Like the title says

I am reaching out to any like minded Preppers or Prepper Families in or around East Tennessee.

I am willing to email ideas back and forth to run scenarios by each other. Or meet you in a public place for a cold drink and just shoot the breeze for awhile and bounce ideas off of each other to try to keep you from making mistakes i may have already made or so you can help me to keep from making mistakes you may have already made and learned from. Cause it helps to learn from other peoples mistakes that cost time and money.

Here’s a little about me. I am located in the mountains of East Tennessee 30 minutes from North Carolina and Virginia. We live on a small acreage farm. Where we raise Chickens, Rabbits, Meat Goats and an occasional Hog. My wife is wanting to become a better gardener. My daughter is wanting to work on raising milk goats. We have trail horses. We work hard to prepare for bad situations and emergencies because I am sure trouble is coming and it is going to be bad.

I am an Eagle Scout and Ex-Army Infantry. Came home and served locally in the Tennessee Defense Force. I am a Community Service Minded individual but i won’t let my family be a victim. I am a licensed Tennessee Handgun Permit Instructor. A certified CERT “Community Emergency Response Team”Instructor. I used to be a decent mechanic before they computerized everything. I am a certified Glock Armorer. I am working to learn how to reload. I was certified in CPR and as a First Responder in Tennessee. Working to obtain my Ham License.

Feel free to contact me and we will see where it goes from there.

Take care, Keep your powder dry and Watch your Six.

Are you or any of your friends interested in learning about radio communications? Do you want to stay in touch with your family and friends during an emergency? Perhaps you would like to have the ability to communicate world-wide during a disaster….

If so then why not let us teach you the skills and knowledge you will need in order to become a fully qualified ham radio operator? Maybe you just want to get a pair of handheld walkie talkies for family use, we can help you with that too.  Our goal is to establish a network of radio operators worldwide who can pass information/news/advice to each other during any disaster, and are willing to provide full free training to anyone who is interested.

You can find us on our facebook page or by private messaging us on the site here.

Hello,

I am currently in the SE part of the US and I am moving to the SW. I have been working on getting my wife to understand the importance of preparing for various possible (and probable) disasters which she doesn’t want anything to do with. It puts me in a difficult spot knowing when the time comes I will have to make a decision I don’t want to make. With that said, I know what is in my heart and upbringing which is why I joined this forum. I am not a “professional prepper”, I admittedly have a lot to learn but I have to say I am better off than most (even if it is just knowledge). I am looking for a group in AZ that is interested in a family oriented, outdoors type, family-man that will be relocating to be near family and work. I am interested in finding either a “hunt camp” or a group that would allow either RV, weekend tent get-aways, or a small shed/house type structure if property is already secured. If it’s a group that gathers to share thoughts and ideas/plans (with no property) that’s fine too. FTF will be delayed until physical move is complete (expected around end of May ’16). I am open to interviews online pending mutual approval for a FTF meeting (email is in profile or post to this message for replies and initial contact). Stay safe out there!

We are a family of six (four teen/young adult children) living in the mountains a couple of hours north of Spokane.  Looking to make a few connections to share info and possibly projects.

About us – we are conservative Christian family with conservative politics.  We are not heavy conspiracy theorist types.  We do not belong to a group (yet).  We simply want to be more self sufficient and extremely well prepared for any troubled times that may lie ahead. We made the move from living in suburbs all over the USA to a rural location miles away from the nearest small town.  Strong supporters of traditional, conservative interpretations of the US Constitution including the 1st, 2nd and 4th amendments.

Our home and land is constantly under revision with several current projects underway or completed, and many projects planned.  We have clean water, great hunting, large gardens and we have started out on livestock  (successfully) with raising chickens and turkey.  Getting ready for goats (2016) and eventually cattle.

I am looking to connect with people who have working/hands on knowledge of the following:

  1. Gardening and food production
  2. Communications – Ham Radio for home, vehicle and compact portable units.  CB radio and general comms.
  3. Vehicle maintenance – I like working on older trucks but its a learning process as I am not a mechanic.  Heavy interest in older trucks due to resistance to EMP.  Plus, they’re just plain fun.
  4. Emergency power generation
  5. Gunsmithing/builds/scenario based target practice
  6. Home security and defense

We do not bring people to our home until we know them well.  Would prefer to establish communication via email first, then possibly meet at a public location like a restaurant.  This is simply networking and exchanging knowledge, but we have also exchanged time on family projects with people we’ve gotten to know.

We are also willing to share our experiences of moving out of the suburbs to a rural area.  We made a few mistakes and also have successes.

Let me know if you are interested in connecting. Thanks!
