My family and I are new to prepping but are very serious. We have many skills to offer but need help getting organized.
My husband and I are 45 and 34, respectively, and we have a 2 ½ year old daughter as well as a 9 year old Labrador. We have a very large Paid Off(!) house on about a half-acre in a very small town in central North Dakota. The house in its current configuration has 9 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on three floors plus a full basement; we plan to change that to 8 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The town has a whopping 45 residents. We also have 10 acres in another centrally located state that has one payment left (Woo-hoo!) That land is beautiful, but it is raw land with no improvements other than the road in and that is 4 wheel drive only. We travel for work all of the time right now, and had been prepped on a small scale for a long time and had been storing our stuff on the 10 acres (since it was centrally located) but the location was unattended and sadly we were robbed of most our goodies. So we have begun laying away again slowly in amounts that we can keep with us at all times. We are taking steps to move to the house very soon (probably mid-April) and begin prepping in earnest to make that our main bug-in/bug-out location. It has always been our goal to live as self-sufficiently as possible while making use of the grid yet being ready for it to fail. We have many skills and are pretty handy with a toolbox. The house needs a lot of work. It’s well worth it and has many excellent features as well. We are looking for some friends (extended family) that can benefit from the space we have in excess and have skill sets we don’t. (There’s always room for a carpenter and a medic, lol)
We are not looking for someone to provide security while we feed them or someone to feed us while we provide security for them. We think working together and recognizing each other’s strengths and weaknesses will make a much stronger bond between members.
This is not for everyone however it is for some if this is you feel free to contact us, ask anything that’s on your mind, we will answer. CountrynPeaches[at]live[dot]com.
P.S. Unlike other groups we have seen, you can occupy (if all agree) i.e. we accept you and you accept us at will. We do expect a certain amount of participation. In our opinion you should be able to realize and employ the benefits of your efforts as it pertains to your situation.
United We Stand. Divided We Fall.
I would like to thank all who have inquired. We feel like we have had great response. It is a big house although space is limited. Pets are welcome but subject to approval (inside or outside)

I am currently interested in joining or helping to start a preppers mutual assistance group in central N.D. Currently their is a group that is forming and it is just starting out and quite small. Speaking for myself I like people from all over the country, and the world for that matter, as I am sure most in the group do, but if you are not currently in N.D., or very near the border, this would probably not be the best group for you. If you are planning on moving to N.D. great, but it’s hard to meet and make a lot of plans until AFTER you have arrived and found a place to stay. I don’t think we want the wanna-be Rambo types either. In my opinion this group would be looking for people who are like minded, want to be prepared for as many potential problems as possible, have some skills or assets to contribute to the group, and can practice good opsec.
A little info about myself. I am a married man, early 40′s. I spent 4 years in the army airborne infantry (11C1P). I have 8 years experience in law enforcement as well. I grew up hunting, and camping, and loved shooting and learned how to reload when I was young also. My wife is in her late 30′s, and she has a lot of medical training. Our 4 children range in age from 8-15.
I myself currently have a BOL in central N.D. (less than 1/2 tank of gas drive from my home), that is approx. 4 1/2 acres with a well (there is also a small portion of a larger pond jutting into my property). There is a large quonset hut with a cement floor that’s in pretty good shape, and a few other small wooden buildings. It also has several grain bins that I usually rent out. I would like to take most of the buildings down, except the quonset, and a couple grain bins maybe. It is surrounded by farmland, there are some shelter belts in the distance as well, and the closest town about 1/2 mile a way is VERY small, less than 100 residents, who are mostly farmers and their families. It is fairly flat, but I would still like to do a little landscape to it and plant what would basically be a large garden. I would like to keep the small pond area with the cattails, as it attracts ducks and geese, also deer like to occasionally like to bed down in the cattails. I would also like to get some bee hives and maybe a greenhouse on it. I was also thinking about perhaps planting the perimeter with some trees and bushes to help keep wind out and make a bit more shelter for pheasants and grouse. This is unfortunately something that isn’t going very fast since I still have 4 kids in school with activities all year long not to mention a 90 mile drive 1 way just to get there. Anybody in the central N.D. area interested in putting in some labor in helping me get it fixed up as a fully proper BOL, would certainly earn a fair amount of the fruits of that labor, and in a SHTF scenario, the quonset hut could house several people, especially if it was to get some interior design makeovers before hand. Anyone serious about joining the group or helping feel free to PM me, or join the Central N.D. Mutual Support Group site. [url]http://www.ndmsg.webs.com[/url]
Thanks.
Looks like they are giving another shot at forming a group. Need some more people to show up than last year, and while lots of people always say they are going to show up, few do, then it seems like most just want to play show and tell with their bug out bags and guns.

There was a meeting scheduled for Sat. Nov. 10th, but then of course we got freezing rain on Fri. night then a foot of snow on Sat. so it got cancelled. The person organizing the effort this time is looking at January hopefully. There will be updates on the central north dakota preppers mutal support group site (ndmsgDOTwebsDOTcom). Please let us know who is interested.

My wife and I just moved to the ND SD border. We started preppinging before Y2K and just kept on. We had no mentor so we had to reinvent the wheel constantly. If we didn’t we would probably be sporting designer preps by now…. We are willing to mentor and share our knowledge. What we are looking for is other prepper in a reasonable distance for friendship, fellowship and mutual aid. We are Christians, and morality is very important. If you plan to use the chaos to become a warlord and steal from the less fortunate, please do not bother to say hi.
Hello,
I wanted to reach out to people that live in the Fargo or surrounding area and talk about prepping. I started earlier this year and have not been able to make any connections in the area.
Thank you!
Hello folks. My fiancee and I can be considered fairly new to prepping. We are getting married june 9. We live in Dickinson ND, she has family in Minot and Mayville, so we travel around a bit.
We are looking for others in the state/are to work with for mutual support/aid. I am steel fabricator by trade right now. She is a teacher of 25 years. This year i hope to get back into hunting and fishing. Our interests are many.
Reply if your interested in chatting. Will take things from there.
God Bless.
So we are having a very hard time connecting with anyone in eastern ND. Very strange that people want to talk and possibly meet but unwilling to return messages.
We have connected with 1 person but they are in NW ND more than 250 miles away his family and preps sound great but we can’t relocate to their town
We are new to prepping and looking for Evangelical Christians who have knowledge on prepping. My fiancé has a fear of an EMP pulse as she is addicted to electronics. I have always been prepping food I guess over the years, Honorable discharge from the USN, NRA marksman. I have been trained as an EMT, I have hands on basic surgical knowledge, cold weather survival training but I have MS.
My fiancé has Multiple Sclerosis too but she has always been storing foods, paper products etc
We own a small home in a very small town in the middle of the sticks. And we are looking for others like us.
Thanks for everyone’s time
Meeting People! Networking
I totaly agree with meeting people close to you, see what there doing and what not. But everyone believes what they want to believe. But people need to meet on this site from all over. Comment on peoples posts talk to each other. Because in this day and age with all the travel we do for fun and work, we never know where we will be when anything happens. So knowing more people like us only helps all of us in the long run. Thats my thoughts!!
im looking for like minded people to join myself and others to be prepared for anything. i am a jack of all trades. im a mechanic and a carpenter/electrician and i do have a plumber in my group. hit me up here if you are in the area and interested in meeting up and swaping ideas.
Transplant from Seattle wants to associate with ND preppers. Send me a message.

I also am willing to relocate.
I have much to offer and bring to the table besides just skills and would prefer others that have a like mind when it comes to this lifestyle.

Ranch in South Eastern Montana (high desert) is looking for a live-in Ranch Foreman. Your job is to watch over the place and tend to the livestock when I am gone. You will be on your own several months each year. The chores here will only take an hour or so each day that I am absent. You will need to count the cows ( one day a week every week ) and every day that I am gone it will range from a few to over 100. You will also need to deal with trespassers. The other days that I am here you don’t need to do anything. This is a trade or barter arrangement. You get a 10 acre lot to use for your own desires and for RV parking.
The property is off-grid there is no power.
There is no sewer or water hookups.
You need to have your own RV.
You need to be able to fend for yourself. There is no pay, so you will need to have your own form of income.
You do NOT need ranch experience.
This could be a very long term situation for the right person.
You will need to be a person of good morals. (I will check your background).
I’m a new member of some of these online preparedness communities. I only “saw the light” within the past year or so and really put some effort into getting my life squared away so that I’m ready for the uncertain future. I’m just now beginning to try to look for others of like mind to pool resources with, or at least share ideas and communicate with. My situation is less than ideal- I own a home in a city, which in a true WROL type situation I probably wouldn’t attempt to defend, and have a slightly better semi-rural “retreat” property which unfortunately is still too small of a plot, and too near large numbers of unconcerned and unprepared neighbors to be of real practical value.
As I’m relatively young and still unattached, I am willing to consider extricating myself from my current situation and move closer to others of a like mind- whether just for the benefits of proximity in terms of training and sharing information and supplies, or to actually participate in a community/shared defense/self-sustaining type of retreat situation. I’ve spent my entire adult life working in the financial industry so unfortunately my skill set as relates to survival and preparedness is rather limited to what I’ve managed to pick up via hobbies and reading. I am familiar and comfortable with the outdoors-I can hunt, fish, and use and maintain firearms to a reasonable degree. I have a limited understanding of the operation of light to heavy construction equipment, large trucks, as well as most other common tools and implements.
More importantly, I’m intelligent, take direction well, and am willing to learn and willing to work. Along with honesty, loyalty, and trustworthiness these are both the qualities I demand of myself, and the qualities I look for in others.
If any existing communities in the Minnesota/Iowa/Wisconsin/Dakota area need another reliable pair of hands, or if anyone is looking to buy or develop property to establish a new retreat/community, or if any other folks just interested in preparedness in general just want to talk and exchange ideas- please don’t hesitate to send an email. It sucks going down this road alone!
God bless,

Hello, my wife and I and my stepson are looking for others who would be interested in buying land in N. Minnesota.
Currently, we have a farm in W. Central Minnesota which we have for sale with interested buyers. After it is sold we would like to find other couples who would be interested in purchasing a larger tract of land to be subdivided by other families or individuals for agriculture, timber and security reasons. We are Christians and prefer hard working, honest Christians, but we do not demand that you be a Christian. However, we would like someone who is helpful and cooperative who wouldn’t mind shairing our labor and expertise with others building, putting up fences, logging and other things required for independent living. Also you should be security minded and work with us and other families to make our area secure in a time of possible economic collapse. We are practical people with gardening, animal husbandry skills and all other matters of working towards independence. I’m a professional person, but have carpentry skills too. Don’t be afraid to write and communicate and let’s see if there are others like us out there who know that the future looks precarious. It is better to be proactive rather than reactive in these times.
Hello there. My wife and I would like to join a well established group located somewhere in ID, MT, WY, WA, ND area. The safer and better the retreat will of course be our first choice.
About us. We are both military officers. She is currently on Active Duty and I just did six years in Iraq/Afghanistan for the state department with one of the big name contracting companies.
In the Army I was an Infantry officer and Special Forces. I have been through the 18D and 18A course. Ranger LRSD plenty of other schools. I am a Hazmat Technician and Weapons of Mass Destruction Specialist if you have CBRNE concerns. My resume is extensive and I dont want to list it all here. included are Sniper, Gunsite shotgun/carbine/pistol – all completed their highest course. Multiple combat awards.
Wife and I are both from Alaska and backwoods savvy. I am a life member of National Trappers Assoc and can trap and snare and own a dream trapline.
We are of high moral character. We have no children though my wife loves them. We are well equipped but still need to get our food reserves. We are financially sound. We lack mechanical and agricultural experience. Tactically, wilderness survival and self defense wise, or NBC related – we pretty much have covered.
Thanks. Drop me an email at jcl [dot] ups [at] gmail [dot] com
Looking for likeminded folk in North Dakota
My wife and three children live on a 12 acre farm in eastern ND and by way of life style we have by default become preppers. We are strong traditionally minded people with a deep christian faith. It is our belief that the worst of times are coming if not already in their onset. We believe that to weather the storm it will be a neccessary to form enclaves of like minded people to pool our resources, knowledge and skills. Please lets form our networks before TEOTWAWKI.
North Dakota Emergency Preparedness Group
Looking for like-minded people in the Bismarck-Mandan area and surrounding communities to form a group. The main purpose of the group is to share ideas and resources related to emergency preparedness, food storage, sustainability, etc. Hoping to find others so we can all learn from each other.
