I am new to the site (great find, thanks) and believe that when TSHTF it will pretty much stop any movement.  I have been in Costa Rica for a few years and have been living deep in the mountains with my wife and stepson.  Have a 2 student school nearby.  I own a 15 acre ranch that has a 2 acre spring-fed lake, and backs up to a mountain.  It has about 7 building sites and lots of oranges, lemons, ginger, as well as some pretty big Rainbow Bass in the lake.  I am interested in finding a couple of small like-minded families to share the property with us.  Buy in for 25k and build a small home for about 15k, buy a cow, and watch it come unwound from the safety of the mountains.  There is a decent size town 45 minutes away for supplies.  I’m a retired pilot and have been ranching for 5 years.  Contact me with inquiries.  Bill          Cocobills [at] yahoo [dot] com

I totaly agree with meeting people close to you, see what there doing and what not. But everyone believes what they want to believe. But people need to meet on this site from all over. Comment on peoples posts talk to each other. Because in this day and age with all the travel we do for fun and work, we never know where we will be when anything happens. So knowing more people like us only helps all of us in the long run. Thats my thoughts!!

Time permitting, Costa Rica might be a great location to relocate should TSHTF here in the U.S.

They have no army, you can own land, they have 100′s of micro climates so you can find a climate that suits you best. They produce 90+% of their power via hydro-electric plants. The country is basically agrarian so people are used to living off the land. The water there is safe to drink.

If anyone is interested in exploring the possibilities with me, please contact me.
