-)

I’m new to the site and I’m looking to meet some fellow like minded people who believe in all their rights! Not just the ones the government wants to give back to us. I started prepping seriously about 2 years ago, and yes i said prepping, because it is not a dirty word like the media wants to make it out to be.  I’m hoping to meet people not just to network with, but who I might find a like minded community with. The more of us, the stronger we are, the stronger we are the better off we are if Uncle Sam denies us our rights. And I don’t mean the B.S. ones like free healthcare. Remember the Nazis took the Jews because they first disarmed them then made them enemies of the state. The black slaves were uneducated, divided, and unarmed. They couldn’t rise up even though they out number the whites in the south.  Lets not be like them. If we stay together and stay strong we might not have to rise up to defend ourselves.  Even if nothing catastrophic happens it will be people like us that keeps Americas dream alive.

Good day folks,

I notice for the Louisiana area there are a lot of folks down here that are somewhat new to the whole emergency preparedness game.  I noticed a lot of families and like minded folks who desperately need to prepare for your families and babies, but just might not know how to go about it and how to be cost effective and what gear works.  So I purpose that we have a meeting somewhere in south Louisiana.  When I lived up in Midwest, I would meet up with people every month, then there was a convention annually.  At this meeting we could talk about the importance of emergncy preparedness, how to for beginners, possible retreat locations, and skills that could be of importance.  Lets leave this discussion open.  Lets choose a Saturday and at a public area such as a cafe or restaurant where we could have a coffee or something.  Please folks we all know the world is in a bottle neck, is going to hell, and that history repeats itself. Please respond to this post.

thanks and keep onnn preppin!

I totaly agree with meeting people close to you, see what there doing and what not. But everyone believes what they want to believe. But people need to meet on this site from all over. Comment on peoples posts talk to each other. Because in this day and age with all the travel we do for fun and work, we never know where we will be when anything happens. So knowing more people like us only helps all of us in the long run. Thats my thoughts!!

Seeking like-minded disaster preparedness type RVers for rural remote bug out location, approximately 200 miles from Dallas/Ft. Worth and 30 miles from the nearest small town.    We desire to privatize a small, 40 acre, 10 hook-up RV park with full-time occupants, or those who desire to store their RV, bug out and vacation ready, in a secure, on site managed location.  We offer 30 and 50 amp hook-ups with our own water well and septic.  We have a creek on property, and are surrounded by National Forests and several lakes, with wild game to include deer, rabbit, turkey, and hogs.  On pad site 8 x12 storage buildings are available, as well as the ability to customize your pad as you deem necessary.  Gardening plots and target practice available.  ATV friendly with trails on site for tenants.  If you are serious about having a remote bug-out disaster location ready for your family, you realize the ability to tow your RV in the event of a disaster which would involve a mass exodus from the city would be nearly impossible.  You desire to bring skills, assets and your own preparations into a trusted community of survivalist type individuals in preparation for a major economic, natural or made-made disaster. Serious inquiries only.  Please email for more information.

I’m a relative newbie to the prepping game. I’ve been prepping for almost two years now. I have stocked up on just about every type of tool, camping gear, medical supplies, outdoor cooking gear, organic seed bank, 6 months supply freeze dried  food, $300 worth of rechargeable batteries, and every book i could find off amazon about prepping, food harvesting, preserving, and storage, shelters, survival, etc… I’m really now just looking to get plugged into a group of likeminded Christian individuals that i could help in their preps. Please send me an email at guidk709$ at yahoo.com. Just take out the $ sign using that to prevent spam.

After discussing things with my wife, we have come to the conclusion that there is strength in numbers. We are looking for like minded persons with which to connect with and possibly formulate plans for any and all situations that may arise. Things like caravan to a BOL and possibly forming a decent sized group of families to “begin anew”. We aren’t “right wing gun nuts, religious fanatics or anti-establishment” types. Nor, do we choose to associate with such persons. We are the “Whatever you do behind your closed doors is your business as long as it doesn’t affect me or mine” type.

We are attempting to organize a group of sorts, people that have certain skill sets that are mutually beneficial for all involved, thus increasing EVERYONE’S chances of surviving whatever situation may unfold. We are in the Central West Florida region and are interested in, at first, communicating with people in the general proximity of our location. Please feel free to contact me through this site if interested. Even if you are not in our general are, we still would love to just communicate and trade ideas and such. Possibly build a network of persons that are prepared from all locations. I don’t believe it would hurt to have friendlies in multiple geographic locations..

Hello out there all my like minded prepper friends!!!

I just moved down here to Houma, Louisiana from the Missouri area and trying to establish a team and a secure compound retreat location.  My skills certified EMT, im a cop, and veteran.  I served with the navy seabees in Iraq with the marines and SF task forces.  As a seabee we are trained to build anything from the ground up, trained in all weapons, and are trained to depend ourselves in defensive positions.  My gear is good, that’s all you need to know.  Anyway, Im trying to find anyone who is also well preparred, like minded, and  good ol christians, who  might have a ranch in the Louisiana area and who might want to team up.  I live in Houma, which is about 25 miles for the gulf, which just kinda spooks me a little considering hurricanes and what not.  So if anyone is out there, sees this and would like a great addition to your team, family, or tribe.  My e-mail is coreythedude1986 [at] gmail [dot] com

thanks, stay safe and keep preppin!

Greetings:   New to site, joined today.   Presently in the process of reading all I can, began with Rawles books and buying more.   I am a bit overwhelmed as where to beging with the most effectiveness.    Will bug in as there is no meaningful retreat, yet.   Guns are good, ammo needs more  attention.  Beginning with paper goods and sanitary supplies.   Have small water treatment systems & non-hybred seeds.   Have BOB in vehicle.     Since I am new to the game, I am looking for guidance on the “List of Lists” and prioritizing purchasing.  Next planned purchases are 1 year of female sanitary products and 1 month of MRE’s, adding a month’s worth every 2 months.    For anyone wishing to offer guidance to a newbee, I offer my gratitude!   Bert
