I am interested in meeting individuals and groups in Western MA and New England. I am new to prepping but want to be able to keep my family safe if any kind of emergency situation were to take place. I’ve been a registered nurse for 14 years with a variety of experience – a few months of OR experience, worked on an orthopaedic unit, and 7 years on a surgical unit with an intermediate care unit for trauma & neuro patients, and currently in a management position. I hope to meet some cool, informative, and sane individuals that might be interested in working together or just assist me as I develop an initial plan to start prepping.

We are new as well So NH. Meeting by weekly at this point. Kinda fumbling around in the dark. There is just me and a buddy. My wife thinks I am nuts. My mother is real serious. I read the news I see the writing on the wall. We can only print money for so long. Drop me a line if interested in talking.
I can send you are generic format that we have put together for a 2 year prepping list. Ie, what food amounts, goals to reach, certain weapons to have. You get the idea. Tx
Thanks I would appreciate the prep list and having someone else brainstorm with.
N.E.W. – I would be interested in that list as well. I’ve done some thing but would be interested in a more organized approached to prepping. -k

Hi,
I started prepping a while ago and I have some basic supplies. I started with the Cannery in Worcester run by LDS. The have bulk food that can be canned or mylar packed. It was the best way for me for to build up my bulk supplies for a reasonable price. Also, Restaurant Depot is another great place to build up on bulk supplies. If you google year food supply there is a site run by LDS which gives what an individual needs for a years supply of food. There is also much more to add to the supplies that isn’t included but it’ll always be welcome if you have to get into the food supply.
My experience with forming a group can be frustrating. Everybody is on a different time frame and it can be like herding cats at times. Best of luck and choose your group wisely. There is always those who want to join but many don’t have the money to contribute for the minimum food requirements, thereby putting a strain on other members. I’m sure they’re well meaning, unless they have a major skill that the group needs then I’d say you might want to pass on the candidate.
It’s getting late and it’s a long day,
John
Hi,
I’m in north central mass and have been doing some prepping but want to get more organized. I’ve been alone with this, so its so good to hear there are other people doing this. -k
Hello. I share similar interests; I have a partner as well, and two small dogs. I’ve been preparing for 5 to 7 years, maybe 10, maybe 11, depending on how you look at it. Anyway, I am looking to buy, or join others on, a property approximately 15 to 30 acres and position several all-season travel trailers on the land. The more serious that I get about it, the more uncertain my serious prepper friends become about it, and that really concerns me. I have suggested a budget of $50,000 per household, being $30,000 toward land purchase and $20,000 toward housing accommodation. Well that got cold feet, and that concerns me because I don’t see how we could actually get by a freezing cold winter of 4- to 5- months long unless we are prepared to pay for it. So I am looking to find others who are seriously interested and/or who may already have land and might be interested in my joining with my partner. Find me at swonderfulworld-at-gmail-dot-com. Regards, Nobody.
I live in Western Ma where I have been prepping with my partner for years.
There is a new facebook page called “Western Ma Preppers and Homesteaders”. We have a group of about 20 people (and growing). It is not a conspiracy theory page. We network, share skills and info and are planing to do some outdoor activites in the Spring.
