Christian Group looking for a few qualified individuals to add to a 2A group. Over 100 mountainous acres, on a dead-end one-lane road natural springs that originate on the land some pasture, and areas for fruit trees. Good for chickens, goats, and cattle.
My wife and I are Christians retired with moderate monthly income (long as the economy lasts). We are learning to live a self-sustaining lifestyle full time. We decided to make a permanent change in our lifestyle to start getting off the grid as we can and then staying off the grid in a secure, secluded area.
I don’t want to work hard and dumb but simple and basic. We have a lot of tools and equipment to work with. We are hoping to also get (or build) a sawmill.
We have the basic supplies for over one year. We started with a camper to live in so we could build a more permanent living structure. We now have a used trailer house on the land some of the others have campers and a house. I will soon start to build with some type of an earthen structure from one of the following: COB, Hemp, Wood- Chip Lime mix, CEB, (compressed earth block) Rammed Earth, Rammed Earth Bags and/or Adobe utilizing the reactive home concept for a living structure (no mechanical heating or cooling) as taught by Bill Mollison long before Mike Reynolds’ Earth Ship concept ever came along. We are thinking about building our own CEB press. We also have the material and are looking to build a metal roof for a building about 40’x40″² using earth walls from local soil.
I believe biofuel is one answer for renewable fuel and garbage scrap disposal.
Walapiniea is the only real answer to a year-round renewable food source of vegetables that I am aware of. Built as a reactive greenhouse.
Walipini, also known as a sunken greenhouse, underground greenhouse, pit greenhouse, or earth-sheltered greenhouse, is a structure with the growing area dug into the ground.
We are utilizing compost toilets and have built two of them so far with good results.
We have a well and a spring box water system in place. We have designs for a renewable purification system without going to the store for filters. We built a furnace to make activated charcoal to use with sand. We have most of the purification system ready to assemble into food-grade 55 gal barrels.
We want and need others to help work on the common area projects preparing them for the group’s use for when it all falls apart.
I am learning more every day and by no means have even scratched the surface so I want to learn all I can from others as well.
We have converted lights over to LED lighting, 12v rolls of strip lights placed in the old 120v light fixtures. With changes in electrical consumption, we have cut our usage by more than half getting ready to switch to solar and wind with battery storage.
For a lot of us, we use no medications as we are learning to use essential oils, herbs, and supplements hoping to start growing a lot of what we will need. I am learning how to make tinctures and our own E oils. As well as canned and fermented foods(the more of this the less refrigeration needed).
I am one of the Vets, Army 73 to 77 was Motor Sgt in Germany.
Our group has construction experience, electrical, plumbing, welding, machine, metal buildings & roofs (built one retrofit roof the size of two-foot ball fields on top of an 82″² high roof), mechanic of older gas and diesel, solar hot water system, semi-truck driver, reloading experience and equipment, gunsmith, canning experience with canning equipment farming and tactical, to name some.
I have worked relief on two hurricanes working almost 30 days with each one. So I have seen total destruction, civil disorder, rioting, marshal law with state troopers, and the national guard called out while there. I’ve also seen families who were desperate and not prepared at all along with families who never missed a beat as they were ready for the natural disaster that hit. I lived at a mission base 16 years ago with my oldest son for two months in the Amazon without power, so we ate meat only when we caught or killed it.
Fifteen years ago we lived in a camper for a year on the road along the eastern coast from Niagara Falls, driving along with the outer bank islands to Beaumont Texas while homeschooling.
We are looking for group members with Christian values to connect with who would then relocate, or that live in the area this will not be an easy process as we will need to get to know each other (although time is short). Don’t need decoder rings but security is important. A tutanota free email account is a requirement if you choose to start the vetting process after we have our first few exchanges of email and phone calls. We are not looking for members to just join the group, but who will become a part of the group, forming friendship and trust where we know we have each other’s back or 6 as some say.
We (my family) have served the Lord for 28 years full time without a paying full-time job so we are not rich so if you are looking for someone with a lot of money look somewhere else. If you would like a Godly relationship with a hard-working and honest group then we are open to more communications as to how we could fit together. We need members who can support themselves, work as a team, and are not looking for a free ride or handouts.
Four personal references will be required for each person 18 and older. If you can’t get 4 references from other than family members don’t even start the vetting process as you are wasting your time.
If you want to talk about someday maybe doing something then find someone who is looking to someday maybe doing something to talk to.
If you are ready to act now, I have much more to share but will do so in a more private way. So email me so we can talk privately.
Email me and I will send you my phone number.
