Hello,
My wife and I are interested in networking with prepared folks in the Portsmouth, NH area. We are relatively new to prepping; however, we both come from practical backgrounds and view prepping as just another set of skills and supplies to acquire. I am a civil engineer (EIT, UNH grad) with a strong practical background in electronics, machining/fabrication, and construction. My wife and I were both homeschooled until college and plan to homeschool ourselves when little ones come along. We both have a deep love of liberty and the principles that made this country great.
Our goal is to form or join a group of like-minded people in the Portsmouth/seacoast area that can call upon each other when things get tough and form a network of extra “eyes and ears” as things get more complicated. We have a bug-out plan to another region of Southern NH, but recognize that our current residence is our home and will be our “Plan A” except in the most dire of circumstances.
I can bring knowledge and equipment to the table in the following areas: engineering, construction (heavy and light), electronics (practical and theory), water treatment, radiation safety, RF/lasers, automotive, firearms, reloading, machining, and I have competencies just about anything technical. We are trying to grow vegetables in an apartment situation and love innovating on a budget! I am not an outdoorsmen by many people’s standards, but enjoy a day’s work outside building, cutting wood, or fixing something. My wife and I would love to get to know folks with expertise in outdoor survival, storing food, Ham radio, hunting/shooting, theoretical physics, or any other topic, really. We love to learn!
New range buddies always welcome, as are recommendations on where to go in southern NH to hone skills with a rifle.
