Hi everyone. I’m hismrsfinnegan and I’m new to the group. I used to be better prepared for emergencies but last year I became very I’ll and almost died and some family members decided to go through my preps and help themselves.
So, here I sit with some food, a little bit of water, some emergency supplies left and an empty 72hour kit. I need to start over.
I’m also a widow living on a limited income with few friends and family hundreds of miles away.
I want to rebuild my preps as quickly as I can but I feel alone in this task. There may be some funds next year that can help with food and some supplies but I feel like I need to start NOW.
I am planning on water and working on food storage, tp, basics to start. My main goal is my 72hour kit. Warm clothes, will socks, etc…
It’s been many years since I started my prepping and to get home after months in the hospital to find things missing is disheartening, but I can’t give up. I need to do SOMETHING.
Anyone with any advice, it would be greatly welcomed. My first goal is to make sure none of my neighbors know of my prepping and only 2 family members can be trusted. (Not even my kids at tjis point). They live 200 miles away and we are working on fixing up my home in case they can get here when SHTF.
Thanks for letting me join the grouo. I’m sure I’ll have many questions but I want to share as well.
