I personally have always wanted to relocate to WY – I’m looking at WindRiver Country (Lander, Dubois) but anyplace not near the cities would be fine – MT would also be fine it will depend really on where we find a job.  I am looking to connect with anyone from these areas for moral support, prepping ideas unique to that part of the country (ex. your growing season is different than ours in MO) etc.  I am a Christian, have 3 children, I homeschool but have a  paralegal backgroun, my husband is a juvenile officer here and is looking for WY state or county positions in this field.

Currently we rent but are able to have meat rabbits, dairy goats, chickens, ducks and a garden as we rent outside of town.  Any advice, suggestions, job opportunities, pro/cons or just friendship anyone from these areas can offer would be appreciated.

We are interested in ‘walk-it’ believers who are bent on preparing for others as well as for themselves. We pray if we do this right He’ll send a few people here for help and all that goes along with it.

We are building a refuge intent upon achieving physical survival and self-sustainability, of course, but most importantly is to do this in a way which honors Him and depends upon Him.  We are seeking, first, His kingdom.  There is nothing new under the sun and our’s is a tale which has already been told.  We don’t seem to have any questions and problems which can’t be answered in scripture and by good old fashioned prayer – with excellent results.   We’re not zealots and we’re not ‘preachy’.
Ideological diversity on a virtual group is different than in an actual reality community.  We’re not looking for perfect people but alternative sexuality is a no-go. as well as foul-mouths, drunks, addicts, and those who are seeking to hide from anybody for anything.   We came up with this criteria the hard way – makes for good campfire stories.
Discreet smokers are welcome.

For those who are still reading this:
We have 8+ acres with exceptional sustainability features located in the corner of SW MO.  We can provide individual housing for the first few new people and are building geodesic dome/earthship shelters for people, animals, and winter gardens.  If you don’t know what ‘earthship‘ construction is you can web search it.  There is plentiful information online.   People can build whatever they want.  We have a lot going on here but it is a homestead;  With the exception of electricity, phone, and internet, it is pretty-much rustic camping with composting toilets and spring water, which we filter but probably don’t need to.   We raise chickens, rabbits, and have 500lbs of feed for the hooved animals we are hoping to trade 14′ domes for.
We are connected by friendship and kinship to others in SW MO who are doing the same, in varying degrees of approach.
The cost is $150 per person or $250 per couple to participate from either within or from where you are at this time.  Included is use of all the amenities.  You must provide your own food, transportation, toiletries, and are welcome to build here and/or to bring RVs/trailers.  We have four tons of steel tubing for domes and an ample source for tires.
A few things:
We don’t have a website and don’t want one.
We don’t facebook and want no internet visibility (as a location) other than to seek members.
We don’t participate in gov’t or law enforcement bashing on-line or otherwise.
We  avoid any gov’t aid benefits associated with this address. We do NOT consider S.S., retirement benefits,  or unemployment insurance, to be ‘aid’.
That’s it in a nutshell.  Looking forward to meeting others of our kind.
If you you share the same goals and aspirations  please contact us.
May our Father continue to bless us, His son, our King, keep us, and His Holy Spirit guide us. amen

Greetings,

I am a regular Army officer with about 7 or so years until i expect to retire. I am exploring options for purchasing land near a group or rereat area that adheres to the principles articulated by James Rawles in his various works and web site. I explain a bit about my background and then layout the options paths i am exploring.

I am looking for advice, comments, or even to establish contacts for a long term exploration of preparing a site for my family, either as a stand alone family style location, near a set of like minded families, or even to buy land adjacent to an current retreat location for an existing group of people like in the book Patriots. Location is open, but must adhere to Awles principles, and others such as the book Strategic Relocations.

Background: Regular Army Field Grade, MFE branch (maneuver, fires and effects as the branches were reorganized several years ago),  screening for Bn Cmd this year and next. I have several deployments with close combat experience, and lots of combat patrols leading men under fire. Also have battle staff experience, again in an operational environment. I am married, 15 years now, 4 kids, with my oldest son joining the Ranger regiment this summer. My military niche is is operations, training, and planning. And of course leading Soldiers. I have a TS-SCI at present.

I’d like to find property in east Texas or the Palouse hills area of the NW. Options include making my family farmstead out alone, abutting another retreat area, or even joining the Right group.

My skills are mainly military skills, but i am starting to learn farming skills now, into my second year with a large garden plot on my 2 acers i own now near my base of assignment. I am mostly prepared for about 4 months, but am going to play the odds and wait to acquire a long term retreat site for a few years, building my skills and establishing a network of folks that are similar in mid set.

I am taking a slow, deliberate approach and am interested in establishing contact with folks in the Ralwsian mind set, and building relationships over time. The size land i am looking for is about a 100 acers but that of course has many tactical variables that could shrink the size or expand it.

This is a great forum. To the webmaster, i would be cautious about plants etc, as in my work, i have access to certain knowledge regarding HLS and the like. But i am sure you are considering that.

Looking forward to the future!

I live in NH, but have a 75 acre camp in the woods of southern Maine, and is  very secluded. I am fully prepared for my wife and I. There is plenty of water, and game there. I would sell 12 acres next to my camp to the right person or group.  it is very defensible, one way in & out, and easy to close off. it is 2 miles in the woods from a tar road which is not town maintained. There is no electricity, and no one lives there. It sits among thousands of wooded acres. For more info contact me at :

Hi everyone. I am located in a small town between Walla Walla Washington  and Lewiston Idaho. I am new to this but have lots of questions. I am prior Military 90-96, 96-03, weapons instructor, gunsmith,CAD Drafter. The church my wife and I attend is a Assembly of  God. We are both in our mid 40′s and have a little 2 yr old boy. My wife Has her masters, and is a Family Nurse Practitioner. We are very friendly easy going people and are looking for others alike to talk with and network with. We are not anti government types wanting to join a cult. We are very much aware this nation is not what it once was and with all the fema and military prepositioning  going on  it’s time to act.

Currently I run my own business using a automated wood router and plasma , metal cutter.

Basically we are kinda at a stand still on how to prepare for the coming crisis. We are thinking of packing some packs and holding up in the hills but it would be wise to contact others and create a network or find like minded friends.  Any help or info would be very much appreciated.

Would anyone be interested in a MeetUp group for SW Missouri?

I know gas is getting expensive but I bet many of us go into Springfield on a semi regular basis to shop and we could do dual duty on our trips.  Let me know if you are interested.

Actually a bit east of Springfield  (Diggens/Fordland/Seymour on hwy 60 would be better for me but I am flexible.

I am most interested in getting together to sharpen and add to my skill set. Things such as bushcraft, marksmanship, tactical training, food growing and preservation, foraging and wild plant identification, working teams of horses, small grain raising, hoop house horticulture,  etc.

Perhaps someone has a few acres where we could meet and camp every few weeks and learn from each other.

Blessings

Joe

We live in the Aurora area (east-southeast of Cleveland) and are looking to meet other like-minded “preppers”. A small group of us have begun meeting on a semi-regular basis and are interested in seeing this develop further.

If you have similar interests or if you are already part of another like-minded group please contact me.

Our greatest desire is to serve The Most High God, The Creator, and proclaim His Truth as long as possible.

Looking forward to meeting you.

My wife and I are seeking other individuals, couples or families that are looking for a family that can and will to contribute to others that want to band together if the balloon goes up. This can be an established group or those seeking to form a group.

We are Christians, have been prepping for several years but shifted into high gear when my wife read “Patriots” a couple of years ago. We are well balanced in our preps, well acquainted with primitive camping, basic survival skills but are constantly continuing to build upon our basic knowledge and supplies.

I am ex-military, have worked in the medical field for the last 10 years, am raising livestock, chickens and have done a wee bit of blacksmithing.

My wife has raised livestock most of her life, done gardening, and is a mean cook with a Dutch oven or an open fire and worked as a cook in the local hospital.

We are looking in Northern Nevada and the surrounding states. We own the property where we live but since we are in the High Desert water is an issue, thus the need to relocate if things go south. We are not looking to overthrow the government, and as long as you bleed red blood we would be glad to speak with you.

If interested please e-mail me at partisancsa [at] gmail [dot] com
