Former military and LE. Christian and family man.
I live in (and have a retreat in) Northern Idaho, but my work/job will be taking me to Colorado Springs for the summer (June/July). I’ll be driving down and back with gear, fuel, and commo in case something goes down while I’m away from home.
I’m looking for two things:
1. A halfway point (or some point along the way) that I could get to as a safe-place if I need to refuel, sleep, and rest before hitting the road again. I could offer security and a helping hand if I am forced to link up with you for a day or two or until the dust settles, if needed. I’d like to keep half my fuel at a safe place along the route while I’m down there. That way I can get home, but if something happened to me you could use it.
My primary bugout routes are from Co, to WY, MT, and then to ID. Alternate routes would take me from CO, to UT, to ID/MT. Would love to have contact with like-minded folks along the way home if anything really bad ever happens while I’m away from my family and retreat group.
2. Would like to know if anyone may have the same (or similar) bugout routes in the event of a TEOTWAWKI situation during that time-frame. Would like to make a tentative linkup plan to travel in numbers (safety). Will be armed and have food, fuel, tools, etc. but am prepared to travel cross-country on foot if I have to abandon vehicle. Hopefully be able to locate some likeminded retreats along the route home. Please let me know. Thanks. God bless.
