Southwestern Oregon Preppers (SWOP) will be holding a meeting at Noon on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the North Bend Public Library, 1800 Sherman Ave #3495, North Bend, OR 97459.

The main topic is “What We Can Count On”. Preppers usually focus on things changing and what they can’t count on. However, some things never change. We will have a round table discussion about what doesn’t change and how to use that in our preparations.

SWOP meetings always start with a question and answer period before the main topic so all in attendance get a chance to participate.

This is a free public meeting to get to know fellow local preppers in southwestern Oregon counties and to exchange information and ideas. It is important for individuals to understand that they will be “on their own” in the event of a disaster and not depend on receiving outside help. Join Southwestern Oregon Preppers on Facebook and/or meetup.com.

I am seeking another single or couple to share resources at my home in Upstate NY for growing and preserving  food, building community, energy efficiency and sustainable living. I have a quonset hut for additional living quarters available or space for a tiny house or yurt.

A new group is forming in Northeastern Oregon. An area that is rather invisible to the rest of the prepper community.

Group is named North Eastern OregonPreppers.  Their website has not gone active but will soon.  NEOregonPreppers.net

Looking for members in the area as well as affiliation with existing groups.  You know stronger nets have more ties.

We are a married couple of 46 years in our late 60’s. We started prepping in 1984. Well provisioned, husband is retired Army, wife served 2 years. We have experience raising pigs, chickens and dogs. Some gardening abilities with room for improvement. Some basic medical skills. Husband has basic construction skills and RV repair skills in addition to other skills. Wife does the animal raising.

Our current group is in a state of denial for the current events in the world and America, so we are looking to join a DEDICATED group who’s membership is aware of what is happening and realize we only have a few months at best. We currently live in western Colorado, but are very willing to relocate to a better location.

I organize a group of men in NE Oklahoma who routinely train small unit tactics, marksmanship, radios, medical, and preparedness in general.

We are currently in search of anyone who would be willing to train and organize with us, especially those who are not so much “trigger pullers,” but specialize in areas such as gardening, raising livestock, food preservation, communications, higher-level medical skills, etc. We want to expand our network of likeminded individuals in the area to the greatest extent possible.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re in the area and interested.

Republican government, moral people to be around, kids, gardens, chickens, self reliant living . Montana.

I think we will have major changes by march that will be a real problem for families that are not already where they need to be.

We all have something to contribute as well as different skills and abilities. Say hello at [email protected]   Montana is a good place with low population density, easy homeschooling, decent values and low restrictions on firearms.

Looking for others either already here or wanting to get out of the woke cities. We have some resources to make things happen right now ….

Do your own reasearch on the millions of illegal aliens coming in across the southern USA border. Almost all males of military age. If you are in or close to the 14 major cites they are being bused and flown to……..it is time to relocate.

Ready for a cyber attack any day now?  It is getting real people.

Southwestern Oregon Preppers (SWOP) will be holding its monthly meeting at Noon, Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Port Orford Public Library, 1421 Oregon St., Port Orford OR 97465.

The main topic is “Threat Awareness”. Society as we knew it is no longer. Crime is rampant. We will discuss what to look for and how to prepare yourself so you don’t become a statistic.

SWOP meetings always start with a question and answer period before the main topic so all in attendance get a chance to participate.

This is a free public meeting to get to know fellow local preppers in southwestern Oregon counties and to exchange information and ideas. Really Simple,

Connect with fellow minded prepper’s, who would like to exchange ideas, skills, learn, discuss, and who are sane. We can meet in a public place, coffee shop, etc. As a hard and fast rule, for me, those who hate America, want to just shoot stuff, take and not give, liar, cheat or steal, DO NOT EVEN RESPOND. Stay clear. Learning about prepping, which is mainstream today, is NOT about starting a Militia, if you want that, join the Army. Why prep? Well besides our government suggesting it, as it will protect our nation in the long run, it is just really smart to do it. Every single person is a prepper. Don’t believe it? Then cancel all your life insurance policies, savings accounts, and just keep one day’s worth of food in your cupboards.

I’m a stable, educated white collar professional who doesn’t feel safe the way the World is going so I’m looking to form a Non-Political Prepping Survival Group Not Cult with other College Educated professionals (Nurses, Police, Military would be welcome) to be able to Prep and Bug Out With Only if the SHTF.

Ask yourself this, if an event happened which made the LA Riots look like a Kumbaya Earth Day Festival and you couldn’t leave your residence and had no access to outside food & water for 1-3 months, would you survive? Even if you had these resources at home how would you prevent the Hungry & Thirsty from Invading Your Home and taking what they want leaving you to starve? That’s why I want to form Prepping/Survival Group in  Los Angeles (I’m in Chatsworth near Northridge in the Valley), so we would have a way to survive such an event by planning for it in advance & having resources & a system in place to go to should it happen.

Hopefully things will never happen & we can all continue to live our lives in comfort but at least we have a form of insurance, ourselves, in case the SHTF.

Every person would have to contribute something to the group. For instance I can contribute #10 Canned freeze dried good tasting Food that lasts 25 years plus Dried Food like Pasta, etc) that lasts 2-3 years, an Ecoflow Max 2000 Electric/Solar Generator & a Good Electric Bike as well as brains, organizational skills, creativity and good instincts from someone who spent the first 18 years of his life in NYC where you grow up real fast to survive. You need to contribute something similar.

Preferably you have no children or pets but that is open for discussion. The goal is to establish a Bug Out location where if the situation warranted it if the SHTF (No services, police, etc.) we could sit things out in relative comfort and safeness in this bug out location.

Hopefully things will never come to that but if it does, you’re screwed unless you plan and implement things in advance, hence this Survival Prepping Group. Not interested in any alcoholics or cokeheads. Pot is OK as well as social drinking (I don’t drnk) as long as you are not permanently stoned or can’t be relied upon.

If interested please email me at [email protected] and tell me what you have to offer, etc. If you do the usual LA half ass reply you’re wasting your time even in replying. From there people I contact based on your initial reply and a follow-up phone call would all meet in a Public Place and see who feels comfortable with similar mindsets to pursue things further.

Everyone including myself would be vetted as I don’t want to be around people with psychopathic, sociopathic, criminal, never do well tendencies and records, etc., but only people I know I can coincide with.

If I could, I would form this group with friends and family, unfortunately none of them want to think and prepare for the worst in advance before it happens and I do. I’d rather err on the side of caution and have an insurance policy.

About Myself: I grew up in NYC where I lived till I was 18, have a BA in English from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Columbia University in NY. Since then I’ve been all over the US & lived in London for 5 years where I produced some name Blues Rock bands & musicians you may have heard of as we well as holding a financial auditing job for security. I loved Producing which I still do & tolerated my secure white collar job. I don’t have kids by choice!  I live in San Fernando Valley near Northridge.

Looking to meet like minded people in central Wyoming.  Have small family, known as a jack of all with many skills.  Not a big socialite, but realizing to survive more than a year we need to look for a group of similar thinking families.

Survival Sanctuary near Mt. St. Helens, SW Washington/NW Oregon

We are a little private Sanctuary in the foothills of Mt. St. Helens, east of Kelso, WA. House at 300′ elevation, 5 forested acres (alder, maple, cedar, fir, blackberries), directly adjacent to millions of acres of uninhabited forest land where we can freely roam (deer, elk, coyote, bear, cougar) We are edge-of-the-wilderness, not city, town, or farm-based, although we grow a large garden.

We prepare for nuclear war, (actual) disease plague (by self-isolation), climate disruption (although our weakness is forest fire), and general financial/commercial/political collapse (by self-sufficiency). We could make the challenging transition to complete self-sufficiency if necessary (gardening, hunting, fishing, herbal medicine, wood heat).

Current members include a mental-health therapist, a mechanical engineer, a medical pathology assistant, and an amateur gardener and technologist. We have many other skills among us. Several extended family members and their children would probably be our guests in a crisis, but it is hard to predict how many will recognize the crisis in time.

We are not necessarily looking for new members, but will always keep the door ajar (through this ad and local contacts) for 1 or 2 special persons who might come to us by mysterious ways, possibly at the last minute. You might find yourself drawn to us without really knowing why. You might have values that don’t fit in elsewhere. You might be a young couple who can’t get established during the chaos of a crisis. You might be a single parent and youth who need a new support base. You might be someone with special abilities who needs a new family. Or you might be something we just can’t predict, but it will feel right to both of us when me make contact.

In potential new people we look for maturity and good values, as opposed to specific skills. We like people who are open to learning and willing to share what they know. Emotional stability, intelligence, patience, respect, cooperation, and intuition are highly valued. We are allergic to control freaks, politicians, activists, chatter boxes, and the judgmental, impulsive, lazy, or defensive.

Politics and religion are light topics of conversation here, sometimes even jokes, but not ego-battles. We laugh and play when we can, but everyone, of any age, must be capable of grown-up behavior whenever it is needed. Good health and mobility, and strong immune systems, are important to survival. Drug dependencies, significant food allergies, and claustrophobia make survival difficult.

We don’t care how much money you do or don’t have. If you have some, good boots are a high priority. We might be able to facilitate transportation for new people, but a crisis can make getting here difficult or impossible from far away. The Sanctuary might be a residential situation for new members, or you might live close and come out one weekend a month to hike, play board games, help with projects, and share good food.

The Sanctuary is strictly private, not associated with any government, business, religion, or movement. We are a “family” as opposed to a “corporation” or “agency”. We will keep all communications confidential. Write to zimindrixli at the email service that is a cheer of success or discovery.

The main topic is “EVACUATION – ARE YOU REALLY PREPARED?” Some of our members had to prepare to evacuate their homes due to wildfires. We will hear first hand experiences from fellow members.

SWOP meetings always start with a question and answer period before the main topic so all in attendance get a chance to participate.

I bought a small farm last Aug and have cows, goats, pigs and chickens, pantry full of food, prep gear of all sorts, as well as great facilities on my place. what I don’t have is a network of like minded people. At 59, I’m in good shape and have very stong spirit, character and determination, but am shy on prepper/survivalist knowledge and experience. At 5’1” and 115 lbs, SOME of the heavy lifting is difficult for me as well.

I love God, my family and this country. I’m hoping to connect with like minded folks in NW OK with whom I might network.

I really would like to set up aquaponics but feel like it’s more of an undertaking than I’m able to without any knowledge. I’ve purchased 2 10×10 grow tents and everything needed including heirloom seeds, to grow VEGGIES (NOT MJ) year-round. I will be setting them up in my 30×50 shop.

Thanks, V

Currently networking with folks who:

a) want preparedness to be a core part of their lifestyle (even if just starting out),

b) may not fit the stereotypical “prepper” molds, and want to find people of shared interests/values,

c) would like to build a tribe not just for emergencies but also for friendship and fellowship,

d) are sheepdogs at heart, meaning they have a heart of service to provide support/value to others, and

e) stay organized and intentional enough to make it happen.

Yeah, that’s a lot.

I already have a group going, but I’d like to expand my network. I’ve noticed in the preparedness community that there are a lot of us around who are interested in networking, but who may not fit the old-world-conservative, ultra-religious mindsets of many preppers who exclude people based on race, sexuality, religion or lack thereof. On the other side, the leftist, woke mindsets of many communes and homesteaders also exclude us if we support 2A, live as more traditionally masculine men or feminine women, vote Trump, or disagree with drag story hours for kids.

Is it possible that we can build a tribe of people who are rational, compassionate folks who just want to avoid being caught without a shotgun and extra food during the zombie apocalypse? Is it realistic to believe that we could build an organized group of family and friends who can come together for a good ol’ Sunday brunch but also bug-out to our homestead retreat after a coronal mass ejection? Is it reasonable to think that there are thoughtful, organized people out there who will take ownership for their own preparedness and survival and put in the work to build a group, but who will also have a heck of a lot of fun as we get ready for a supervolcano to erupt?

To be clear, we are: inviting of all racial/ethnic backgrounds; LGBT-welcoming; open to singles and to folks in traditional or non-traditional family structures; and friendly to people of all ages. Politically, we range from center-right to center-left, libertarians to classic liberals, and moderates. Spiritually, we each have some sort of spiritual life or sense of meaning, and a mission to something greater than ourselves, while being neither restrictively fundamentalist nor irrationally new age. Also: must like dogs.

Most importantly, we all share a sense of service and compassion, and we want to support our ability to help others by first helping ourselves and making sure we are prepared for any emergencies we may face as individuals and together as a tribe.

Shoot me a message (send a new message to Phoenix23 here on PrepperGroups by going to https://www.preppergroups.com/private-messaging/) if you’d like to chat and hear more, so that you can do some vetting and so we can too, and I’m looking forward to hearing from y’all.

Relocating to Cedar Rapids in January. I’m a single mom of a two and three year old. I’m looking for a community that could help educate me. I don’t have much survival knowledge but I do have tons of info I’ve been researching and once I get settled I will begin buying the things I do know we need. I’m looking to learn any and everything I need to be able to ensure I can keep my babies safe and healthy.
