Hello there fellow preppers!
I live in Rochester New York, and am looking to meet other preppers in my general area of Western New York. I am in early stages of prepping this time around…although I was all set for Y2K. And was fairly well set after Sept 11th. Ashamed to say I let my guard down a bit for a while. Just my daughter and myself.
I am looking to get some land in rural area, build small retreat. I am handy with tools, firearms, and wildlife reabbing of birds. I am an artist — have good mind for design and creative ideas. Good “outside the box” thinker.
I am garden enthusiast, and have background in nutrition, natural healing, astronomy, and geology…and a non-useful degree in English Literature!
Look forward to hearing from my Western New York Prepper Neighbors

please help me i have a family and all my friends think im going crazy none of them have there eyes open as i do. i would like to have a place i can get to and start making the preperations needed building bunker, storing food and water and getting supplies if you would be willing to help me and my family i can be reached at kramnraf [at] aol [dot] com i have some skills with different things building, gardening, hunting and lots of information that may be needed.
I know what you mean. Sometimes my hubby looks at me sideways when he sees me storing water in the closets or hording medical supplies. He understands, hes on board with my paranoia. But most people are completely oblivious to what can happen. I hope I would have a wonderful neighbor support group if anything should happen, havent spoke to any of them about it, because they would then think I’m the loon down the street. But Im scared of the iminent threat of the horde from the city. I want a way out and a place to go if needed.
Greetings from Buffalo!
I am ashamed to say I have no money and very few useful skills. It’s just me and my adult disabled daughter here on the East Side (the bad part of town) planning our Alamo last stand. I am a graphic artist/screen printer, but I do have some rough carpentry skills. Currently, we are in the planning/learning stages and are concentrating on our food and water stockpiles at home. Right now I am gathering the materials needed for a rainwater collection system. Since I have limited resources – as much as I’d like to have a bug-out retreat, I don’t think it’s going to happen for us, BUT suggestions are welcome.
I would suggest getting the heck out of the bad part of town. We are in Cheektowaga and i know it wont be a good part of town for long if tshtf. I would love to move out into the boonies and have a retreat but i dont believe it will happen, lack of funds. So i hope for the best and prepare for the worst, try to at least. I am also or was a graphic artist, what a crappy non recesion proof job, ive been putting my energy into building a nice new garden and educating myself on seed saving and edibles to grow.
Hello folks. For the Western NY’ers my buddy and I have started a group which can be checked out here: http://www.wnysurvivalgroup.com and see what you think. Feel free to email us from there if you wish too.
Also in Rochester suburbs. Combat veteran that can provide security, training, fieldcraft survival in any climate with or without out a retreat, as well as hunting/fishing. Looking for a few with complimentary skill sets for sustainability if Rome burns. Its just good to have a plan.

I am a professional at a fortune 500 company, have a stable brain (not a nutjob), but do not like the vibe of where we are at and think things are fragile.
Happy to plan with like-minded folks, but am not a conspiracy theorist; so won’t be open to talking aliens with anyone. Happy to help those out that need some direction as it applies to my skillset.
Hi -
I’m also from Rochester. I’ve been prepping for awhile. Like you, I’m with a Fortune 500 compnay, and I am not into politics pr conspiracy. I just believe in options, and prepping gives me options others don’t have. Let me know if you’d like to chat. You can reach my via email at msnrochny [at] aol [dot] com
I’m in Irondequoit. Plenty of preppers are around the Rochester area…the trick is meeting up with them and developing a rapport. Just joined this site and poking around a bit.
