Warning: This post is older than 12months. Information contained in this post may no longer be current.

Hello, we are located 2 hours north of Spokane. Originally from Seattle, moved here years ago to get away from the heavy population. We are looking for another family or individuals to join together with us in the event of a crisis.

We have housing infrastructure in place , gardens, orchard, chickens, off-grid power, defensive positions and back up water sources. We would also be interested in hearing from other groups that are out there.

Also those in Idaho or Montana feel free to reply but please only if you live or are willing to move to within roughly 75 miles of Newport WA.

If you are interested you can email us at js47783 [at] protonmail [dot] com

Thanks

Edit – 22 Nov 2016:

I would like to add a few things for those thinking of contacting us. We don’t meet in person right away, only after learning more about each other first through emails. We also don’t give out our exact location until after we have met.

Our members our expected to have at least a year supply of food and other supplies or be willing to obtain years worth within 3 months of joining.

If you would like to contact us we prefer if you use an encrypted email address such as Protonmail or Hushmail.

  1. I have contacted this poster several times and they have not responded. Possibly they got cold feet, became paranoid or changed their mind.

    • When did you contact them the first time?

I ask because the listing is less than three weeks old, and you’ve only been a member for a day.

Especially during hunting and holiday season, it would not be unusual for somebody to go more than a week without checking the site.
      Longer still if:
      – They only check from public locations with free wifi on weekends
      – They only check from work or public locations through the typical workweek, and have taken the week + Thanksgiving to travel or work

If you sent an email, it may have been sent to Spam, or they may have disregarded it as junk depending on the subject line.

There’s a chance their SP is one that doesn’t get the PG auto notifications or dumps those in Spam, but at most that notice has been in an inbox for 24 hours, because you only sent the “how do I PM?” message yesterday.
Not everybody lives on the internet, even with a smart phone.

It’s not impossible they’re one of the ones that joins, posts and is never heard from again, but some patience is a good thing.
Or that they use an email they then forget to check.

If you attempted contact by email before joining the site and trying PM, let us know when, and we’ll send a test message from the one who processed them (because we know they got that one, at least).

    • When. WHEN did you contact them several times?
The day after it was posted?

(I’m one of the admins – John forwarded me your response when you replied to the auto-notification instead of following the link. To address your other point in that one, there is no “most” trend for users and their contact. There’s some and many, and a lot of equal wedges of a pie. Except for directions. An awful lot have a hard time following directions. I’m be tempted to say “most, at some point” ignore, misread or don’t see directions for something or other along the way.)

  2. To js,

It is heartening to see you all have thought through the process of actually making surviving a terrible issue attainable. Talk and plans mean so little while actions, results and supplies speak volumes.
