New member of the prepping community looking to join with other survival-oriented people in the southwest area. Currently in NM, able to travel. Own my own weapons and a small gear stockpile. Unable to stockpile any great quantity of food and water due to living space restrictions and lack of funding. Humans are social animals who, despite being *able* to survive alone, function best in groups. I’m just looking for somewhere I can help out.

Skills: decent marksman, moderate first aid experience, several years’ backpacking experience. Former boy scout and ROTC cadet. Employed as a chemistry assistant in an electroplating shop for 4 years. Some minor communications and electrical experience. Helped build 2 houses in the Las Cruces area, know my way around manual labor construction a fair bit.

If anyone in the southwest area has an existing group that could use an extra set of working hands, with a halfway decent brain attached, please let me know.

Our family (of 4 possibly 5) is realizing that things are heading downhill fast and is looking for a likeminded community or small group to connect with.  We are praying to find someplace that can allow us in based on what an asset we can be and not the money we can bring.  We wish to relocate to Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, N. Nebraska, but preferably somewhere out West since it is less populated (Montana, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, North or South Dakota, Wyoming, and Utah). We are choosing not to remain in Tennessee. We know the SHTF soon and we want to take action now. So far we have a few books, some food, and our BOBs. We know time is short and are hoping to make this change soon. We also know that it will not be easy work and it will be WORK…..we understand that and wouldn’t expect it to be worth it if wasn’t.

Skills we can offer…. My husband is a mechanic (auto and diesel), knows flooring, carpentry, meat cutting, gardening, firearms, how to live  in the woods, hunting and fishing, self-defense, cooking (indoor and out), has been known to pull a MacGyver now and then, childcare, some medical, and he even does laundry. I can bring the basic household duties but I have also worked many jobs and can probably do it all except weld or drive a semi (but I haven’t tried those yet either), I have cleaned stalls, worked in food service, Amazon fulfillment, MANY factory jobs, office jobs at a college and a tax office, customer service positions, and traveled with a carnival a friend owns. My daughter just graduated in May 2016 and has her first real job at Amazon, but she has always helped my uncle at their place with the garden, grass cutting, and just following him around helping. My son is starting high school this year.

In all honesty, I’M SCARED AS HELL OF WHAT IS TO COME!!!!!!!! While I have no doubt that my husband will do whatever it takes to protect us, I know that we need more training and help to make it. We are not financially blessed by any means, he works a decent job, and I am unemployed, making the other income to the household an SSI check and child support. I am scared for my children and the future that is in front of them, especially my son. I see these things of how they want to “weed out” the weak, disabled, and elderly, and it frightens me as to what could happen to him. We have thought of all the options we have when the time comes and some of them frighten and hurt me. We currently live just outside of Chattanooga, but it is just over the mountain in our backyard, and those folks are going to be heading somewhere to try to survive….

We do not want to hide any information from you, so you ask and we will tell. We have no roots here, and have been looking to leave for a while, but have stayed just because it’s where my kids have always gone to school. I pray that things do not occur the way everyone is saying, but all the signs are pointing in that direction. I get bombarded with emails daily about the coming things and at times I am ready to give up because I just don’t know what to do. I know the Lord says to trust in Him in all things, but it is hard for me sometimes and that scares me too. You can reach us at live4future17[at]gmail[dot]com we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi everyone,

I’m moving from Minnesota to the Salt Lake area for work soon and I’m looking for preppers to get in touch with, work with, and bounce ideas off of. If you’re looking for a person to join your group or community, or extra hands around the homestead to help with work I’d be honored to assist you. Ultimately, I’d like to buy a plot of land from, or around, the people I’ve been working with to secure resources. I want to start my own homestead complete with off-grid energy independence, self sustaining food resources, and a well or stream nearby for water.

I’m currently 22 years old and grew up in rural Minnesota hunting, fishing, trapping, and doing farm work. I’ve always been an outdoors person and have plenty of camping gear and skills that are vital in ‘SHTF’ situations. I work as a wilderness therapist assisting in the recovery of teens and young adults in a wilderness setting. My career requires that I balance my hard skills (navigation, wilderness survival, first aid, engineering) with soft skills (communication and leadership). I’m trained as a Wilderness First Responder, which is advanced first aid for rural areas. I have conducted multiple in field injury assessments and provided treatment. I studied economics and psychology in college and began to see the warning lights going off. My concerns/interests in prepping are economic collapse (another great depression), an overly authoritarian government, and World War III. I’m a very liberty minded individual and well aware of government spying and corruption. I dabbled with encryption in college and would be willing to teach anyone who’s interested in keeping their digital information secure.

If you’re a prepper in the Salt Lake I’d love to chat. If you’re interested in adding a member to your homestead or community, or know someone who might be, please comment or message me. I’ll be in Salt Lake in early April just in time to attend PrepperCon! Hope to see you there!

Warning: This post is older than 12months. Information contained in this post may no longer be current.

The company I work for recently purchased 120+ acres of land bordering state trust land in Arizona. We are in the process of purchasing another 200+ adjoining acres. We are going to be letting people use 1/4 acre parcels,  1/2 acre parcels with a few 1 acre parcels in our prepper compound. User will be responsible for obtaining and providing to us a background check, providing a resume for adults and a phone interview with a probable follow up in person interview.  There is already a community well drilled to meet water needs.  A 300 gallon water tank can be filled in 10 minutes flow and supply is great.
Our goal when SHTF is to establish a self sustaining prepper community with a mix of people from all backgrounds and experiences. We want nurses, nurse practitioners, doctors, teachers, military, farmers, contractors, preachers and more. By the time we are done we anticipate having 60-75 families using 400+ private acres as a bugout location when the need arises. Currently we have 1 nurse, 1 nurse practitioner, two former military, a general contractor, a farmer and a former state trooper (and their families) as well as emplyees from the company with various skills and their families.
Each person on their parcel will be able to pull up an RV/5th wheel, camp, or build a cabin etc . You can fence it your parcel as well. There is a community well already set up, power will be by wind, solar or generator on your lot. You will be able to start a garden on your lot, raise rabbits or chickens etc to help provide for your family. Come and camp or live there full time it is yours to do as you wish but when SHTF you will have a great bugout location if you choose not to live there beforehand.
We will be reserving a large portion of the land for community gardens, rabbit pens and chicken coops, and other food sources to assist with food for community members.  We also have plans to build a chapel, a covered community activities area, and more. Parcels will circle this area for easy access for all parcels.
All resources are on site from water, to heavily wooded areas to pasture and meadows. In a SHTF scenario not only will we be able to provide for the compound but will have enough rabbits and chickens as well as vegtables and fruits to hopefully barter/sell for things we can not produce ourselves.

Let me be clear here on this.  We are not looking to overthrow the government, take over the world or anything else.  We would encourage each resident to have a firearm for hunting and self defense purposes if needed but this is not a requirement.  The goal is a safehaven for members to provide for themselves and family when SHTF, or a nice quiet place to live, or vacation to camp etc until SHTF.  Once SHTF this will become a survival situation and we are trying to help make that as easy as possible for you but please do not show up with no knives, tents, sleeping bags etc.  You need to prepare for this ahead of time and have that sort of stuff easily accessable in a bugout situation.  If this is not possible let us know and we may be able to purchase it and store it on site for you.

There is a $50 non refundable application fee to be considered for a parcel.   You will be required to provide a copy of a background check for each adult person that will be on the property.  No pedophiles, violent offenders etc.  I will have my wife and kids there and this will be a safe place for them when SHTF so that type stuff will not be let in.  There will be a $50 monthly fee for 1/4 acre lots and a $75 monthly fee for 1/2 acre lots and $100 monthly fee for 1 acre lots. This money will be used among other things to add in community rabbit pens, rabbits, chicken coops, chickens, cattle, dig ponds to be stocked with fish, gardens and more plus community center area, community kitchens for those that dont build, extra water storage tanks and more.

If or when you are selected there will be a $500 fee to pick your parcel for any size. Selection will come in order of the fee being paid. There are some premium parcels that we assume will go first that back up to Arizona State Trust land and the one acre parcels. With no difference in the reservation fee we assume they will go first.  Two weeks after acceptance you will be removed from the approval list if the selection fee has not been paid or other arrangements have not been made.(we can work with you but need to know) We can barter for the $500 fee on a  few lots for some things.  Contact us with those requests and offers.

Do the math we are not doing this to get rich.  Our cost of the land once the last acquisitions are made will be probably in the $400k-500k range.  Even if every lot was 1 acre $100 monthly lots it would take us 10 years to get our money back out and that does not include all the upgrades we will be doing, animals, garden expenses etc.  We are doing this to give our employee families the best situation to be in when SHTF and we feel that is with a good group of people from all walks of life.

No freeloaders.  Once SHTF (and it eventually will) you will be required to maintain your own parcel, garden, rabbits etc as well as work on the community gardens etc  each day to ensure as a collective we can supplement when we need to for all members.

We are going to be looking for  a year round resident for the compound for security, and upkeep, take care of community rabbits and garden in exchange for a fee free 1 acre parcel and possibly once the lots are leased out a salary.  Parcel owners will be able to work out an agreement with that person for various things like raising your own set of rabbits on your parcel, spreading your rabbit poop on a portion of your land where you want your garden to fertalize it, possibly a garden and more.  We can provide the Rabbit hutches and assembly on your parcel for $175 each otherwise you will be responsible for assembly and delivery.  One buck and two does price is $75.  These will be well bred New Zeleand White meat rabbits.  They will be younger so they can be used for a while for breeding before .  I am sure you can work with him/her once we get them hired to actually process and sell your rabbits if wanted for some income to cover your monthly fees.

There will be sensible contracts to be signed for both our protection and yours.  Pretty much dont be a disruptive drunk, drug user or get arrested for a sex crime, or violent crime and not freeloading and you can stay as long as you want as long as your monthly fees are paid.  Do any of those things and unfortunately we will need to part ways.  If thats you please dont waste either of our times.
If you are interested please leave your contact info below and I will email you all the details or email me directly at (smallminers at yahoo dot com)

Tired of trying to do it all on your own.  you may be a good fit for our group .We are a nationwide prepping group made up of good people who care about each other, who take care of each other, and who prepare together. Why? Because we live in very uncertain times and it is the smart thing to do. At this time , we are 452 members strong in 43 States. If we continue to grow at this rate, we will be in all 50 States by December 2015 with more than 1,000 members. We are inviting you to join our family of preppers. We are an amazing group, you will make us better!

Our mission is to create an independent system, free of external support which would promote interdependence. In an uncertain world filled with natural disasters and worldwide terrorism, it is only reasonable for a person to seek security in the strength of a group. This system will ensure the safety and security of its members regardless of the scope, duration, or intensity of any emergency. Our mission is to develop a nationwide network of well organized, well prepared, well meaning, likeminded individuals who know, trust and care about each other. The goal of our group will be to leverage the collective skills and resources of its Members so that when the storm arrives, the weak will be safe, the hungry will be fed, and the sick will be healed. Please check out our Plan B .  If you are interested in more information please email me back and I will answer any questions you may have.  bredon1384 [at] gmail [dot] com

Hello all,

First off, happy 4th of July to all American preppers!

I am a part of a small, Ohio-based prepping network that are looking to extend our membership out to the other mainland US states! (sorry Alaska/Hawaii). We are very organized in our methods of prepping and want like-minded people who can contribute, to come on board!

So some more info…

What are we:

– An Ohio-based prepping network! What does this mean? Basically, we are a group of like-minded prepping individuals who share their knowledge, wisdom and experience with other members of the network. We have our own, private lines of communication to do this.

– What do we do? In ‘peacetime’ we mainly share information and news between one another. The local individuals do meet for prepping meets/range days/beers and we are looking to become more organized (and varied) with our meetings as we grow in size.

– What do we have? Besides the usual prepping resources, we have organization and (hopefully) a growing community! In all seriousness though, we do have a hierarchy. This is formed and enforced through a moderate selection process; each member has an assigned peacetime and post-SHTF role based on their skill set. We have contingency plans, bugout location(s) (working on a few) amongst other things. We pride ourselves in being very organized.

What do we want:

– Likeminded individuals: We do not discriminate based on age, gender, marital status, religion, sexual preference, or anything else you can think of. However, we do select based on experience and there is an interview/selection process as explained below.

– Experienced Preppers: We do have a selection process. This is essentially to prevent freeloaders and ensure that you’re a good fit! We do ask that people applying be actively prepping prior to joining, or have the means to do so after joining. Exceptions are always given on a case-by-case basis but generally we aren’t a group suited for brand new preppers.

– People with niche skills, such as:

  • Medical professionals: Doctors, Surgeons, Nurses, Medics, EMT’s, Combat Medics.
  • Former soldiers/military personnel: Particularly those who have undertaken both training and/or combat roles. Former ‘specialist’ MOS’s are encouraged to apply.
  • Mechanics: Particularly vehicle mechanics.
  • Builders: Especially those with experience building small houses (or similar)
  • Naturists: No, not the people who are naked all the time. We’re looking for people with experience in edible plants, alternative medicine and growing large quantities of food.
  • Electricians/Plumbers: As with the builders, experience with domestic buildings is a plus!
  • Chefs: Anyone with experience storing, preparing and serving food. People with experience in creating home made alcohol also a plus.
  • Farmers/Vets: Anyone with experience in keeping and maintaining the wellbeing of animals. Particularly farm/domestic animals.
  • Blacksmith: Anyone with experience in fabricating and welding.
  • Seamstress: Experience making and repairing clothes.

What we are not:

– A paid membership-based network: We are not ZERT! You will be required to only give up knowledge and experience to become a member. Besides what you spend on your personal prepping, we will never ask you for your hard earned cash!

– A militia: we are not an organization to help you plan your government overthrow. We are about sustainability and community. Yes, we are armed, but are by no means an offensive fighting force. We won’t be going to war with the federal government, teaching you tax evasion or helping you plan the assassination of your neighbor. So if that’s what you want – move along!

– A charity: Our members prep their resources for themselves. We share knowledge and training now. Post-SHTF resource sharing will occur between communities in line with our pre-approved plans.

I know I have posted a lot of info, if you think that this network sounds like it could be for you, please leave a comment below, tell us about yourself and leave your email address! I actively monitor this so will reply pretty quickly. Looking forward to seeing whose out there.

– JP

Family of six maybe seven looking to move with 30 to 60 days notice.

We are Christians.  My wife and I are retired and debt free with moderate monthly income (long as the economy last).  We are ready to prep full time and move to join a group or help start a group. We are looking to live a self-sustainable lifestyle before and surviving while thriving after any crises that may occur.  I have my own tools and equipment, food, water filter, some weapons and ammo, camper to live in till living structure is built.  Looking to build a CEB (compressed earth block) living structure.  I am also building my own CEB press.  If we joined a group, we will need at least 1-2 acre to build and live on.  We want to help others do the same, also willing to work on the common area preparing it for when it all falls apart.   I am learning every day and by no means have even scratched the surface so I want to learn from others as well.  I also have the material to build a shop 39’x40′ with CEB walls from local soil.  I have two sons (21 & 30) a daughter (23) with 16 month old son (possibly a son-in-law) and a wife all in better than average health.   No medications required for any of us.  All are on board for this. We thought we had a place but it didn’t work out so we need to get out of the city.  We currently live in a irrigated desert which is running out of water.  When power is gone water will be gone as will civil order.  I am a Nam Vet.   We have building experience, some electrical, plumbing, welding, machine, metal buildings & roofs, mechanic both gas and diesel, solar hot water system, semi truck driver, reloading experience and equipment, certified gun smith (passed a test), canning experience with equipment and more.   I have worked relief on two hurricanes working almost 30 days with each one.  So I have seen civil disorder and rioting with families who were not prepared at all.  I’ve also seen families who never missed a beat as they were ready for the natural disaster that hit.  I lived at a mission base with my oldest son for two months in the Amazon without power so we ate meat only when we had caught or killed it.  Ten years ago we lived in a camper for one year on the road along the eastern coast from Niagara Falls, to Beaumont Texas then on to El Paso and Las Cruces N.M, then Sholo to Sahuarita, Arizona while homeschooling.  We are debt free and looking for a group with similar values to connect with and then relocate to, which will not be a quick process as we will need to get to know each other (although time is short).  Don’t need decoder rings but security is an important point before we consider joining forces with others.  We have served the Lord for 21 years full time without a paying full time job so we do not have a nest egg or 401K so if you are looking for a lot of money look somewhere else.  I have much more to share but will do so in a more private way.  So contact me then we can talk privately.

We (my Wife and I) have been preparing for about 12 months, we are in the process of relocating to Provo Utah.   We are preparing for the economic and social collapse and any other man made or natural disasters.

We are looking to join a small to medium size group whose members are very close, and the group is very well organized.  We are willing to help work the land and anything else that will empower the group.  We are very hard workers and fast learners, we are in the process of learning first aid and CPR skills, canning skills, food storage preparation, and survivalist skills for urban and nature areas.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Gayland and Adrian
