On the mountain (Cumberland Plateau) near Tracy City. One road in – terminates at the bluff. Cliffs on three sides. We own 750 acres – lots of timber, water, waterfalls, caves, etc. Self-sufficient life style w/ community garden.

Hey there, me and my family live in sequatchie county, just over the hill we are looking to get into a community of back to the basics and self reliant people. I am a certified mechanic, have worked for the three american car manufacturers and was mechanic for the railroad for 3 1/2 years.I run my own automotive repair business currently and have for a number of years. I can do plumbing, carpentry and welding, of which all I am very sufficent. We are a 4 person family wanting to get back to the basics. Would like to hear more. Thank you for your time.

Hello Lost Traveler, just trying to get out there and find anyone like us. I was raised in the mountains of the cumberland and the phase “hillbilly”, is what I am. My grandpa was a moonshiner, farmer, and a sniper for the military, he taught me alot of things that I am sorry to say, I have forgotten over the years that have passed. We are a strong Christian based family that puts family over everything and thats why in these times, its time to get with the program or get left out in the cold. Tell me do you ever wander what if? Well now its not what if but how soon.

Around the Knoxville area there are several people making contact , even a get together up around Norris this month. Never hear of anything around here. Yes , with the high gas prices coming ( which means that anything transported will go up in price ) it will be How Soon ? __ Might have to put a Fresh Post as this one is dated Nov 13 , 2011 __ I just happened on your new comment by going through older posts for East Tennessee .
Hello again, havent been on very much. We are checking into some properties now to get back to the basics. we have found some nice places within the 75 mile range and we are wanting to get some other families in on our sites to have more full self reliance. Hoping to get some good feedback on this. We are going solar and will be building a small community of likeminded Christian, but not finanticle families, that are willing to do the same. Yes there are many of us that know how you feel. When it comes to BOL we made it our life’s goal to study everywhere and everything we could to determine the best place. Three years ago that was south west Florida just below the Caloosahatchee river. We will get into why later with anyone interested. However, once this last election happened we saw laws being passed that make sustainability and preppers public enemy one and were forced to move opperations a little more to the south to not be part of the deadly system they continue to forge. We found that there are several countries tons more free than the US that will not feel the collapse hardly at all. We found that countries such as Belize have virgin soils, Very low populations, perfect rainfall, and great temps all year around. We also found that they are big food exporters. Therefore when the SHTF we will be headed in the right direction. Don’t get us wrong we are homesteaded here in the US as well but we see everyday that this place is headed rapidly to becoming a completely unsustainable evil mess that no one will want to be trapped in once it collapses. Some new figures show that these crooks on office here now have us trapped in debt to international bankers like the Fed to the tune of 653k per family. In other words have a ore planned place to escape to if there’s any way in the world you can. Your family will thank you for it. God bless Biospharms. Search us out for more information.
Im new to the prepper world , just joined this AM . Strongly support the boy Scout motto of” Be Prepared”.
Im located 35 mi east of Knoxville TN on Lake Cherokee . Got a basic cache of food essentials and ammo and enought firepower to protect them .

I live 20 mins outside of west knoxville. We have several friends that say they want to prepare but don’t seem to be making much effort to prepare much. We, my family and I, don’t believe these people will be of much help when the time comes. So we have decided to look elsewhere for “like minded” people who are more serious about their safety and survival. Thanks, Joe
We are new to this prepper things as well. We’re preparing the best we can for whatever scenario plays out. With the extreme weather and inflation of products we feel it is better safe then sorry. We do not have a lot of money but we do have skills.
