Family of five to ten looking to move with 90 to 120 days notice.

We are Christians.  My wife and I are retired and debt free with moderate monthly income (long as the economy lasts).  We are looking to live a self sustaining life style full time and move to join a group or help start one. By living a self-sustainable lifestyle before you can survive while thriving after any crises that may occur.  I am not looking for a place to hide and die but a permanent change in lifestyle to start getting off the grid as we can and then staying off the grid in a secure, secluded area.

I don’t want to work hard and dumb but simple and basic.  I have a lot of tools and equipment.  I hope to also get (or build) a saw mill and backhoe.

We have food, water filters, some weapons and ammo and a camper to live in till I can build a living structure.  Will be building some type of an earth structure from one of the following: Aircrete, CEB, (compressed earth block) Rammed Earth Bags and/or Adobe using the reactive home concept for a living structure (no mechanical heating or cooling) as taught by Bill Mollison long before Mike Reynolds’ Earth Ship concept ever came along.  I am thinking about build my own CEB press.  I also have the material to build a metal roof for a shop about 40’x40′ using earth walls from local soil.

I believe biofuel is one answer for renewable fuel and garbage scrap disposal.

Aquaponics is the only real answer to a year round renewable food source of meat and vegetables that I am aware of.  Built in a reactive greenhouse.

I have personal experience with compost toilets and have built two of them so far with good results.

We have a 2000 gal. rain catchment system in place at our current location.  Designed for a purification system that is renewable without going to the store for filters.  We built a furnace to make activated charcoal to use with sand (which is in abundance).  We have most of the purification system already assembled and ready for food grade 55 gal barrels.

If we join a group, we will need at least 1-2 acres to build and live on. We want to help others do the same, we also want to work on the common area preparing it for the group for when it all falls apart.

I am learning more every day and by no means have even scratched the surface so I want to learn all I can from others as well.

We have started converting our lights over to LED lighting, 12v rolls of strip lights in the old 120v light fixtures.  With changes in electrical consumption we have cut our usage in half over the last year getting ready to switch to solar and wind with battery storage.  I am leaving the old 120v system in place so I can take the new system with me.

I have a wife, two sons, (23 & 31) a daughter-in-law, daughter (26) with 3 year old son all in better than average health.  We also have friends who want to go with us as time will permit them to do so.

No medications required for any of us as we use essential oils, herbs and supplements and hopping to start grow a lot of what we will need.  I am looking forward to learning more on how to make tinctures and our own E oils.  As well as canned and fermented foods(the more of this the less refrigeration needed).   We are all on board for this.

We thought we had a place but it didn’t work out so we need to get out of the city.  We currently live in a highly populated area in an irrigated desert which is running out of water.  When power is gone, the water will be gone as will civil order.

I am a Army Vet 73 to 77 was an E5 Motor Sgt in Schweinfurt, Germany.

We have construction experience, electrical, plumbing, welding, machine, metal buildings & roofs (one retro fit roof the size of two foot ball fields 82′ up), mechanic of both gas and diesel, solar hot water system, semi truck driver, some reloading experience and equipment, certified gun smith (passed a test), canning experience with canning equipment and much more.

I have worked relief on two hurricanes working almost 30 days with each one.  So I have seen total destruction, civil disorder, rioting, marshal law with state troopers and national guard.  I’ve also seen families who were desperate and not prepared at all along with families who never missed a beat as they were ready for the natural disaster that hit.  I lived at a mission base 13 years ago with my oldest son for two months in the Amazon without power so we ate meat only when we had caught or killed it.

Eleven years ago we lived in a camper for one year on the road along the eastern coast from Niagara Falls, along the outer bank islands to Beaumont Texas then on to El Paso, down to Las Cruces, N.M, then from Sholo to Sahuarita, Arizona while homeschooling my two youngest.

We are debt free and looking to be in a group with christian values to connect with and then relocate to, which will not be a quick process as we will need to get to know each other (although time is short).  Don’t need decoder rings but security is an important point before we consider joining forces with others.  We are not looking for a group to join but one to be a part of to form friendship and trust where we cover each others back or 6 as some say.

We have served the Lord for 23 years full time without a paying full time job so we do not have a nest egg or 401K so if you are looking for someone with a lot of money look somewhere else.  If you would like a Godly relationship with a hard working and honest family then we are open to more communications as to how we could fit together.  We can support ourselves and are not looking for a free ride.

If you want to talk about someday maybe doing something then please find someone who is looking to someday maybe doing something to talk to.

If you are ready to act now, I have much more to share but will do so in a more private way.  So contact me then we can talk privately.  Email me and I will send you my phone number.

Hi ladies and gentlemen. I’m currently wondering if any of you would like to start a group or a family to help one another out. Everyone has their own skill set to contribute to the team. I would like to know simple things about you if you decide that you want this. For example, How old are you?, Do you have a wife or kids?, And what can you contribute to a group?. I have a feeling this could be something great if we get the right people. Send me an E Mail if you would like to talk. Chillman34 [at] yahoo [dot] com

We are blessed to live on our East Texas 50+ acre homestead full-time, to spend every day molding and shaping it’s potential into reality. As a family, we have decided that we would like to offer the opportunity for certain folks to become a part of our community. We have discussed a few potential options and welcome ideas, because every situation is different. The benefits of a full-time homestead without the massive down payment, 30yr mortgage, 3+hour daily commute and 60hr farm work week. In addition, we offer the opportunity to build camaraderie, to develop and enhance our sustainability skill-set…to become a community BEFORE an event. This won’t be for everyone – It will require background checks, initial public meetings, time and financial investments.
Mister is a former Marine, law enforcement officer and firearms instructor with 25+yrs of experience. Missus is an IT Professional by day, and homestead supermom by night. A high school senior and fourth grader are cheerful farm hands. Extended family includes Army Ranger and Trauma Nurse. Dogs, barn kitty, chickens, ducks…there are always animals! We are a typical Christian family that loves to laugh, hike, watch movies, etc. We work very hard, and we try to play just as hard! We also ensure our family and our farm are prepared for any eventuality. You can email us info [at] txexitstrategy [dot] com or visit that site for more info.

My wife and I are looking for a group to join forces with. If we can’t find anyone we think is going in the right direction and we feel comfortable with (reciprocal of course) we will start a group. We are interested in living full-time in a secure and 100% self-sufficient small community. We have many skills and resources. We have excellent property already set up as an adequate bug-out location, but it doesn’t have enough arable land to support more than a few families in a sustainable way. We can get more, no big deal, but do we want to foot the bill for everyone? Not really, and if you’re not invested, you’re not as likely to be committed. Of course, we recognize there are other ways to be invested than financially, and many people simply don’t have the cash. So to us, a significant factor would be ownership.

The thing that bothers me most about other people is extremism. I mean that in general, not specifically the way the word is thrown around in the media these days. So I don’t want to go to any extremes and say that everyone must own land or that no one may own land. I believe it is workable to have a mix. We like private ownership, but that may not be what works for everyone. Many people prefer to rent and avoid the responsibilities of ownership. Some are in the middle; willing to own their home but unwilling to maintain the grounds such as condo ownership. The right legal structure could certainly allow for, and protect the people involved in any number of scenarios. Tennessee law not only allows, but encourages common interest developments. We would definitely be looking for (or creating) a good, fair legal structure.

We envision a group of 50 or so on a compound of 50 or so acres which is in turn surrounded by about 100 acres or more of forest.

We are not particularly religious, and we have no bias against anyone.

We are not militaristic, but we will defend our community. We consider concealment to be the first line of defense, deterrence the second, and overwhelming force the last.

We believe in the fundamental principles of the U.S. Constitution. We aren’t interested in dictatorships, theocracies, socialism, communism, etc.

We believe we can produce everything needed in a permanently sustainable way by carefully balanced group members.

We don’t want to do anything illegal.

If you already have such community, we would be very interested.

If you are interested in throwing in with us, we can offer land (52 acres) for your use now. As I said, we are looking for more, so I can’t say what the future might hold. I can say that we are ethical and fair.

Are you REALLY ready for the Event your intuition warning you about?

  • How ready are you if it happened next month?
  • Have you thought about safety and skills in numbers? We have.

The facts and your intuition about what is getting ready to happen can’t be denied…we are heading for a major life-altering event.

Then join a group that is serious about preparing for an event.  There is safety and skills in numbers. We have been preparing for several years to shelter our membership and sustain our existence for many years afterwards at a secluded and secure location with full-spectrum provisions for long-term survivability.

We are an organized multi-family prepper retreat located in central North Carolina.  Our membership comes from Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. We don’t live there–we just prepare it for the day we know we will have to live there. We are not sure what will take place or when but we know it will. It is not a matter of if…it is a matter of when.

The 50-acre retreat has a deep well with pristine water (with a backup manual pump), a pond and a fast-flowing creek. Deer, wild turkey and rabbit are abundant. We raise livestock such as rabbits, chickens, goats and ducks.  We have several gardens (raised beds and tilled ground).   We grow food for consumption and medicinal plants as well. We also have a fruit orchard and numerous fruit bushes.  As a back-up, we have been planting natural growing non-cultivated food sources such as tubers, blackberries, etc.  Our objective is to be self-sufficient when we have to occupy our retreat.  We are also constructing a greenhouse to cultivate vegetables, sprouts and seedlings for longer growing seasons.

We have recently added numerous solar panels to the ones we had stored.  We have a dedicated team working on Energy to determine exact power needs.

It is our belief that there is safety in numbers and a wider range of skill sets as well. We feel it is critical to store and prepare together than risk an isolated effort that cannot be defended when social order collapses. We all value our families’ safety enough to collaborate in preparing for that event.

I am a Vietnam Vet who served with an infantry unit as part of five years in the US Army. I have also served as CEO of three successful companies in my career so I know how to organize people and projects.

We have organized a retreat community made up of hard-working and dedicated folks preparing for an event.  Many of our membership are former military.

The retreat includes a small medical clinic as our membership includes several doctors, a RN and an EMT. We are prepared for many medical emergencies or situations.

In addition to the medial staff listed above, our members also include several electrical engineers, an auto mechanic, a teacher, retired infantryman, a competition shooter/fisherman, a seamstress, contractor, a former SWAT member and trained aviation mechanic and assembler. We have formed teams to address security/weaponry, medical care, food production, food preparation, communications, construction and energy.  Each team has a Team Leader and organizational charter.

Our motto is: Plan…Prepare…Practice.

Our three-person Leadership Team (all former military) sets executive policies and provides operational day-to-day decisions.  Issues that involve long-term implications or significant allocation of resources are bought before the group for discussion and input.  We do not run our organization like a commune or home owners association —but more like a corporate or quasi-military organization.  If you are looking for a pure democracy with extended deliberations and a vote on everything while progress is measured at a snail’s pace… pass us by.  If you are looking for a group to join that you can maintain a passive enrollment, store food with your “name on the list” for “when the balloon goes up”… we are not the group for you.  We are looking for team-oriented individuals that bring useful skills and positive “can do” attitudes to the table with committed families to actively participate in and further develop what we have achieved so far in the following areas:

  • Operational facilities and extensive sustainable survival provisions maintained in a high state of readiness with the services of a full-time caretaker and group projects conducted at regular meetings.
  • Personal and group training in sustainable living skills (gardening, livestock, construction, food preservation/preparation), operational security / defensive skills, and medical/TCCC (tactical combat casualty care) training.
  • Solid relationships between members based on trust, competence, and contributions to the group over an extended period of time. Everyone in the community contributes from their resources and skill sets to make us a stronger group.

We hold monthly Gatherings which are also Skills Development and Retreat Building Workshops one weekend every month. During a typical weekend we conduct numerous training sessions and defense simulations. Firearms and security training is part of every session and members are encouraged to seek out individual firearms training as well.  These workshops include working on developing the retreat as well as developing our skill sets. Many of our members have attended homesteading skill and survival training programs at conferences to improve skills. We have a 360+ page operations manual to support our members.

We also developed a separate 200-page Retreat Activation & Security Protocol that has been reviewed and critiqued by several retired military officers and several security systems experts. We have a 25-meter and 125-meter pistol and rifle range and provide training in basic handguns, rifle and shotgun use at every Gathering.  We have several trained instructors.  We also have an extensive CCTV camera system for surveillance with several monitoring stations. Our onsite security is 24/7-365.  We take our security seriously.  After all, if you can’t defend it…it is not yours.  Ours is defensible.

Additional training topics we have presented have included foot patrolling techniques, small unit tactics, first aid and trauma medical care, compass reading and orienting, gardening, battery storage, food packaging, water purification, alternative energy devices, running & gunning, cheese sealing, EMP protection, herbs and homeopathy, essential oils, sanitation, candle making, tactical gear, operating earth moving equipment, solar energy, slaughtering and dressing of domestic livestock, and survival skills, etc.

We have accommodation cabins, RV spaces, a medical clinic, 2 laundry rooms, a well-house with backup manual well pump, a 3-room bath house with showers and laundry facilities, community center, provisions storage area, commercial kitchen and communications center/operations room. We have a large amount of stored water, solar energy, propane supply and wood burning as well. We have prepared for EMP with multiple precautions to include multi-layer nesting of all electronics within Faraday Cages.

We have installed a four-stage air filtration unit (with large bank of deep-cycle marine batteries) for our fallout shelter that can remove 99.99% of the impurities in the event of a NBC or fallout event. Every member has to have a functioning gas mask and fresh filter.  Our fallout shelter is self-contained and able to sustain the community members for weeks, if needed. We also have calibrated radiation monitoring equipment, dosimeters and hazmat suits for clean-up and outside monitoring.

To support our communications center, 5 of our members have Ham licenses.  Our communications center will monitor radio traffic and stay connected with a network of other ham operators when the event occurs. We also have our own internal switchboard system with hard-wired phone system.  As a precaution, we have duplicate equipment for everything—back-ups to back-ups..

The governance bodies are: an Ops Leader, Assistant Ops Leaders (Leadership Team) and a Community Council (made of adult members).

Our members rent space (RV space or cabins) at $250/month to pay for on-site caretaker/security personnel and utilities to man 24-7.  We all share in the development of the community through work every monthly Gathering. We don’t occupy the retreat until an event has occurred. Our members can also use the property for R&R to enjoy hunting, fishing, relaxing as we are surrounded by a large area with plentiful game.  We do have a one-time membership fee of $750 that is non-refundable. We have one cabin available as well as a several RV spaces (RV has full range of sewer, water and power hook-ups).

We are looking for capable and willing folks to help with physical requirements of post-event such as energy (solar, etc.) patrolling, gardening, wood gathering, hunting, etc. We are also seeking additional skills to add to our mix.  No anti-government types, militants or racists.  We are Constitutionalists and despite a major concern in how our government is run—we are pro-America.

Prospective members go through a vetting process that includes email interviews, telephone interviews, face-to-face interviews, and a background and criminal check.

Although we are secular, we are principally Christian but will consider all religions (or non-religious types).  We are not “Bible-thumpers” but have deep moral, spiritual and ethical beliefs.

We review our mission, vision and core values at every meeting and have a 12-page set of rules to govern behavior.

If you have been prepping for a while and want to affiliate with a like-minded group in North Carolina, then ask for an application.

The retreat is ready to be occupied by members at a moment’s notice. We keep the candle burning 24/7.  You could be one of those able to flee the perils of the decline of social order for the security of a small well-trained, organized, and prepared community.  How important is your family’s welfare and security? What are their lives worth to you?  Think about the advantages of a well-organized group when it comes to the safety and welfare of your loved ones when everything turns upside down. It is like owning an insurance policy you never want collected or that spare tire you keep in your trunk.

Don’t be caught in your house as the armed gangs are going door-to-door pillaging.

We have been told by several TV production companies that have approached us for filming that we are one of the most organized groups they have come across.  Then why haven’t you seen us on TV?  It is simple…our OpSec and obscurity is far more important than ‘15 minutes of fame.’  We are preppers–not food hoarders or entertainers.

If you want to see a video of our group, then go to YouTube and search for “Tranquility Ridge r2”.  You should get a sense of our group from the video. We are serious folks and have a mission that is reviewed every meeting.

If your family’s security and safety is critical to you and you live in North Carolina, Virginia or South Carolina, contact us today. Contact me via email: sgtprepper2 (at) gmail (dot) com to request an application and list of further requirements.  We are committed—are you?

I am a single 22 year old female looking for a group or tribe to join. I have a smart, young German shephard that I am currently training with to run long distances

I just left my job, in search of a group of like minded individuals, preparing for the times ahead.

I would like to note that I am a Christian, and I believe that following Gods commands and trying to walk like Jesus, as a disciple, is the calling of my life.

Although I have little money to offer, I have much more.

I am very strong, and  quick to learn. I grew up hunting, fishing, camping, backpacking, hiking, boating, snowboarding, and getting lost. I am comfortable and thrive in nature. I love to build, serve others and the community, garden, teach, read, write, play and perform music, and share the love of Christ. More than all of those gifts, I have been gifted with an incredible faith of assuredness and optimism.

I am hoping to travel out of California very soon, towards a land and group dedicated to preparing for the worlds upcoming state.

If you have any ideas for me, comments, suggestions, or questions, feel free to write me, and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.

Peace

les

Family of six maybe seven looking to move with 30 to 60 days notice.

Warning: This post is older than 12months. Information contained in this post may no longer be current.

Hello.

A friend and I are looking for an active prepping group and or other peppers’ in the Nashville, Antioch area or Davidson County to either join or network with. We are both new to prepping, but have vast camping, and hiking skills. We started to get into prepping from articles and documentary shows (you know the one) and also from the age we all live in. a blind man can see the writing on the wall.

We are both southern boys with the southern mind set of self-reliance, hunting, fishing and outdoors common knowledge. Also as an asset I am ex-military – US army infantry / NY army National Guard 42ID and 10th mountain1987 to 1996- with weapons and equipment experience, and woodland survival training, escape and evasion. My friend is not EX/MIL, but is very willing to go the distance.

My friend is a native of Tennessee. I am a good old boy from southern Mississippi. I have been living in Nashville for nearly 18 years now. We both live in the Nashville/ Antioch area. What started us on this venture was talking on the hiking trails we try and do every month in long hunter state park. Being self-reliant southerner’s one thing came to another, and we discovered we both had an interest in prepping. We tried to star our own group with just family, but for reasons we all know it’s hard to get everyone on board. I even started a prepping blog online (http://sartan1.wix.com/the-sentinel ), but so far no one seems to know, or care that it’s there. So in the end we decided to look for a group that’s already started to join, or others who have the same mindset as we.

What we can bring is experience, knowledge, dedication and a drive to face the coming storm that is the world we live in today. What we do not know we are willing to learn. I have been out of the loop for nearly 10 years due to a leg injury, but old habits die hard. My wife is on board with us in this, but she can help out rarely due to physical limitations and handicap.

Our concerns are primarily the new Madrid fault, terrorism/EMP/solo flair effects on power grid, tornados, flood and finical collapse. We are not crazy, anti gov/race motivated. We are looking to be self-reliant in the face of adversity.

If we sound like a fit into your nitch, please drop me a line. It’s hard to go it alone. United we stand, divide we fall.
