We are looking for other like minded, serious folks that have realized that you need to be able to take care of yourself and not rely on big brother should SHTF.
A really great example is the BART fire yesterday that cut-off the east bay from San Francisco and beyond. All you saw on the news was panic. All you kept hearing was ‘The authorities should have had a plan’…… Really? So like I said, let’s all learn and practice taking care of ourselves. Is your group looking for a serious couple with great skills should we experience a serious shtf. Hello, I am new to the prepping world and have just started gathering basic supplies, bug out gear, etc. I have been unable to convince my family of the importance of being prepared for the worst. I am looking for like minded people to share thoughts and ideas about prepping. Just knowing that there are others in town that understand the need for such measures is helpful. Any information you could give about prepping would be appreciated. Also, I am looking for a topographical map of Napa, any ideas about where I could find one?

I realize that these posts are older but I just signed up for this forum and came across them. Hopefully you have been successful in putting together a group in Napa. I am in the Air Force, going on 12 years. My husband and I just recently transferred to Travis AFB from Washington DC and we live in Napa. I would love to find a group here in the Napa Valley to join up with, learn from and share some knowledge with. We are pretty new to prepping and don’t have a wealth of knowledge yet, but we do have some unique qualifications that we could contribute, we’re always coming up with ideas here and there and are very motivated to learn. If there is a group out there willing to take us in, we’d love to meet you!
