Hello to all and thanks for letting me join.

I am one member of a small group looking to share ideas with other preppers and maybe even add to our group. I have been preparing for several years now. I live North of Peterborough  unfortunately we have not come across very many like minded people. I am posting in the hopes of beginning a prepping network, potentially leading to a larger group. We are stronger together … we have some very strong skill sets already ranging from farming, survival, tracking and hunting, self defense, group defense, engineering, ex military, and (some medical) pharmacology, we are continuously looking at expanding our abilities.

I would like to meet people in the area to share ideas and information on the how-to’s of prepping and self-reliance. Please feel free to respond. I would love to talk, potentially meeting with the right people down the road.

Not sure if we are allow to share a site if not please disregard this next bit but a very informative site is www.pakalertpress.com shares the information the main stream news will not talk about

Hope to talk soon

Hello to all.

I am a single father raising my young son by myself. I have been preparing for several years now. I live in Guelph and unfortunately have not come across very many like minded people. I am posting in the hopes of beginning a prepping network, potentially leading to a group.

I am fairly adept at survival, tracking and hunting, self and group defense, and I am continuously expanding my abilities in food storage, medicines and more.

I would like to meet people in the area to share ideas and information. Not of the personal sense but in regards to the how-to’s of prepping and self-reliance. The only stupid question being the one not asked right?

Please feel free to respond. I would love to talk, potentially meet with the right peoples down the road. And with times as they are I am concerned time may be getting short.

Also, if there is anyone in the medical field supportive of the prepper movement I would dearly appreciate the contact. I am greatly concerned with obtaining greater knowledge medically and aid with obtaining antibiotics for myself and my son.

I wish all of you the best. May we weather the oncoming storm and thrive.

Sincerely, one concerned dad.

I have opened my eyes to the world happenings. I/we feel a need to prepare more than ever before. I am 47 yrs old with previous military service. I have worked in many fields over the years. Construction, Sales, heavy equipment, partsetc…

I also have a brother and a nephew and families helping with our needs for a shtf scenario. Our biggest concern or area of lacking at the moment is a bug out location and security. I am currently working on food/water storage, clothing heat, light, medical.

I am interested in hearing any ideas as to a good bug out location as we are living in Brampton and Cambridge.

Also, anyone with a medical contact who is sympathetic towards the prepper ideal.

I am also interested in things other preppers have done in my region to prepare for a shtf happening.

Please leave your contact information so I can get in touch.

I have recently purchased a couple of acres in rural Manitoulin Island with a small house and a couple of out-buildings in not so great shape. I am anxious to communicate with others in the area who are preparing to become self-sufficient, and am particularly interested in permaculture farming.

I welcome others in the Whatcom County (and southwestern BC) area to come and check out what we are forming in order to respond to various natural or man-made emergencies.  I started this group for the Whatcom County (WA) area, though area BC residents are also welcome!  This group is about honest concern for potential events that might endanger the well-being of your family and other loved ones, and formulating some backup plans in case other municipal, State or Federal options are not accessible.  Yes, political concerns are worthy and respected, but we are NOT about political flame-wars, paranoia, conspiracy theorizing, anti-government sentiments, illegal activity, or militia building.  I want us to concentrate on the primary goal: taking care of our families.  It is an honest share of skills and information.

Founder of Whatcom County Preppers:   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WhatcomCountyPreppers/

We are still newly gathering members and have not yet met in-person, though that is a definite desire of mine.  I am also organizing a local neighborhood support response group through the Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) Program.  The program guidelines are offered statewide through the Whatcom County Emergency Management office, as well as Washington State Emergency Management. The purpose of the program is to get neighbors together, so they can help each other in times of disaster.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have!

Sincerely,
Richard M.

I totaly agree with meeting people close to you, see what there doing and what not. But everyone believes what they want to believe. But people need to meet on this site from all over. Comment on peoples posts talk to each other. Because in this day and age with all the travel we do for fun and work, we never know where we will be when anything happens. So knowing more people like us only helps all of us in the long run. Thats my thoughts!!

I have been interested in self-sustainable living/prepping for a while, but I have not done anything yet. I am 50, single, no family and have only moderate income, so I am looking for a community of like minded individuals to build a self-sifficient life style. Either in the city or in a rural area. There must be others in my situation and while I might not be able to do too much on my own, with a group of people more possibilities open.

I’ve been prepping for the past several years and would like to join or establish a prepping support group in my area. I reside in Kitchener, Ontario area and also own some vacant land in northern ontario in the New Liskeard area.
I would like to network and get involved with people who are serious about prepping, if you have not been prepping for some time and spent the time/energy/money towards it then we probably are not a good connection. Unless you are ready to immediately get off the fence, then by all mean please contact me.
I have seen some other canadian postings on this site but they all look at least a year old so please contact me if you have posted before and had/had not any success with establishing or are still looking to establish a group.
Some of my skills include; basic machinery and woodworking, various martial arts, defensive firearms, trapping (limited) and fishing.

Ranch in South Eastern Montana (high desert) is looking for a live-in Ranch Foreman. Your job is to watch over the place and tend to the livestock when I am gone. You will be on your own several months each year. The chores here will only take an hour or so each day that I am absent. You will need to count the cows ( one day a week every week ) and every day that I am gone it will range from a few to over 100. You will also need to deal with trespassers. The other days that I am here you don’t need to do anything. This is a trade or barter arrangement. You get a 10 acre lot to use for your own desires and for RV parking.

The property is off-grid there is no power.

There is no sewer or water hookups.

You need to have your own RV.

You need to be able to fend for yourself. There is no pay, so you will need to have your own form of income.

You do NOT need ranch experience.

This could be a very long term situation for the right person.

You will need to be a person of good morals. (I will check your background).

Hi, I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and would like to hear from others in this area.  I am just beginning my journey but have a few skills.  I am a nurse and am eager to learn more medical skills that would be useful.  Would love to know where people up here buy supplies.  So many great web sites are American and I know Duty and customs would make ordering unreasonable.  I am starting with the easy and practical.  We also have many special needs as far as diet go so that also complicates things – but it means we are great bakers!  I have a family with two children and would be interested in hearing tips for getting ready with kids as well.  Look forward to making contact!

I wish to communicate with other prepper friends  in the P.N.W., especially from the reservations, spanish, asians, other ethnic groups, blacks, whites, Mormons, religious groups, Canadian preppers, etc…

Concerning comm between our area groups if/when disaster may strike, that’s all.    ao.nwwa at hushmail dot com

My main interest presently is spanish Yakima and on the WA. Reservations right now, but am also interested in whomever calls themselves a prepper and wants to communicate with others for news in the scenarios to come…

Race don’t matter, but personal agendas might.  Give it a try…just friendly chat!  Please do not communicate with me in this forum, at least on this topic.

Just a bunch of us from different families, groups & tribes,

We are a Christian family of nine (soon to be ten) living in Alberta, Canada, looking for like-minded preppers to form a group, or join a group.  We would love to know if there are other Christian, family-oriented preppers in Alberta.

I am a Certified Journeyman Carpenter (I am very able to build a home/log home from foundation to rooftop) with enough high quality tools to easily furnish a small Cabinetry shop (currently in storage, with the exception of basic hand and power tools which I have with us).  I have a very strong desire to have a godly, knowledgeable family of hard-working children. Family is extremely important to us, and we are most interested (though not exclusively) in meeting like-minded families.

Christ and Scripture are our greatest loves.  We are passionate in our belief in the all-sufficiency of Scripture to answer all questions pertaining to life and faith.  Above all else, this is our greatest conviction.  While we do prefer the Geneva or the authorized KJV Bible translations, we are not dogmatic about exclusivity of the use of these translations.

I have a slowly growing knowledge of older, carburated vehicles (self-taught and still learning). We have (up until our move into our “mobile homestead”) raisied meat rabbits and milking goats.  We do not own property.  We currently live in our 35 foot “Sojourner” RV trailer, making us very mobile.  We own two older carburated 4×4 vehicles.  One is a Suburban, one a heavy duty crew-cab pick-up truck, and both with lift kits and large off-road tires.

We are debt-free.  We feel strongly that maintaining a debt-free lifestyle is very important, and is first and foremost in our ideology for maintaining true freedom. We home school our children, and are passionate about ensuring our children excel academically, and receive a higher than average education.

Mrs. Carpenter is skilled and knowledgable in food storage,  making wine, canning, gardening, an astoundingly fantastic cook/baker, soap-making, wilderness survival and first-aid, and becoming skilled at knitting, etc.

Our children are aged 10 and younger, very mature for their ages and well-behaved and reverent.  The children are all (quite joyfully so) being taught on a regular basis to work, the two oldest girls are avid knitters, readers, bakers, and, as with all the children old enough to understand, avid learners.

We have been blessed to be able to store up much preps, and have learned how to maximize the use of our goods.  I am an avid outdoorsman–I am a hunter, shooter, quite knowledgable in wilderness survival, and teaching my children the same.  I and the Mrs. and our oldest daughter have recently learned how to naturally tan animal hides as well.  My wife and I are  always on the same page–she’s my best friend–and we share a common interest in everything including prepping/survival.

We are looking for a group to join/ or to form a group either nearby, or to be with the right people, we may relocate to be closer–(especially now that we are very mobile, living in our “Sojourner” RV trailer).  We are excited to meet others of a like mind to share and exchange ideas, knowledge, to perhaps meet with on a regular basis, and if the right situation arises, to share preps if needed.

If there are other, like-minded individuals, families or a group in Alberta, we’d love to get to know you!  Please email us at: homesickcarpenter [at] gmail [dot] com

***NOTE: If it takes a while for us to respond, please be patient as we currently (and quite happily) live without internet or electricity in the beautiful wilds of Alberta.  We will be checking our email as we are able.

Greetings.

God bless JWR for his efforts to bring us all together and facilitate the sharing of information that could save our lives.

I am a lone prepper. It shouldn’t sound sad; I’ve been on this course in life since I was a teenager, now in my mid-30′s. I’ve hit some speed-bumps and fallen off the wagon a few times, but the last 6 years have been especially intense. As world events foreshadow an economic collapse, war, and a tightening fist on personal freedom, I feel more motivated than ever to meet like-minded folks.

I would describe myself as an intermediate prepper. There are holes in my game (farming, owning a retreat), but I also have specialties (electrical, mechanical, construction, fabrication, welding, wilderness living), and I am hoping for an exchange of skills and knowledge. I’m open-minded, and the more I learn in life, the more I see how little I know. People used to form tribes to share the chores of everyday life and compliment each others knowledge. It may need to be like this again.

Ideally I would meet people in my area willing to get together and talk in person, but I have no expectations; most Canadians are a lot more sheep-like than their US neighbours.

My location is in the Thompson Region of British Columbia, but it would be good to get to know people from all over Canada and the USA.

If you’re interested,

Hello,

I am currently living in Central Iowa.  I am a newer prepper.  I think of myself as an environmental survivalist now.  I am very spiritual, but not religious.  I have a survivalist boyfriend, but he lives in Canada.  So I am building for mine and my childs safety first and we will see if he comes on board.   Right now I am making some choices in life.  I am a single Mom with a 3 year old at home.  I am wanting to relocate to either Northern Idaho, Washington up by the border, Canada, or Alaska.  As I said I am making some choices.  I am a graduate student, and very capable person.  I am a professional and a doula.   My goal is to build or join an off the grid fully sustainable homestead, where we can make it through TEOWAKI and begin to make th world a better place for future generations.  Right now I am wanting to make contact with like minded individuals to learn and teach skills.  I believe that we will need a collaborated effort to thrive and not just survive.  I would love to hear from other people.  Thank you all for being of the mindset, Tabatha

Family of two seek others interested in acquiring land for secure off-grid living. Have general plans with a few alternate approaches for collaborative purchase of 60 to 80 acres with shares or leases to members coming in with less cash than others. Lots of experience with alternative and off-grid community. Have identified numerous pieces of acreage that would serve the purpose, offering abundant water, forest and privacy. Have done extensive research of micro-climate zones throughout region, targeting moderate weather balanced with longest growing seasons.

This group is vegetarian only – no animal maintenance and slaughter on the land. Pets welcome. Cows for milk welcome if properly managed, but there are dairies in the region, along with ample orchards and vegetable growing operations. We’re expert heirloom seed producers, into wild foods and all types of simple living, high thinking.

This is a God-loving group that welcomes all faiths and rigorously defends freedom of personal religious expression, as long as God’s at the center. Have a significant inventory of homesteading goods and tools to share, lots of vision and enthusiasm for hard work in a cooperative atmosphere. We also have in place some foundation for economic development, so cash can be earned by members in place, under all (or most) economic circumstances. Gun owners welcome (although this is Canada…) Militants, fanatics, addicts not welcome.
