Family of three looking to meet other preppers in our area. We’ve been prepping almost two years now. Both work in EMS, she’s a Paremedic, I’m an EMT-B. we’re both former army, both seen combat in multiple countries. We think God, family & community come first.
This is the first time we’ve tried reaching out to other preppers via a medium such as this (heard too many horror stories) but I’m confident there are good people out there.
If you’re interested, drop me an email. -lowcat

Are there any serious prepper’s in the South Shore area? A while ago I posted comments about looking for like-mined people in the Easton, Bridgewater, Taunton area who want to get together, chat, and maybe form a trusted community/network in the event of a catastrophic event. I got a few replies, and then they vanished. They didn’t get back after exchanging e-mails. That was probably a blessing in disguise, because as I see it they probably weren’t serious. We all talk a good game, but the proof is in the pudding. I hate to use a cliché, but it is what it is. Personally, I can’t  be waiting anytime.

I have been prepping seriously and aggressively for over three years. Prepping is an insurance policy for me and my family. “Better to have it and not need it than to need it, and not have it” Prepping is not my life, however I do take it very seriously. I work full-time, and have a young family to protect and provide for. I feel comfortable with the supplies and knowledge I have. But I’m not complacent. I realize we can’t do this alone. That is why I’ve been reaching out to people face to face to form a group.

Presently, we have a small group of preppers with specialized skills. Some have more supplies than others, but they are working on it. Our team consist of two law enforcement officers, a medical doctor/surgeon, a school teacher, carpenter, and a plumber. We also may have a dentist joining our group. We are looking for more skilled people.

We are in the beginning stages of getting organized. We are behind the eight ball so we are eager to get organized and get things in place. We are looking for other skilled prepper’s from the surrounding area. We all can’t be cop’s and doctor’s. We need a variety of other skilled people in our group. Even if you don’t have a “speciality” per se, if you are a serious prepper with supplies, consider yourself a hard worker, can think quickly on your feet, can adapt and adjust, let’s talk. Having a specialty is not a requirement, but it’s a plus for the group. You can’t just show up with a pocket full of bullets, a can of beans, and good intentions.  If you are serious let’s talk. Be safe and be prepared.

Hello everyone,

My name is Joe, I’m new to prepping and would really appreciate any tips or advice as far as storing and collecting food and water and just basically surviving any kind of “doomsday” scenario. My biggest fear are either an economic collapse or an E.M.P. whether caused by a nuclear blast  or a solar flare. I know a faraday cage is a necessity for any electronics that I would need after an E.M.P. I wanted to what the best type of radios where to use as far as contacting other survivors and also being able to listen to any news stations if possible.

I have 50 acres of isolated land in central ME, just south of Moosehead Lake. I am 21 and will be graduating college with a degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering in May. I have no money (yet) but unbelievable determination to create a fully self-sufficient off-grid paradise on my land. I have been thinking about lending land to serious preppers, allowing them to pursue their dreams without paying for the land. The only thing I ask is to fully welcome my family and I during a time of crisis, essentially creating a bug-out location for my family while pursuing your own plans. As soon as I have the money to do so I plan on moving there and investing the time and money into stockpiling and homesteading, but I am afraid that I may not have enough time before shit hits the fan. Please email me if you are interested and we can discuss details further.

I live in taunton mass, single parent 2 teenagers, enough food about 1yr also lrge garden, plus chickens etc. looking mostly to band together w others if society did collapse [hopefully it never will] but if it does i dont think anyone alone would ever be able to defend whatever little they had. i believe everyone after a certain length of time would once again be in the same sinking boat. so i think the key to survival would be in gardening, producing food, preserving and surviving w your brain. if anyone out there in the taunton area would like to talk ,i would be willing to listen and possibly work on some sort of plan. i do feel as if i would be an asset to any group

Hey how you doing fellow preppers out there  I’m .was just wondering the cost of any land out there in NH,VT,ME,MA, CTor NY all in higher elevations, at least 500 feet or more above sea level on an acre or two of land .. It just came to me to look up online for others like me . Ive tried talking with people I know and no “dice” , Some people are just stuck in that Neanderthal stat of mind.. O.. Well……. Im a great asset to any group or camps of preppers with skills and supplies . Iv been getting ready for a year 1/2 now I have everything I need to survive a full year or more without leaving the house.. I have seeds of all kinds to plant, 55 gal drums of gas, propane, kerosine , generators, heaters… Water, water filters, weapons,, plenty of weapons and great amounts of ammunition.. Willing to help who ever with building a good location but don’t want to pay $$ to much for land when I could use that money $$ towards more supplies and shelter . . I would be able to put some serious time into working on a location I come alone not married or kids.. not yet anyway;; . I prep to be safe and ready!!! for what ever comes our way these day time are changing really fast and if you don’t see that then your a fool, I’ve tried to cover all the bases as far as what could happen and where but I still have a lot to learn (I just purchased a few books on hunting, trapping, plating, defense ect,ect.. But already know a bit on everything .. This is when others and other groups come in hand… I’m fit, have my own business 24 years now.. im really good with my hands and can build anything and fix anything figure out situations of all sorts, Well I’ve said enough,, I think we should talk and maybe meet so we can get a better sense of one another .. Need that trust!!! jmskimcoat [at] aol [dot] com.. Hope to hear back from you … Prep On!!!!

Hi,

I am new to this site and prepping but, have read a lot and started to prep. ; stores of food, water , bug-out bags, etc. I am looking to meet like-minded folks in Western, MA to form a group or to join a group. I know we need a network of folks to survive catastrophic events. I have had  a go at this already, I am a “Hurricane Katrina” survivor. I lived in MS for a short time, knew few people because I am a native New Englander. Our small group built a coalition of strangers and we all survived. My group today consists of six; my son and his family and my partner and me. What can we bring to the table: we are “Katrina Survivors”, we have a doctor, a very handy man who is strong and innovative, an indoor gardener, a planner and prepper. None of us can have all that we need if we go it alone but, together we can help each other in times of great need. If you think we have some skills that could fill a hole in your survival plans, I would sure like to hear from you. Thanks.

Hello everyone,

My name is Rob, I live in Taunton. I am glad I found this site. Me and my Wife recently decided that we wanted to prepp for an uncertain future. Being from New York now living here, The thought of being back there after what recently happened with Sandy was enough for me to decide to get ready. Be it Incliment weather, disaster, Financial collapse, or Lights out due to EMP or Solar Flares, I dont want to sit and wait anymore.

My primary motivation for doing this is because of my kids. I have a one year old daughter and a Son on the way. I did not bring them in this world to die, and want to do everything I can to give them a chance. Fact of the matter is, after all the research I have done, am doing. Also knowing what to expect when Crap hits the fan, It is best if I begin to reach out to other people who share my goals and want to band together for the greater good of Survival and Freedom. Its unfortunate, but I don’t think my family (parents and siblings) take this seriously enough.

I work a full time job, I am college educated Bachelors in Gaming and Simulation as well as a Masters in Business and Project management. If there are people out there, who wan’t to get together and prepare as a survival group and family and who take this seriously and are trust worthy, I would like to have a meeting of the minds and get started. To let you know a little bit about me.

I am person who keeps an open mind. While I research and study controversies like HAARP, NWO, EMP, and 2012, I dont get drowned enough in it where it consumes my life. I believe these things are possible and could exist, and have seen enough things and done enough research to see that it is more likely then not. However, like anyone else, I have no conclusive evidence. I don’t vote, I dont trust the government, and I firmly believe that it doesn’t matter how much they shuffle a politician in office every four years, the results are never improved and in most cases get worse. I don’t expect anyone to believe what I do, and will not push my beliefs on anyone. I just want to get a team together to help survive any potential dire situations. My skill sets are Computers and electronics. My wife is knowledgeable in basic medical aide. I am also excellent at trolling the internet for information and at haggling for cheap prices as well as finding excellent deals. The internet talent may not be suitable for survival, but it is more then suitable for preperation. With that said, I hope to get some responses and meet some good people to build a bond and a team with and prepare for an uncertain future, and so you know how serious I am, me and my wife are taking our firearms certification class a week from this saturday which will enable us to train and get our firearms license. Talk to you all soon…

Sincerely,

Robert

Hello like minded people. I live in the Bridgewater, MA. area. I’m looking for people I can trust and team up with in a SHTF situation. For the pass two years I’ve tried explaining to my closest neighbors that they should have a plan and have supplies “Just in case if something bad happens”!! Well, they roll their eyes, and you know the rest of the story. I am not waiting for them anymore. I have supplies for my family, wife, daughter and son. In a SHTF situation I know I can’t do it alone. Can anyone talk with me, and give me advise. Thanks, Ray441

I am close to 50, male, and have thus far not been a prepper or survivalist. Currently, I am alone and live in the Boston area and want to move to a less densely populated area.

When the SHTF and there is civil unrest (because of food shortages, the unavailability of EBT cards, looting, flash mobs, etc.), being in a densely populated area will be undesirable, to say the least.

Various survivalist/prepper groups or compounds that are being formed are not particularly interesting to me, just moving to a less densely populated area is what I want to do. Right now, I can’t afford a big move and also don’t want to move alone.

I’ve been looking at specific states, the current shorter list is New Hampshire, Kentucky and North Carolina (and maybe Tennessee).

Before recently, I wasn’t considering New Hampshire because of the extreme cold weather, and concern about extended power outages if the SHTF and collapse occurs. But some people have said there are many trees in NH to use for wood stoves, etc (and a lack of environmentalists preventing you from doing that, like in Massachusetts!). Also, one benefit during power outage in cold weather is storing food outside (in the snow, if necessary).

And I am no longer considering Virginia because there is too much US gov throughout Virginia including underground, and just too close to DC for my tastes.

I don’t smoke, drink or do drugs, and I believe in non-aggression as a guiding principle, as well as private property and voluntary exchange, and localism and decentralization. I work from my home computer, and I have basic “domestic” skills (like housecleaning), but have very little camping or outdoors experience.
