Looking for business partners who would like to invest in facilities to produce food and other self-sufficient products for the partners.  I have a large private country property and am interested in finding like minded people with a Christian philosophy and have a high standard of values and integrity.   I have a large watersource and would like to establish a high tunnel aquaculture greenhouse that is diversified for several uses.  Would like to have people with all types of skills and knowledge to contribute and in return the options are open as to what you need.   Some of the possibilities are use of land for a place to live full or part-time,  a network of people who want to work together and support each other.  To build a self-sufficient way of living to produce many of the needs for daily living as possible.   If no survival situation is in effect there is the option to have a vacation retreat.  The goal is to produce excess of our needs to barter trade or sell or exchange for needs.  We’re are located between the Green Mts. and the foothills of the Adirondack Mtns.  Non-smokers please(have allergies), and no drugs.  It would be great to have our own little community.    Please contact me for more information or  if you have any questions.   Mr. HRS      hsheri3609 [at] aol [dot] com

I am a woman, 50 years old. I have skills in canning, gardening. I lived in a log cabin for many years. There were millions of berries outside my home. I turned them all into jam. I’m not stupid in the ways of survival, but I could sure use some help to learn new skills. On a prepping skill I am probably at a 4, I need to be at a 9 at least. I get a lot of info through reading. I need some buddy to help me practice.

What I want to learn is how to hunt. I trapped 11 squirrels and 1 chipmunk in my have a heart trap last summer. I was on the catch and release plan then, now I want to turn them into dinner.

I want to learn to build a survival shelter. I want to learn to make fire without matches. There is so much I want to know, I just need someone to teach me.

If you live near me and are up for a challenge, send me a message. We all have something to teach and we all have something to learn.

This is my first post. (It’s Feb. 9, 2013) My wife and I have decided we need to become preppers. I am looking for other folks in Western New York, especially around West Seneca or Buffalo. I’m hoping to hear from somebody, but the WNY posts make it seem like WNY is a prepper ghost town. I’m hoping to be proven wrong.

Hi Everybody

I have a partner as well, and two small dogs. I’ve been preparing for 5 to 7 years, maybe 10, maybe 11, depending on how you look at it.

Anyway, I am looking to buy or join others on a property approximately 15 to 30 acres and position several all-season travel trailers on the land, or perhaps some other arrangement if someone else has something better in mind. I’m flexible on location right now, since I have none at the moment. Thinking about upstate NY, central/western/northern VT, western Mass, NH, possibly Maine, possibly CT.

At the moment I live on five acres overlooking the Hudson River about 20-something miles north/northwest of the city, about 35 minutes by express train from Grand Central, 45 minutes by car.

The more serious that I get about it, the more uncertain my “serious” prepper friends become about it, and that really concerns me. I have suggested a budget of $50,000 per household, being $30,000 toward land purchase and $20,000 toward housing accommodation. Well that got cold feet, and that concerns me because I don’t see how we could actually get by a freezing cold winter of 4- to 5- months long unless we are prepared to pay for it. Perhaps we could do with a lesser budget for land were we to find something suitable in NH or ME.

So I am looking to find others who are seriously interested and/or who may already have land and might be interested in my joining with my partner.

Hey how you doing fellow preppers out there  I’m .was just wondering the cost of any land out there in NH,VT,ME,MA, CTor NY all in higher elevations, at least 500 feet or more above sea level on an acre or two of land .. It just came to me to look up online for others like me . Ive tried talking with people I know and no “dice” , Some people are just stuck in that Neanderthal stat of mind.. O.. Well……. Im a great asset to any group or camps of preppers with skills and supplies . Iv been getting ready for a year 1/2 now I have everything I need to survive a full year or more without leaving the house.. I have seeds of all kinds to plant, 55 gal drums of gas, propane, kerosine , generators, heaters… Water, water filters, weapons,, plenty of weapons and great amounts of ammunition.. Willing to help who ever with building a good location but don’t want to pay $$ to much for land when I could use that money $$ towards more supplies and shelter . . I would be able to put some serious time into working on a location I come alone not married or kids.. not yet anyway;; . I prep to be safe and ready!!! for what ever comes our way these day time are changing really fast and if you don’t see that then your a fool, I’ve tried to cover all the bases as far as what could happen and where but I still have a lot to learn (I just purchased a few books on hunting, trapping, plating, defense ect,ect.. But already know a bit on everything .. This is when others and other groups come in hand… I’m fit, have my own business 24 years now.. im really good with my hands and can build anything and fix anything figure out situations of all sorts, Well I’ve said enough,, I think we should talk and maybe meet so we can get a better sense of one another .. Need that trust!!! jmskimcoat [at] aol [dot] com.. Hope to hear back from you … Prep On!!!!

When the inevitable happens, be it economic, plague, energy, nuclear, or any other type of pandemic many will fall.  I am 35 years old, a father, a citizen and a prepper.  While a majority of preppers are focusing on hoarding food, and supplies I prescribe to a different approach.  I would like to begin a network of like minded individuals who will do WHAT IT TAKES to defend themselves and their families.  Looking for people who I can trust and in return trust them when the time comes.  It is not running out of “supplies” that worries me.  The fact is that here in the Hudson Valley we live 90 miles north of New York City, which is unsustainable, and a ticking time bomb of 20 million possible refugees.  From the city refugees will walk north in search of food and yes loot everything in their path.  For example: this guy Aton Edwards, a dangerous man in his own right, who is currently holding prepper training in New York City, has stated that the number one goal is to get out of the city.  Do you think you could stop Anton and his followers once he has been on the road for a week and starving?  Simply saying you have a gun is naive, guns get taken away, or out gunned.  Maybe you could stop a few Antons but not all of them.  Being situated next to a megalopolis is different than those residing in far off remote locations.  No residence will be safe, fire will make quick work out of fortified structures.  Those with large caches of supplies will become targets, those alone will become victims.  If what I am saying makes sense to you, than make the first step and reply.   Law enforcement types, office sissies, and Christians need not apply, not to be trusted.

I am looking for other like minded preppers that want to form a network. I am 36 and considered or labeled an air force brat. My father was a senoir master srgnt in the air force, now retired. I am buddhist in nature and don’t like violence but realize there is strength in numbers and being prepared for what is to come is essential for survival. I am looking for decent good people to join together with in forming a strong network. I don’t have much, but am willing to share with others. I have a pistol grip shotgun with some ammo. Always trying to build/expand materials essential for survival. I do have some food stored. Also have a good friend who was an EMT that has medical training and is on board with me. If interested in my pst please get back to me at scottishitaliano30 at ya who dot com. Its the big Y. I’m sure you can figure the email out. Thanks and much appreciated. Take care

Hello everyone.

I’m mostly new to this website, although I’ve been prepping for more than a year now. For another 4 to 5 months, I’m stuck in a fairly small apartment, so my prepping has been limited by space.  So far, I’ve built up a substantial go-bag (using a large ALICE pack).   I’ve also got plenty of weapons and hunting/mechanical/survival skills (always improving too), but can’t really start a formal food and/or water storage until after I get my house.

The biggest problem I have is co-preppers, or more specifically, lack thereof.    If the crap ever does hit the proverbial fan, it would be nice to have other people with similar skills and mindsets to “join forces” with.    Ultimately, it would be optimal if there were different skillsets.  For example….one person good with mechanics, one with hunting, one with medical/first aid, one with agriculture, ect….ect..

I’m sure that there’s tons of others that are in the same boat, so feel free to say hi if you’re in the area.
