Hi

i am looking for like minded (beginner) peppers to meet up, exchange ideas, share resources, share tips and tricks. I am currently located in Orange County CA

I see a lot of people doing the right thing, prepping smartly and carefully.

What i don’t see is people joining forces. I see different strengths in different cities, one person has army training, another has water source, Another has unlimited food resources etc….Combining brain cells and resources would mean you/we would have an abundance of ALL resources and a 24/7 support group in a helpful giving community which all give you peace of mind. If anyone is looking for the same, write me a PM.

Willing to relocate

Thanks for reading this post.

Hello,

My name is Kurt and I’m a Master Electrician with a small Electrical Contracting company in SW Michigan. I’m interested in finding, and joining, a prepper/homesteading community. I currently live in a somewhat large city (Kalamazoo, MI) and I’m not in the “good part” of the city. So when I hear advice like “come out of her my people” it really hits home.

As I mentioned, I’ve been prepping food for a while now (going on two years). However, I also have LOTS of tools and equipment from all my years in the construction business. I have several cordless drill/drivers, impact drivers, hammer drills, sawzalls, circular saws, and flashlights. In corded tools I have all of those mentioned in the cordless style (except flashlights) plus a couple of grinders, an oscillating tool, saw/sander, a belt sander, two palm sanders, two shop vacs, a router, several heat guns, and several other things as I’m sure I’m forgetting some tools. I also have all kinds of hand tools, socket sets, pipe wrenches, hammers, sledge hammers, axess, an electric chainsaw and a gas powered one, two kerosene heaters, a propane “bullet” heater, fish tapes, fish chains, fish sticks, and fishing poles (tackle too). You get the point…I have just about everything I could possibly need in the way of tools. That includes several ladders of all types and sizes, and everything you can think of in terms of gardening/lawn working tools; shovels, rakes, hoes, etc. Also hoses, sprinklers, fertilizers, clamps, connectors, adapters, valves, etc, etc. I have a plethora of tools and equipment, and I would be bringing it all…eventually. I’m sure it will take several trips over some time to complete this relocation.

My current target location is SW Arkansas in the Arkansas Ozarks. It’s in a geologically stable region of the United States. It’s in the Ozark Mountains, so it has the necessary elevation I was looking for in terms of flooding and defensive positions. There’s a very abundant supply of clean drinking water in the form of springs, rivers, and lakes. And the forested areas have plenty of wildlife, so fish and game are available. And there are not any big cities anywhere close to the area I was considering, so less chance of the desperate, lawless, hungry hoards showing up at your door. The winters are mild, especially compared to my home in Michigan, and that was definitely a consideration when I was figuring out “bug out locations” to move to.

With all that said, I’m still very open to suggestions, and  by no means have I made up my mind that the Ozarks are the only place to consider relocating to. However, wherever else I consider moving to will have to meet most, if not all, of the above considerations to qualify as a place I would be interested in landing.

So do you have suggestions? Do you have a place that’s looking for top-notch potential members with a lot to offer the community? I would love to set up a time to come for a visit to look at potential communities, and to have you check me out as well.

Please contact me via email or directly by text/call at (269) 312-0331.

Thank you,

Kurt

I am looking to make contact with a group of preppers and individuals to potentially work together before and after an event in order to help take care of our families. Doing this alone is ineffective and I would like to meet some people and if nothing else, learn new tips, tricks and skills.

Hi everyone, I’m new to the site and in search of a group in Luzerne County Pennsylvania.

I’m currently looking for a new homestead, Im expanding my preps and looking for like minded people to learn from.

I bring 22 years of military background, carpentry skills, medical training, process food storage, Bush craft and other skill sets. Mind you I’m opened minded and need to learn a lot more.

Perhaps someone out there can help me. Looking forward to meeting you.

This is my first post ever on one of these forums:

I can’t help but notice on these Prepper sites how many people who are attempting in forming groups or, dreaming of forming a group. We wish you success. We encourage you to take action now.

We are now at the tail end of our Prepper plans, its been a long road and a good deal of expense.

The past 15 years has been dedicated in developing our 120 acre ranch to be prepared for the worst and, It has not been an easy process. Its taking us far more time than I would have ever imagined to put this together well enough to insure the safety of our group. With over 1.8 million invested I can say that we are almost ready for anything….but not completely.

We have 16 bedrooms on site and have just about everything we need. from airplanes, drones, wells, 4 acres of organics, green houses, aqua culture, full-time organic farmers etc. to mention just a few. If I were to list out where we are on our project it takes 42 pages…..

I’ve listed where we are and where we are not – All of the information is in our membership proposal.

We have eight family slots left to complete our group. This is the first time we have looked outside for members and additional financing so I am not sure if what kind of interest level this post will generate. But here goes…..

Posting here was not in our plans- Its simply more attention than we wanted. We thought we could finish up this project on our own by now. With global issues getting more strange and uncertain everyday we are now looking for outside help to put this project to bed ASAP.

With this post, we are just starting to seek a few qualified members or families that are willing to invest. we really do not require your personal time as just about everything on the ranch is complete. What we require is money for the final items. (Family slot is: four persons to a family as we refer to a family membership)

We are also pet friendly as we have heaps of farm animals

With just eight slots left, we seek interested people with the ability to invest in our project. If, you are simply curious to how much we seek then you are most likely not our candidate. We seek eight families with the resources who are prepared to commit. Our family buy in plan is low cost- It is simply the cost for us to finish up and, not an attempt to recoup our investment.

If you believe that our group may be a place where you would fit in and find safe place to take your family we encourage you to contact us.

This is an opportunity to make a small investment and simply show up when all gos bad- everything is here and your bug out is stocked. This is not a pie in the sky group forming, its a project nearly complete.

I hope that everyone on this site finds what they are seeking. And to those who live in the city, that you  have made appropriate plans for your future safety.

Finally, anyone that can suggest to us additional places where we could post this request to reach our additional members – It would be appreciated- Thank you.

***************UPDATE December 25, 2018************

Still moving forward, adding a brewery and winery to the project. Ive still yet to find like minded people. All of my friends of course continue to tell me that my place is where they will come. But I tell them no- Either help me with the project, invest anything- Time, Resources etc but do not just show up because you do not have a place to go.

If you are serious about wanting a place that you can go to if things get bad then be serious enough to invest in at the very least your own food.

Hiring two full time gardners again this spring for the greenhouse and the garden

Added a few wood burners, bio char operation and a lot more since my last post

Hello,

I am a prepper from just southeast of Detroit.

I have been prepping for the better part of 12 years now I am well versed in a variety of skills and have stock-piled a great deal of food, water, and supplies. I am well versed in firearms use, training, reloading, and simple gunsmithing.

What I am looking for:                                                                                                            I am looking for a small group of people who believe in being prepared for whatever life may throw our way but who also want to lead as normal a life as is possible. Anyone interested should be a capable person who has a good amount of supplies laid in already I am not looking for any particular skill sets at this moment but neither am I looking to train someone from the ground up. I am looking for local people only who are willing to meet up on a regular basis to be determined.

If you are interested then please contact me through the comments section let me know briefly your age range, prepping experience, and the general area you live in. If we look to be compatible then I will give you an E-Mail address and we can discuss things in detail.

Just an update for the Oregon page;

A little about us;

The purpose of OTG is to develop the skills, mindset, and tactics required to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities is an emergency situation.

We also try to take the opportunity to make the most out of our time together when we are training, attending classes, and meetings as opportunities to build upon other skills; skills like first aid, communications, bush craft and camp cooking

What’s involved to join? In a word participation. Aside from the cost of your travel to and from event and whatever equipment you decide to buy we have no dues, or class fees. There are no minimum equipment requirements. if there is a cost associated with an event like a camp site fee it will be noted well ahead of time. Loaner equipment is often available. Unless noted OTG is a family friendly environment. Kids are welcome. Classes occur at least once a month, usually on or around the 3rd Saturday, and most often take place in Linn. Marion, Polk, Benton and Lane Counties, classes usually last from 2-6 hours depending on content. As often as possible we do overnight camping trips usually locally.

What we are; a small diverse group of folks sharing and developing critical survival and preparedness skills in a supported team environment.
We are not a militia or political group. We will not condone, encourage or support illegal activity. This includes, but is not limited to a “call to arms”, treasonous activity or overthrow of our elected officials by force of arms. Racism in any form will not be tolerated. Nor are we a forum for political discussions.

I have a lot of equipment and firearms and am willing to provide security and training to the right people. I am highly intelligent and have seen pretty much everything as far as planet earth. to try and pull something shady on my po-dink ass would be very stupid. i’m a very honest person and am very sincere in what I post on this website. i’m weird in that I detest vehicles and phones. I don’t like the internet much but have to use it to get shit accomplished! in my opinion the pony express should still be running and everybody should be wearing six-shooters, and there should be frontier justice!!! hit me up if you want to chew the fat type thing.

We have two private apartments in our older comfortable house on one acre. We are 20 miles from the continental divide and 4 miles from the Missouri river and three lakes. The town is Helena which is 30K people and the state capital, we are 12 miles out and on the fringe of the woods and road less area.

There are job and education opportunities in the area and some great fishing and hunting. My wife and I have skills ranging from mechanical, welding, RN nurse, alternative healing and herbs.  check out some of my posts on the forum connected with this site, I have been working a lot this summer so I haven’t posted as much lately.

We are looking for someone who has a means of income and is interested in growing a garden and sharing and learning things. you would be expected to pay rent for your private apartment to help pay for the house and cost of operation. The apartment is also available as a place to stage your prep supplies.

We also have room for a motor home or RV. This would be an opportunity for someone who wants a spot outside of a major metropolitan area that is a day or so away from us. This could be Billings MT., Salt lake city, Spokane Wa.

We are raising a teenager and feel that children are a major reason for persevering in hard times.

I truly believe hard times are coming either in a economic depression or more serious problems.  Give me a shout at [email protected]  I will be checking weekly.

I live in New Jersey and am new to prepping. My family and I are in search of a like minded  group in our area to build a trust and share knowledge with. Like minded being the key words. Although we are all categorized as preppers, our motives, ethical beliefs and ultimate goals aren’t always the same. Would love to be able to get a bit of guidance on our journey. We are constantly seeking information and learning as much as we can. Also practicing what we learn, of course. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello! I am from the Denton area and I am interested in starting, or joining a group.

I unfortunately do not have a homestead or bugout, but I do have necessary supplies incase of a catastrophe. My teammates must have their own bugout/homestead, and be willing to share their place with other teammates.

In return, teammates will share valuable supplies with the group, share any skills they have, and be willing to defend the group as a family.

I will not arrive empty handed, and will most certainly have items to help all of us. I need others with the same mindset to reach out to me soon. [email protected] is where I reply back instantly.

I will contact informed Preppers so we can create a group with many knowledgeable people.

If somebody has a group, which relates to the description I gave, and preferably are Christians then reach out to me soon. I am young, but have knowledge to help in case of an emergency.

Furthermore, if anyone is interested in starting a group, has their own homestead, copy my email and reach out to me as soon as possible.

This is an outreach to secured preppers who still wish to become hooked up with an established group. I am part of such an established group and we have room for a few others who are are good character, well stocked or able to become such in short order. Sorry but this is not for beginners rather mature preppers looking to join up with other mature preppers in case of an emergency. You know what we are driving at. Level headed and confident.

You may contact be via this site as a first step.

Are you looking for a safe place when times get tough?
Do you take prepping seriously and are you willing to go all the way, holding nothing back?

I have been on this journey of preparing for anything for over 2 decades, so I take this very seriously and I don’t have time to be wasting it on those who are not willing to work hard and give their all.

I had originally been looking for a small community to join, but I have recently inherited a small parcel of land in the county which is suitable for a maximum number of 6 people. This land has been in my family for 3 generations now and this is the land I grew up on so it is very important to me that only the right people come here.
I am currently seeking a few good people who have the right mindset, and are willing to work towards a common goal of self sufficiency and self reliance, instead of relying on the State for your sustenance, If this is you, then I would like to speak with you.

I have already begun the work to turn both the front and back yards into a small food forest with fruit trees and bushes as well as nut trees and of course a nice variety of vegetables combined with lots of nice wild edibles. I also have a small field which will be capable of producing enough protein rich meat and eggs for everyone, but will need to build the infrastructure for that before putting any animals in there. All of this is possible but since I am just one man I am only able to do so much so fast. There are already 2 wells on the property and some basic fencing. There is electricity here but at some point I want to go completely solar.

While this small group of people will not be a religious based community so as not to alienate anyone, I will insist that those who come here will be of the right quality and character.
I will not insist that those who get involved live here on the land as long as they are willing to invest both time and resources to making this happen. If you plan to live on the land you will need to have enough of an income to be able to help pay the bills and feed yourself (unless you wish to eat as a group) as well as investing in resources to develop the land. If you don’t really have the time to come regularly and help make things happen but are willing to invest resources, that will still secure you a place here.

I do not have time for anyone who carries a lot of baggage or suffers from psychological disorders. I am in no way interested in dealing with anyone else’s drama. I have worked very hard to get rid of as much of the drama in my life as is possible, and now I insist that this remains a “Drama Free Zone”.

Initial interviews will be done over the phone, and you will be asked about everything from your political ideologies to “what if”. Anyone seriously considered will be required to come visit and spend a few days to a couple weeks if possible to see if this is really where you want to be. After that, if we decide that you will come here, there will be a probationary period where you will live here and participate in everything being done, before a final decision is made. I have been involved in helping to set up a few communities so I know what works and what doesn’t. As I said earlier I have been on this journey of preparing for anything for over 2 decades, so I take this very seriously.
If you’re interested, drop me a message and leave your email address.

Let’s talk.

Starting over for a 3rd time.
Lost everything I had due to situations, involving my grown children & husband. This time I’m needing to relocate just to get distance between us.
My husband isn’t a nice person, especially when drunk.
My children understand that I want to move to the countryside, but believe that I’m better off in the city, because I have never learned to drive.
I am in my early 50s, still having hope for my dreams from childhood to become reality. I don’t have very much preps, also never got the chance to learn skills by doing, which is how I learn best.
I have memories of my brother taking me hunting, cleaning what we caught, showing me how to build a simple shelter, all on our Papaw’s farm in Flaherty, KY. My Dad put me, at the age of 13, in charge of the wood stove while he was at work. He had me & my sisters handle the wood after he chopped it. Dad taught me (although I’m quite rusty now) how to start & maintain the fire. Those, memories were my realities back then.
My fire inside are still burning for the life I’ve been dreaming of.

I have read a lot of people posting here as off the grid and such, but if you own land and are basing your group from there you are not off the grid. Off the grid means having the skills to pack up and go where no one knows where you are. no paper trail from land tax, land purchasing, etc.

Being able to move around quickly and efficiently is a hard skill to learn. Quickly building a shelter for the conditions you are dealing with is more work than most people think. I am ex military, trained in avoiding people. I think people who prepare their prep and store it at their home are none to bright. Martial Law gets declared and you not allowed to drive you are totally bollocked cause you cant tote it around. Looking for a few people who understand this. I have scouted several locations throughout the spring and summer. finding sites where you can get access to clean water is getting more difficult. anyways if anyone has any similar ideas hit me up

Starting prepping, now I’m just gathering items for the potential bad weather that comes our way. Have a generator, water purifier system  ( Katadyn) hand held.

I’m starting to assemble a Go Bag, I already use my EDC when out out. My bag consists of small shovel, ax, basic tools, tarp, plastic ( I use mattress wraps) these are great for sleeping warmth. Many other items that are survival minded.

It is difficult when your wife is not of the same survival thinking, she agrees on prepping , to an extent, she is not a camping person,  Hoilday Inn is her idea of camping.

Any other locals out there who are starting to be prepared, would live to hear from you.

Hello all once again. Under further realization that it very well be the final phases of people accepting new members to join their ranks. Im interested in looking up some owner financed property either north or east of cobb county ga. If a secondary home or community cant get to a chosen location within 45 mins to 1 hour tops driving, using side roads,  there is no reason to attempt to form a legitimate homestead location. If anybody is interested contact me at benteam2020 @ yahoo.com ive tried to reach out to real groups but guess the legit ones went silent. I just hit 30 and know the value of invesment and time. Time in which im not taking for granted. The property doesnt have to have a house on it just the land to build on. Like minded and responsible people are welcomed. Lunatic fringe, and overly exposed people from forums are not…

Do you have the skills to survive???

Communities on Whidbey Island need to come together and make a plan. They’re will  not be emergency help once the crap hits the fan and what I mean by crap is when there is no food or supplies left in the stores on the Island. People that are not prepared for this will be coming to you for help. Are you going to turn them away? So I am looking for like minded people to join in and share their survival peppers skills in case of a natural disaster on Whidbey Island. “BE PREPARED”

What if you were hiking on a trail or camping with some friends and went for a walk when suddenly you don’t know the way back? Do you have enough survival skill to stay put and regroup or maybe survive a night in the woods until you are found or make it back out. “What If” Do you have the skills to survive???

Survival in NY during current times is daunting as it is. Lately I’ve been having a tough time, although making due while watching my income go to pay taxes. I’ve been looking for new work, preferably a caretaker or superintendent position in ME or NH, the state’s my heart belongs. I’m 26 and still just young enough to move around and try to start somewhere fresh. As well as getting in touch with new people to share ideas for sustainable living post grid, if anyone needs my resume I figure I should ask around here. I’m a tractor and heavy equipment operator/tech by trade, but have built barns, poured concrete, installed plumbing and run conduit. I’ve got a resume and references for anyone who is interested.
