My fiance and I are moving to Montana around the end of the month. We will be in the Upper Missouri Breaks south of Chinook,MT. I am a former Force Recon Marine (39 yrs old). My fiance is a former police officer (43yrs old). We will be building a small off grid cabin and possibly starting a prepper community/group. For the past several years I have worked in the agriculture field. We are experienced in several different areas including weapons/tactics and gardening and several in between. If you are interested in getting together, I would like to hear from you.. We are dropping EVERYTHING here in Florida and headed to Montana. The way things are going and from what my friends and family in the government is telling me. It time to get out of town… Send me an email at prepconsultant [at] yahoo [dot] com if you want to chat..

Hello every one.

I  will be moving to North West Montana in August. I have been in the military for since 2010 and will be making a fresh start in Montana. I am trying to meet a group around Eureka and Great Falls  area. I don’t know any one up there other than a hand full of family members, I would like to meet people that are liked  minded  and hopefully make some friends. I have combat arms experience, with some medical field experience also and I have a little bit of armor training so I can make some small repairs on small arms “M4, light machine guns” I believe in the second amendment, life member of the NRA, would like to find a nice church to start going to when I get out. I am a young and mature man and I am quick learner. I know how to handle myself in stressful situations.

If you would be interested in me to  join a group or a church I would like  it very much.

My husband, 62 and I, 53 live in Missouri. He is retiring in 4 years and we are planning to buy some land in the Western to North Western part of Montana. We have talked about prepping alot, but just recently started to store stuff. I am looking forward to meeting Montana people to get ideas from about gardening, weather and fishing and hunting. Any advice on good locations to look for land would be greatly appreciate. Also, we would be opposed to buying land that is near to someone else, for neighbors and to help each other if necessary, like hunting for winter food and such or to help get wood stocks filled up, that sorta stuff. Well, I am looking forward to any responses. Happy prepping. Sunnie

Looking for like minded preppers around the Columbus / Joliet area in Montana.  See the need to start a loose organization.  I’m a US Army retiree.  Live in my BOL, but have a backup.  Gonna try and start my survival garden this spring, (Looks like we might need it).    Can be contacted at olesoldier2 [at] gmail [dot] com, or drink coffee about 0700 hrs at the 312 cafe in Joliet, Mt.  I am NOT a radical or extremist in any sense, and my wife is the mean one!  Just believe in my God and Country.  If it was up to me James Wesley Rawles would be running the country…

Christian couple seeking fellowship with other believers who:  are awake to and separated from the apostasy in the organized church in America; understand the inevitability of further wars, rumors of war and the complete dictatorial takeover of and loss of all remaining liberties in America; don’t worship the Constitution or fall for the lie of this country being formed as a Christian nation; know that the Bible never promises believers will escape the Tribulation and that the pre-Trib rapture theory is a lie of Satan to make the modern church complacent; believe the Bible cover to cover and love and worship the God declared within its pages.   We believe that preparation is described as “prudent” in the Bible but know there’s no escaping the judgment (and wrath) of God without the covering of the blood of Jesus.  If you believe these same things, we would like to chat with you, hoping for Bible-centered God-honoring fellowship.  Please email die2self247 (at) gmail.com.  If you disagree, please do not comment or reply.  We understand that the vast majority who read this will not agree, so please save your time and breathe in arguing.  God have mercy on us all in these times!

Stoney here, outside of Stevensville.  47M disabled vet, single, kids at home.  Military experience & outback experience.  Just getting seriously started with “official” prepping, but been working with the skills needed for most of my life.  When the SHTF, I plan on bugging out over the ridgeline E or W of here (if the kids are gone by then).  Would like to meet others in the area to share & learn with and perhaps make some mutual survival alliances.  stoney_lives [at] gmx [dot] com

Hi, We’re in Musselshell CO, MT,  just bought a piece of property to start our safe haven. We picked this property as the previous owner had already made significant changes to the property- had already started to set it up as a safe haven. Wondering if  Musselshell county area is good though? Don’t know much about the populace here.

We have lots of trees, mountains, rims, pasture area, safety from wind.  No river access though…… but well water should be sufficient with a hand pump system (if it comes to that). We’re not too far from Billings, but far enough away.

We’re thinking of building a better underground safe area with the shipping containers and then adding a newer (no-frills) main home on top of that…. so looking for anyone who knows how to do that. Also looking for other preppers in our area.

We are Christians – and I don’t throw that Word out there lightly. We stand on  the Good Word from Genesis to maps….. nothing added in between….. specifically speaking – steering away from organized religion and that which compromises the Word of God.

Quite a few years ago the Lord impressed upon me to begin seeking a safe place to go as the US faces uncertain times. As Christians we’re supposed to look at the seasons and the times and know that the hour is soon at hand.. and be prepared. Though we are Pre-trib believers I still believe we’re going to see some crappy things going down here in the US. The Lord keeps impressing upon me to get prepared for a short season and then to make this safe haven a place for those left behind after we’re gone. For those Christians who believe time is short and wanting to minister to those not ready, what better way to minister even after we are gone than to make a place for others to go to. The plan is to keep lots of bibles on the property and anything that can minister when we are gone so that those who find this place will realize the Lord is still in control and has a plan for each one of us…. even in the midst of tribulation. :-)

From the Minnesota (metro area).

Personal Philosophy (to make sure we are like-minded): I do not believe a world ending event is what we are preparing for.  In my opinion, a world ending event is exactly that. One would need to be more lucky than prepared to only survive a short amount of time any how. In other words, I’d rather run to the comet and see one last hoorah. With that said, I think there is world-changing events every single day. Just not usually in your back yard. Much of Africa has been in an apocalyptic state for–well forever. If I were in Greece right now, I would be looking to not be in Greece right now. Power grids can fail and no one in America is prepared but a few. This should be one concern of ours. It would not be the end of the world but riots happen for lesser events. People get crazy for lesser things than not having food immediately available to them. But people also come together in times of great need always giving us hope in humanity. We should all want to help by being one of those leaders that is prepared so we can help those who were not.  If you agree we would be on the same page. (Again, I am not motivated by surviving extinction level events or looking to start a militia here.) Our common goal will be to create a network of individuals that don’t need to be persuaded that it is possible America might not have the rich comforts we are all so accustom to. Self sufficiency is a key goal. We should be convinced that many people are starting to recognize that the need for self sufficiency is important and that our future as a country lies in our ability to be self-sufficient individuals, communities, states, and country. If you would like to open discussion via email please email me at aacres00 [at] hotmail [dot] com. Main areas of interest include: Northern and Central Wisconsin, Minnesota, Montana, Alaska, and South Carolina. These are places with potential refuge thus far.

Hi folks,

I’m a single male engineer, 32. I am agnostic and libertarian, but personally identify with Christian morals. My retreat is currently my 30-acre farm in the Willamette Valley.

I’m interested in joining another group at a more remote, defensible retreat in Eastern Oregon, Idaho or Montana.  This would become my primary retreat, or a backup depending on distance.

My goal is preparing for an economic crash and “killer caravan” scenario. I feel this scenario would be difficult to resist without a large group and hardened retreat, which my farm does not provide very well.

I grew up in Oregon on a farm and am acquainted with carpentry, gardening, ham radio, and firearms, but not an expert. I’m willing to invest to improve my skills in an area the group would need.

My brother is an MD and my mother is a retired nurse. They may gradually come to see the need to prepare. I hope for them to join up someday but can’t speak for their plans at this point.

My preps so far have included: LASIK, obtaining 10k rounds ammo, 2 carbines, 1 MBR, 5k ft barbed/razor wire, 2 years Mountain House food, 3 antibiotic kits, and photovoltaic panels.

Looking for a group whose members are well-educated, polite and cultivated, like the fellow country folks I grew up with. Regarding leadership, I’d prefer a group with strong central authority and ability to make firm decisions.

If you have openings or just want to hang out and discuss, please contact me. I can meet near Portland, Corvallis, or Salem and visit the Bend area monthly. Also planning  a trip to Idaho this summer.

Email: portland.acoustics at gmail dot com.

Thanks!

currently in pierce county in Washington. looking for extra bug out location in Idaho, Oregon or Montana.

have many skills including, hunting, fishing, canning, gardening, building, sewing, weaponry, tactical, meat cutting, food storage, some medical and so much knowledge stored over the years I don’t know where to begin. not to mention physical labor is like breathing to us.

have been prepping for a little over 12 years. unfortunately, my grown children (3….and they live in Seattle) do not feel as “dreadfully skeptical” about the upcoming events as my husband or myself. the plan was to hunker down here. I think it will just end up being my husband, my step daughter and myself. we are looking for a small group somewhere in “Egypt” (ha-ha) where we can pool resources.

my husband is christian, 45 and I am agnostic, 43, daughter 17.

to be honest, i am not even sure what I will do if there are any responses to this post. how do you build a relationship on such a short notice for something as important as this? this is something I should have had lined up years ago……so the trust factor would not even be an issue. I guess I will just have to see how it goes. we are very private and self reliant people…I guess that may have been our downfall in our planning.

I’m a young 22 year old vet, I’ve been prepping for 3 years. I had a group of close friends but when i got out, I moved to Montana, now I’m trying to find like minded people who wouldn’t mind having some one with my skill sets and/or gear.  If you would like to know more or have questions please feel free to message me.

I’ve spent most of the evening searching for people in our area but there doesn’t seem to be very many.  We’re located in the Rexford/Eureka area and would like to meet some like minded people who might be interested in the same.   Most people would consider use a normal but definitely lending to the right.  Politically we think the country is headed in the wrong direction and if things don’t change drastically we could be in for hard times.  In some ways we’ve always have been survivalist and believed in being prepared; hoping for the best but being ready for the worst.  One of the key parts of this is having friends and allies.  So we would be interested in meeting and getting to know other people in our area.

Greetings Fellow Preppers,

I am writing this today as a brief introduction, and to express my interest in joining others of similar mindset. First off, I have been a prepper for 20 years, and though I am well prepped here I also would like to relocate in the very near future. Currently I live in the Northern NM, and am a professional engineer with extensive skills in many different areas that will be very useful. Without going into the details now, I bring a very mellow, realistic attitude, and am genuine and honest. On a personal note..I am in my mid-40′s, single/divorced, no kids, no living family locally and am at a point in life where I can choose to do or go anywhere I wish. That said, ideally I would like to join and contribute to an already established group but would also consider joining together with a group of people in the process of establishing such a retreat. Sorry I wanted to make this short without going into specific details, but I welcome hearing from anyone, and will discuss more details via personal message.

Hello from the Helena Montana area. If you are just starting prepping …..read the forum and buy the books. If you have already got beans bullets and bandaids or have a ton of money to spend PM me and we can talk. Subject is living in a safer area with a available off the grid cabin behind locked gates. No wishfull thinking/hoping ……this message goes out to folks who are aware and are calmly prepping for difficult times that could happen this week or five years from now.
