Here we are in Polk county and I cannot find anyone is on here trying to connect with like minded individuals. Where are the Winter Haven 9-12′s, the Ridge Patriots, Lakeland 9-12′S etc. I have found survival groups in Tampa, South Florida ,North Florida,West Central Florida, Palm Coast, Melbourne, etc. but nothing organized in Central Florida. We are looking for like minded individuals/families, who have a need and desire to connect and maybe start forming some sort of network for a bug out scenario. Meeting places need to be centralized, as we need to be close enough to connect routinely, and closer to home. I check this site almost daily, and the responses are few and far between. Is this not a good site for organizing? If I am missing something, will someone let me in on where I should be looking? If we plan a get together event, will anyone come?

I’m in Orlando. I would love to meet up with locals at a certral location too. It anyone else ever contacts you let me know. I think the Florida forum is where we are suppose to put meet ups, but I am not sure. I am totally computer illiterate! I’m a single, retired female Law Enforcement officer. I’ve been prepping for about two years. I’m hoping to eventually sell my house here in Orlando and retire to the Northwest, where I am originally from. But it’s always good to have plans B & C if plan A can’t get done soon enough. I would love to get together. If you are near Orlando, and have the time, we could meet up somewhere for coffee. Being retired, I have nothing but time. I hate being retired, incase you can’t tell.
If you don’t mind the drive, I’m about an hour north of Tampa, and an hour west of Orlando (don’t want to be much more specific). We are a family with a farm, and we’re working toward self-sufficiency. If you have anymore trouble with finding like-minded individuals, just let me know. I know of some out your way.
I am still working on finding a network, I think I see your posts over at the Tampa site from time to time. If you could pass along the others, I would appreciate it.

Hello I am currently located in Haines City and if anyone would not mind the the drive which I assure you will be worth it I can train you on how to find food and medicine in the wild and even in your own backyard. Local forest areas in FL have plenty to offer but this knowledge isn’t widely known on the internet.
I even know of a rare type of Sarsaparilla here in FL which is very beneficial for the body but it is only a dime compared to the goldmine of resources we have here.
I also can teach about how to fashion bows and arrows from good trees, sewing bags for dried herbs and other resources and how to find underground foods here in FL which in some areas are very abundant.
Also I can help with cleaning and disinfecting water (even lake water which may have to be used in the near future) as well as how to clean dishes and silverware with natural resources (if you are concerned with modern chemicals harming the environment.) I have been willingly living off the wild for about three years now and I assure you that FL has much to offer but this information is not found on the internet.
Orlando, Lakeland, Lake Wales, Winter Haven, Bartow, Haines City and nearly all other regions in Central Florida have natural gold I can help you discover and teach to your neighbors.
I am very skilled in medicine making as well, from treating children to elders.
As for food, well I mainly depend on he food that I know of that is underground and many varieties above ground.
